Grey is doing amazing and everyone is ok. It was easily the most terrifying moment of my life. We have no family history, so this was very new and scary for us. Sorry for making this video intro a little heavy, but it didn’t feel right to just post like nothing is happening when we are all really feeling out of sorts right now! I live in another part of the planet, but I am praying for your child. My daughter suffered from epilepsy for several years. This is the most terrible experience of my life. I hope everything goes well with you and your family. I wish you strength, patience and good doctors.
My heart goes out to you ❤❤❤ I have lived with seizures all my life, I’m 49. I think the best think my mother did when I was younger, she stayed calm which helped stay calm and relax. Please don’t ever be sorry for sharing your thoughts, feelings and life happenings.
God is always with us, even during hard times when it doesn’t seem like it. We can trust Him.
My son had a seizure when he was about the same age,7. The same exact thing happened. He walked to my room and was shaking. I thought he was playing but soon realized he wasn’t. I laud him on the bed and just started praying for him. I took him to the doctor the next day. He had never had a seizure again and he’ll be 27 this year. I agree with the doctor it hopefully is a one time thing and won’t happen again. I’ll keep your son in my prayers. 🙏🏾

I’m so sorry about Gray… my son has a seizure when he was 3 yrs old and I had a new born! He only has had the one episode, never a problem again. It was horrific and I am praying that he will recover fully. Love your channel so much, Aleah. Thank you for your story. ❤❤❤

@@AleahMartins yes they did and it was a febrile seizure. Do to a very high fever.
My son had a seizure in 2023, and he went through a bunch of tests. They said he is fine and nothing is abnormal with him, thank God. It was a scary experience, like you said, seeing your child like that. But my son is nearly 2 and hasn't had one since! His doctors say he's a healthy and happy little boy. Your son and family and you are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤ you're such a great mother and human.

Oh Aleah I’m so sorry you & your family had to experience that especially your mommy heart. I have 4 kids the oldest being 28 and the youngest being 21. My youngest daughter & I were out driving one day 2 years ago & I thought she swatted a fly or a bug or something away & I can’t remember what exactly it was that made me look over at her & I see she’s having a seizure. I instantly pulled over & called 911. She tells everyone that she woke up to me slapping her in the face 😂 not hard obviously but I didn’t know what else to do I just knew I wanted my baby to come out of that. I didn’t know much about seizures let alone how to care for someone who’s having one. You give me hope by telling me what your son’s pediatrician said so thank you for sharing. Sorry to hear about Grayson’s “adventure” between this and how handle his broken leg last year - that kid is a real trooper!! His body woke him up and your Mama instincts woke you up - he is strong like his mother!! I am sorry to tell you but - you will never stop worrying about your children- even when they are married with their own babies

Hi sweet Aleah I am so glad Gray is okay but he will be fine I have a suggestion for under the couch that will help you so much in cleaning they make plastic guards under and if you can't afford it use dollar tree pool noodles to keep things from going under there I love your videos I hope you have a blessed day ☺️

So happy Grey is doing okay, it must have been so scary. I love that for him it will be a cool memory. Great job on the cleaning and decluttering, the living room looks amazing! Just fyi on the sectional… you can buy connector kits that screws in to the base to keep them together, they also have strap sets if you don’t want to put holes in the furniture.

I was a fifth grade teacher at the time and the kids were lining up for music when I had a boy fall to the ground having a seizure. You are right in that it was so scary!!! All was well with the boy but it hit hard!! Take care❤

So glad grayson is okay. My sister had a seizure when she was one year old and it was scary. She never had anymore after that and she's now in here forties xx

Hi Aleah I’m so glad Greyson is doing good. It definitely is scary my son had a seizure when he was only a few months old but I’m happy to say he is 50 years old and never had another one. I do remember being scared to death so I know how you felt. Thanks for sharing with us and great video 💕
Omg you just brought back a memory for me when my daughter was 1 1/2 she had a seizures one minute she was playing and then she was on the floor, we called 911 and went to the hospital and they did tests and all came back normal then they needed to give her an IV and she had another one, but thank god she never had another after that . She's 27 years old now with a baby of her own. I'm glad your son is ok and doing well. Watching your child go through that is so scarry

Hi Aleah. I am so sorry that happened and am happy to hear that your son is okay.
I am so incredibly sorry for what Greyson and your family went through. I have never experienced a seizure in person so I am confident that it would be extremely terrifying especially seeing it happening to a 7 year old child. It is times that like this that we feel so completely helpless. I remember when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and the overwhelming knowledge of knowing that I was not going to be able to heal it. All I could do was try my best to make whatever short amount of time that she had left (4 months) as easy as possible. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully this was a one time event and everything will be fine moving forward. And Greyson proved how resilient kids are in his attitude of looking at the whole experience like some huge exciting adventure that he couldn't wait to tell his friends about.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I can't imagine what it was like. Thank goodness you still have the Mommy ears and heard him. I wanted to tell you some thing I saw on a video on FB. People buy pool noodles and put them under the front edge of the couch to stop things from getting under it. I hope this helps you. Sending prayers for your son and the rest of your family.
My daughter had a seizure when she was a baby, hers was a febrile seizure. I also was so scared and had no idea what to do. Dr's told me the same thing, very common, no worries etc. And it never happened again for us. I'm sorry you experienced that but am thankful you are getting the word out as to just how common it can be. Glad your son is fine and had a "good adventure" 😊

So sorry to hear about Grayson, and hope it's the first and last. Same thing happened to my nephew, had a seizure at around the age of 6, he's now 9 years old and hasn't had a seizure since. Same as Grayson, got to ride the ambulance and was super excited about that lol They completed a bunch of tests and everything came back normal. Super scary as a parent!

My son had epilepsy totally out of the blue when he was 8, he is 18 now and no longer has it, childhood seizures/epilepsy are so common. Then when my daughter was 17 she had a seizure, she is 21 now and hasn't had any since, fingers crossed it stays that way.

So sorry to hear about your scary experience! I can definitely empathize with you. I have two children who had seizures as newborns which turned out to be familial (genetic) but they only lasted a short time (over a period of weeks - felt like forever at the time 😅) and they are now 21 and 16 and totally healthy and never had seizures since! ❤ Prayers that’s the last for Grayson!

I’m new. I’m almost 45 years old and have had epilepsy since I was 10. It can be terrifying for your loved ones but you can get through it! I would say I’ve done pretty good and my family and friends all know how to handle it when it happens and stay calm. People just have to be educated. 🙏🏻 I hope he doesn’t have anymore!

Hi, I am so so sorry your family had to go through that. My daughter's friend had ONE and never again and the doctor said to my friend about the same thing as yours said plus saying NOT to read everything on the internet. Its ok that you talked to us about it, I find that when we go to trauma more we talked about it better we feel. I really am sorry that happend to you my Canadian friend. ❤❤❤❤

Seizurs are terrifying, but thankfully it is usually more traumatizing on the people who witness it than on the one it happens to. I know as parents, we worry about our children being scared and traumatized, so I hope this brings you a little comfort.

I was not aware of how common they can be either, but that does help at least a little, just knowing it is more common and the doctors were not concerned and tests came back good.
With the couch, i just checked Amazon and they sell Interlocking sofa connector brackets for pretty cheap, that you can attach to the couch pieces you have, so you can attach them.

If it calms you a little more: My son had a seizure when he was 5 years old - he is 13 now and never had it again. Just that one time and I am so glad about that! I can totally understand how you felt, it is so scary! ❤

@@AleahMartins No, they didn't find anything, he was completely fine. A couple months before that he was sick, so they thought that "maybe" it had something to do with that, but we never knew for sure. It just never came back, we also did some other checkups after that, but there was really nothing to find. He also saw it as an adventure after, he still remembers the ambulance but not the seizure itself (thank god!). But I do remember, even after 8 years now. I think I'll never forget how that looked like. Terrifying, absolutely. It also followed me for a couple weeks, because I was scared that it'll happen again 🫣 You might feel the same way right now! But I hope it doesen't and it was just a once in a lifetime thing! 🫶🏻
Yes!!! This sounds so similar to our experience. I have been such a helicopter parent, he’s even sleeping in my bed with me 😞 I know normal will come with time. But it still feels very scary right now. I’m so happy your son only ever had the one ♥️
@@AleahMartins There is nothing wrong with him sleeping in your bed, it is still too fresh. He is probably also enjoying that! 😁 Give it time, like I said, I also needed a couple weeks, I am sure he'll be fine! 😊
