    Thanks for the video, it was helpful. You ain't lying about the passenger side being a pain. What I did was run the drivers side first, then tap into that with an extra piece of wire and run it to the other side

    Very nice results and needed. It does however, look like they could have followed the Jeep contours a bit better at the top line of the light... Maybe I'm just picky...

    Thanks for showing your install, guys! We love seeing customer installs, and surely this video will interest many of your viewers. We have passed your comments regarding the instructions onto our resources team. BTW there is a PDF guide available on the product page that can be followed instead of the video guide. (We post them online so they aren't accidentally lost in shipping or installation.) Appreciate the feature!

    Looks good, I just saw a Gladiator with factory turn signals built into the side mirror, your video is good for us who have a Jeep without that option! Thanks

    “This fool”. Lol, good one Randal, they look very nice, we had to get a tool to install the rivets back in the wheel well of the Durango police vehicles we build after removing the the wheel well panels, feel better using those to make sure the panel doesn’t slip off the push pins.

    Rob, I can this mod beneficial these days, our semi tractors have this feature for a reason, because they are long but really anything needs those, i’m kind of digging those, actually makes sense !! But you have to rely on people to see them, they would be great on multiple lane freeway driving for sure 👍!!

    Just thought of something we didn’t say in the video. They make a metal tool for the removal of the push in style fasteners. It would be a better choice for this project. My poly one was able to do it but Rob’s not so much. The fender fasteners are tougher to remove than the grill fasteners. Just a suggestion

    Nice install write up, I get what he's talking about being more visible, Personally that style just isn't for me, like a vent over a vent but one day i may add something a little more low profile. maybe a small army black out light being modified, got until spring to think about it ha

    • @randallupton3622
      @randallupton3622 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Could also mount one or two of the little LEDs we installed in the grill. They would fit and should at least give you side blinkers. I’ve seen a small blinker light mounted on the curved pice above the panel with the vent under the windshield. That piece comes off wit 4 bolts it would be easy to drill and mount a blinker there. Then attach the wires like we did. Would have the added benefit of being less expensive than the Oracle setup. I think I’m happy with the Oracle kit the courtesy lights are a nice touch. If you watched the side step install, with its design flaws, you know I’m not an off-roader so the “urbanization” of the gladiator continues. Have fun as you work on yours.

  • @Optimum-Price
    @Optimum-Price 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You dont have to drill a hole, just go through the cowl and windshield. Just lower windshield about 15 degress and slip the wire through and down the side to the pass footwell. If you need instructions, search voswitch jl300 install. Thats how they ran the wire.

      @@Seramez25 yes I had some luck with really jamming a clothes wire hard through that lower left corner of the rubber grommet from the inside of the cab out. The wire popped out high up into the engine and we ended up taking the connector off the white wire, taping it on the clothes hanger and pulling it back into the cab. Reattaching the connector once inside.

      I was excited about the product, but I tend to agree with his statement. Might just be an optical illusion but both side seems a little off to me. Like the product is a bit too big for the groove.
      Also, does the courtesy light come on when I unlock the doors from afar with a remote or only if the door is already open ?
      And of course, thank you for taking the time to make a video.

    • @shumla7ranch

      @@fredzerflamand6425 I had these installed on my Jeep Wrangler JL last month. You are right - the ones in this video are both off. When I picked up my vehicle after the install I noticed the same thing had happened on the driver's side of my Jeep, so I had the shop remove it and re-align it. Trick is to line up the top of the lighting assembly with the trim indent line...it should be the alignment point used, rather than trying to align the lighting assembly around the vent trim.
