On the meeting you brought up; It's a power play from Xemnas, showing that he already knew of their pasts before recruiting them into the original Organization when it comes to the story. He's basically stating why he brought them in and that not only did he know their past, but he's fully aware of what their future is going to bring as well. In his own roundabout way he's admitting to them the point of bringing them back was to get them to reclaim their pasts that they have lost, though why is still yet to be seen. For the audience, it's to confirm who of the original Organization were absolutely Keyblade wielders, and thus telling the audience who specifically to look out for in future spinoff titles since they will be covering parts of the Kingdom Hearts story where Sora is not the main character. Demyx and Luxord both might cameo in Missing Link, they might not, as it's not out yet so we will have to wait and see. It still functions as a giant teaser at the very least.
It is also implied that The Master of Masters, and, perhaps Darkness, Manipulated Xemnas to created them as " Pieces" and then , lose. Now they are 'Available".
Marluxia/Lauriam most likely doesn’t remember his past due to traveling through time. Bodies dissolve in the process using the pods, so they essentially travel as just a heart. Then to be recreated once at the destination, a medium is needed as well as someone with memories of the person for a successful recreation. It could be that a medium existed, but someone with sufficient memories of him were not available at the destination. Which is also why Ventus has not memories, as well as whomever subject x is. Larxine on the other hand is a mystery. She holds her cards too close.
I know we don't have all the details yet but when brain travelled and woke up in Scala he appeared to have his memories intact. So while I think time travel is related to the reason people lost their memories, I also think there's more to it than that. The way Lauriam and Brain both freaked out the second before Laur/El/Ven's pods disappeared tells me something went a little screwy at the last second thanks to the worlds falling apart, which might be why they were all scattered to different places (and possibly different times)
Personal headcanon: Just like the saying "still waters run deep," Demyx is much more than he ever lets on despite seemingly just wanting to relax. His boss fight proves it. I believe the reason the player is timed to defeat the water constructs is because he can just keep making more and more until his opponent is overwhelmed. And if you do clear them out, he focuses on wide area, hard-hitting attacks instead of long combos.
I think most people underestimate (or forgot?) Demyx's "Silence, traitor" moment. I don't think that everything is an act. I think he is a silly guy. But he also has a dangerous side that only seems to come out when he's pressured to get serious. The 358/2 Days Ultimania says that he used "devilish cunning" to trick Roxas into doing his missions for him. When you think about it, they weren't actually close. He was just pretending to be Roxas's buddy throughout Days and KH2 to get what he wanted. In his story from the Character Files book, Demyx says that he joined the Organization because he wanted friends, but it doesn't seem like he made a single one. (I think he acted like he wanted to be close to Xigbar, but... It's debatable whether Xigbar cared.) Despite his silly exterior, the guy is kind of rotten at his core. He had the opportunity to make friends, but he chose to use them instead. It's like he doesn't know how to be nice without expecting something in return. We even see him act that way in KH3 where he refused to help Vexen until Vexen convinced him that their plan was in his interest. After that, Demyx told Riku that he's on their side, but there's saying you're a good guy and then there's BEING a good guy. The Character Files also dropped the bombshell that Demyx seems to personally know the MoM. That could mean a lot of things. But the 2 biggest possibilities are: 1. He is the MoM, but he's dissociating for some reason. (Amnesia?) or 2. He's a separate person who's connected to the MoM in some way. (Something like a vessel with a very compatible personality, perhaps?) I'm just happy that at least some sort of connection has been more or less confirmed. lol Anyway, good video! ✨

I think the meeting its just nomura teasing things that he doesn't know yet what he is gonna do Actually, he does this a lot, there is a print form a interview in which he says we will know more about marluxia's past in kh3, and some months after kh3 release he was asked again about marluxia's past and claimed it would be explained in kh x(something that never actually happened) For context, when kh3 released they were at the middle of the plot of kh unchained x, so this scene was supposed to tease a participation of luxord and demyx in khx, since marluxia and larxene were already shown and xemnas confirms that 9-12 are somehow connected to the first keyblade wielders, but it was somehow scrapped or pastponed for kh missed link
I'm open to the Demyx/MoM theory but I'm not fully on board with it personally. My main reason is the Luxu reveal feels like such an impossibly hard act to follow that Any kind of MoM reveal would feel like such a letdown in comparison no matter who it is. If he IS MoM I'd be a lot more interested if he genuinely doesn't remember at all, and continues to be the Demyx we know whether he gets his memories back or not. I'm more interested in theories involving characters remembering their past lives and/or connections to ancient people and simply trying to reconcile their current selves with their past selves. I'd like that more than if it turned out Demyx was secretly fooling everyone the whole time and holds all the cards and is the smartest character who knows everything etc. AGAIN, after we already went through that with Luxu. Like i said, hard act to follow. That being said I DO like this one slightly alternate theory I heard, where Demyx is not literally MoM but rather a replica he made of himself. The theory goes that MoM put one eye into the goatblade and put the other in his replica so he'd have a vessel to eventually occupy in the future. Demyx's true name is Edym, pronounced similar to "Adam", the first human, because he was the first artificially created human. the first replica (or even nobody). This also means we have "Adam and Eve" in the form of Edym and Ava, on top of all the Seven Deadly Sins stuff going on lol. (Maybe Ava committed the original sin by gaining "forbidden knowledge" of MoM's plans, and was punished for it by not being able to show up in the future with the other foretellers? this wasn't written in the Edym theory it just came into my head right this second lol)

Demyx has a problem with loudmouths, which Lexaeus and Zexion are not. I low-key love how Demyx and Zexion are friends now.
