My name is Shoaib as well & I was a fast bowler as well, with same veracity. Rather, using hot terms, I would say, all deliveries are to get batsman out. The batsman should definitely be scared of you, to ultimately make mistakes to get him out.
I used deceptive fielding to keep batsman under pressure & guessing the ball for set fielding, like Silly Mid-on & Silly Mid-off, short extra cover, short mid-on.
Best bouncers were bowled by Joel Garner and Malcolm Marshall - Both could get steep bounce while pitching the ball up to the batsmen. Garner got the steep bounce with his great height but how Malcolm Marshall managed it is a mystery till this day! Malcolm Marshall was indeed the greatest pace bowler of all time!

Akhtar carried forward the legacy of bowlers such as curtley ammbrose, Patrick Patterson etc. And as now he is for no team and speaks only for cricket (SPEAKS BRILLIANTLY!!) ...he deserves only respect..

@arsh lakhani Shoaib was clearly not having the type of body in his playing days from which batsman would get terrified(and only newbie or tailenders can get terrified by the body of the bowler xD).But now he is having that type of body which will make some impact on the opposition.Second thing is muscle and chest puffing is least required in games which requires running (cricket is one of them). So being fit is most important and then by side if you are doing bodybuilding then it's ok.
