Much appreciated Kenny. I like your Sydney harbour grading too 💪 I was contemplating to go magic lantern route using 5D3 before I bought the s1. Later on, the used eos M was so tempting due to the cheap price. But eventually there are few things have me rethink. First it's the huge raw file size of mlv and it needs conversion to edit. For the record, I once owned a 5d2 and shot on ML before; and raw file is easier to grade imho. Second being it's hard to view what's actually on the screen when recording. And third, I prefer hand held shooting style, the IS in S1 is working well for my usage. Nonetheless, not to belittle ML, just sharing my thoughts here. ML is fun especially now it can do anamorphic 5k. Hope your enjoy the ride.
@@10cFILM Thanks for your reply. The EOSM/ML can sometimes behaves erratically 😃😃but it's stability has improved tremenously with the recent releases. As a non-serious amatuer, I could get quite decent footages out of this cheap camera now. 😄😄 What I am lacking is my colour grading ability. Try as I might, I can never able to achieve the "muted colour look" like your Malaysian's small towns videos, which I love. I will have to keep on experimenting. 😁
@@kennyginz1592 I truly agree ML is very fun to play with, as even canon own decent camera couldn't output raw video files. Kudos to the ML team. When I was considering ML route, I follow this channel th-cam.com/users/MaScVideo I think he has some simple workflow for color. And try talk to him, he is a nice fella. And he is very active in the Facebook ML group too. I think the ML raw has really nice color especially the 12 bit footage. And maybe bring down the saturation of red in hue vs sat curve a little would help you to achieve the "muted" look ?
