I actually liked that song he did for the flick. I could relate with the lot of the lyrics as I was going through my punk stage around the time I saw the movie. It's even more meaningful to hear about Iggy being to that rock bottom point of his life when he was approached and having the opportunity to get a gig that would be the focal point of his rise from the ashes. I recall a while back when he had made appearance on MTV video awards, he was buffed out and a washboard stomach and healthy looking. And this interview he is looking exceptionally well and he has peace of mind and soul.
I think Iggy was also briefly in Cox's "Sid and Nancy"; he gets more screentime in Jim Jarmusch's "Dead Man" as a bounty hunter in Old West drag...Not an 'actor', really, but always fun to see on screen.
He's not a bad actor. He was awesome as the Vorta on the DS9 episode the Magnificent Ferengi. I remember watching it and not being able to put my finger on who that weird guy was and then HOLY SHIT IT'S IGGY!
The real deal is a hard thing to be because it's unavoidable and incompatible with a world of snappy, smooth bits who fall for the Milgrams every time.
