i have 10 acres 0f mixed woods/fields. i could start chopping trees for firewood tomorrow and my family would still never run out of firewood as long as we live
This video did absolutely nothing to help visualize 10 acres. Just a bunch of random scenery videos and how many thousands of square feet and acre is, which doesn't help. Monumental waste of time.
I'm sorry, but this video wasn't *that* informative. I read pretty much all of what was said in the video in some articles. I want and need is an *actual* *visual* representation of what 10 acres actually is. I want and need photo/video evidence of what is 10 acres. I didn't really learn anything new. So that was a waste of 4 ish minutes of my life, plus the time to write this comment. *Clear visual outlined image of 10 acres would be great*
@@knightwolf2361 That's good to know. But I was/am looking for a visual representation of 10 acres. I can't "see" that in my head. I need a picture/video representation of it for me to be able to "see" it in my head.
Yeah I want a land tour of ten acres desperately. You should look for local lots around ten acres. I couldn't find any, but I have found a place 5.6 acres of rolling hills it was pretty helpful. If you are looking to buy a house, you'll know soon enough @@can_b_crazywerid
I have about 13 acres. It seems small when you are viewing from high altitude. But once you walk around it, you will eventually find how huge it is as it is tiring 😂.
My sister bought 2.5 acres and an old 1860 farmhouse with barn, root cellar, etc. It used to be a huge 300 acre property, but had been sold off over the years. I was amazed at how small it was,but it's very nostalgic.
@@kennethhanson560 LOL !! Of course 10 acres is not gonna seem like a lot to you , BECAUSE you own an amazing 186 acres of land ! Think about it ! ! And stay blessed .
if it were a rectangular area of 10 acres, this would be approximately 13 buses width by 21 buses length, imagine a margin of error of 1 bus more or less, depending on how many feet they have in your city
@@herrboeing Thank you. For me, I'd still have to see and walk it. I would like a farm, not for animals, but enough space for expansion beyond a house. Big enough for 18 wheelers to turn around. You have been the only one who responded, again, thank you.
get some graph paper and scale each square to 1 foot by 1 foot an acre is 16.5 feet by 2,640 multiple by 10. as long as the area of each acre is 43,560 sq ft the dimensions of 10 acres can be any shape
Me too. Best way to visualize it is by physically going to a 10 acre land and walking all over it from side to side. I also have this game Minecraft that helps me visualize it, each block is 1 meter or 3.3 feet but you can mentally set each block as however you want and see it on third person and stuff.
Why do you show a picture of farms in the Netherlands! They do not use acres as unit of land size, but hectares. 1 acre is the equivalent of 0, 40469 hectares. For modern farming 4 acres is a drop in a bucket, nearly nothing. For a permaculture operation it would be just fine.
If someone doesn't know the metric system meters, kilometers, etc mean NOTHING! The same is true if you don't understand the Imperial system foot, yard, mile etc have NO meaning! Less hate, more education! Everyone is so judgmental!
Check out backroadacres.com for Owner Financed Land
10 acres is huge when you consider that like 80% of single family homes are built on less than a quarter acre.
10 acres sounds a lot larger than it looks
Seven football fields, how isn't that large
When you see it you know. Some plots look bigger due to topography, features, foliage. 10 acres flat and bare looks tiny.
@@alexking358 I own 10 acres and trust me it’s big for a single family to up keep

4 football fields side by side is 5 acres of land so 8 football fields will be 10 acres, and it's American football field not a soccer field.

What are we doing. Someone send this man help. Hurry!!!
@@asdfghjkl82218 ?
Sorry this didn't help me visualize it
The word acre is derived from how much land one man and one mule can plough in one day.
they say a acre a day keeps the bills at bay
I'm from India. I have 40 acres of land in Punjab.
Hold on to it!!! And love it and stay!!!!
Can you turn the music volume down?
Its simple a acre is the size of the inside of a running track/football field
This video does not help at all.
Enjoyed this post, my brother and I own 10 acres and this gave me a great idea for use. Thank you 🎉
I admit I have trouble visualizing an acre, even after measuring. 10 is impossible. I'd have to walk and mark the boundaries.

Congrats. Anything more than 7 acres is big.
1Hectare=2.471 Acres
1A =0.405H
Therefore 10Acres =10×0.405= 4.05Hectares
Great info!! Thanks!!!
An acre is a square about 209 feet per side. Ten acres isn’t very much.

Increase background music little more I can still hear what you're saying
Not large enough when you can see your neighbors backyard and have to put up with the local yokels 24/7

I'm somewhat visual telling me numbers, when it comes to land, is not helpful. I need to see, at ground level.

10 acres is not actually too big
But its still good enough.

Those dont look like football fields.
That's because the rest of the world calls soccer "football." Americans are the only ones who call soccer "soccer"

10 football fields
Is that a soccer field or a American football field ?
You guys should get into the metric system! It's a lot easier and practical than acres, feet, inches, yard, etc....
You guys should keep protesting your president and his groomer wife
