Great! I really like the cases discussed and immediately checked my FW against... find what to change for improvements of course. :-)

I have a question, we have several pppoe servers, with CCR1009 we only use SFP+ port with 2 separate vlans 1 for WAN link internet 1 for PPPOE-Server on the SFP+ interface.. we have 1 static ip not public on the wan interface to access the routers remotely, but we do not have either setup masquerade nor src-nat on wan port.. we only have average of 400 pppoe clients.. with speeds from 100mbps to 500mbps and with 400 ppoe clientes our CCR1009 maxes out on avrege 60 to 70% load.. we have around 5 ip filter rules with drop connection on most known virus ports.. and on the NAT side we have only CGNAT running on a Public IP address /28 from our ASN... and i have a rule setp on first place to allow the ASN IP.IP.IP.IP/28 block.. which then splits out on the 400 cgnat internal ips.. is there any way of optimizing the connection? if i enable fasttrack.. the cpu processing drops down to 12% .. but still struggle to get speeds over 500mbps via the pppoe-server.. and we have CRS317 with ports and vlans tagged setup to distribute traffic from correct vlans.. our OLTs also have 10G uplink ports.. with separate vlans.. but if i plug a cable directly on any other Ether port on the ccr1009 i can do speedtest on our ookla server and reach 940mbps down and upload without any problem.. but when i go into pppoe-server its hard to go over 400 ro 450mbps connected on ONU via cat6 cable linked on 1gbps port PC computer.. but on the Upload i can reach 600 to nearly 700mbps speeds easily. one other thing i did test was to disable RSTP and traffic flow on the CRS317 switch.. which is running in SwitchOS mode.. not RouterOs mode.. and speeds were up 10% to nearly 500mbps on the download speedtest.. but after a couple of minutes connections become unstable. Any ideas? because when disable fasttrack.. cpu usage goes up alot on some about 1 or 2 corres.. nearly on 90%... and average of those 90% cpu usage on some specific cores.. i get around 50% or 60% on tools profiling.. saying its firewall.. and the other 20 to 30% usage on that specific core is other functions like queing, ppp,networking..

I am interested howto mark tcp packets efficiently to limit tcp in simple queue and use fast track at the same time?

I like the Layer-7 implementation about blocking FB and YT.
But how to block FB/YT packets to specific users when we have internal DNS,
and all DNS requests come from one DNS server?
