    A friend told me about “Swedish death cleaning”. It refers to what you mentioned…the thought of leaving everything for my children to sort through. That helps me get rid of stuff! …however, i still struggle with getting rid of the sentimental items. Thanks for your help!

    I struggle to de-clutter but have made a start - it's true that the less stuff I keep, the more calm I feel. My mother in law died earlier this year - she lived a simple life, but still her cottage took a lot of decluttering.
