Thanks for the kind words and encouragemnt! 🐕😁❤
Why are my tomatoes not turning red?
Do you get consent first from the female flower or is okay to just stick it in?
BTK. ??
Only have male blossom. No female flowers. What’s wrong?
On my cucumbers
Had my first ripe peach off my first peach tree to make it to fruiting age... Dear Lord, it was a gift from Heaven above! I had no idea what a peach could taste like. It was amazing!
You just summed up growing your own fruit and 😊vegetables perfectly!
Two Florida King peach trees here in Southwest GA, last year we got 7 peaches total. This year we have harvested at least 70 peaches. About 20 or 30 were medium, the rest are huge and sweet. We got the chill hours needed ❤

@@herelieskittythomas3726 Will they keep in say a basement "spare' fridge??
Or, honestly, as we Yankees in New England call it, “a beer fridge.” Even non-drinkers like me 😂😂
The taste of home grown, or neighbor, local farmer grown is just night and day compared to store bought.
So True!
The best tomato I ever had was from my own backyard.
It really isn't tho
Loved seeing you give your little boss a drink. My dog is such a water hound, if he saw you watering your garden with a hose, he'd be right there, climbing into the middle of the operation, so you couldn't even see where the end of the hose is. lol Thanks for the summer check list.
Tuck's face at 5:32 made my day.
Tuck❤❤❤❤
I started watching your channel because your Tuck looks almost identical to my late Roo (Ralphie)! I’ve learned so much and get the joy of seeing you with Tuck. Makes my heart full again! Thank you so much!❤
I don't even know you personally, but I am just SO PROUD of you! I have been watching you from the beginning and you have truly created something so amazing and have taught so many people how to grow healthy food in such a bountiful way, it's just wonderful. And this video was PACKED with excellent information! Thank you and God bless you!! ❤❤❤ for the Boss, too!
Thanks for your support Katie! I appreciate you! Tuck says hi 🐕❤️
❤❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 Much love to the Tuckster! We appreciate you James, and your dedication to sharing your hard-won knowledge! 💗
Tuck is not gay
I love eatching your videos. You are so energized and filled with enthusiasm. I have learned so much from you. This year is my first full garden, growing tomatoes, pumpkin, red onions, zucchini, vutternut squash, okra, eggplant, string beans, pole beans, bush beans, corn, cantaloupe, peppers, herbs and watermelon. I started with a lot but I have learned so much watching you and other videos. It is a lot of work keeping up with everything. However I have made a chart for each vegetable and I record all of my tasks for each. It is a lot of fun and my vegetables are doing well. The most difficult ones are the tomatoes but I have mastered them and rhey are producing and foing well. Another challenge are the cucumbers. They were beautiful until I began pruning. Now they look weak. I will continue to study them. Thank you for all that you do.
He's the best on YT..Tuck too❤❤❤
About the pruning.....I was told from another video never prune anything. Nature does not prune so we shall not also. How disappointing.. because I have pruned everything, and yes the plants look weaker now.
@@kijihigh6826When pruning it is only for a Larger(quantity) Harvest. You want FRUIT Not MORE FOLIAGE. Pruning is not necessary, yet for those of us who have been doing this for DECADES, Pruning is an Added Benefit if done correctly. Don't fret about pruning, FOCUS on Watering, Nutrients(yellowing leaves) and weed control. Keep moving forward ☺️
❤❤❤❤❤Tuck! Great seeing him, and all your handy tips.
James, could you make a video explaining the importance of placing your planters facing the right direction in relation to the movement of the sun? I think that would be a great topic to discuss.
Love your tomatoes too! Your harvest is going to be legendary.
Depends on what you’re trying to grow and how. I assume you want maximum sun exposure? That would probably be in lines north to south. I like experimenting with all directions because the volunteer veggies find the best spot
I awakened my dormant garden this spring, after a 20+ year break. i have had enormous harvests already this year, inspired by you and Tuck. I wore my new Food Forest shirt tonight while harvesting. Your attitude and advice are inspirational!
Valuable tips. Thank you so much for your time and dedication.
Let's Gooo!!!
Tuck @ "Before Pruning" ❤❤❤😊 I have squash growing envy. I'm determined and inspired by you!
A couple of years ago we field tested Surround, gauze wrap, and foil on dozens of squash plants. Gauze seemed to be the most consistent repellent against borers in our area (Maryland 7b (now 8a)). We still apply Surround to all cucurbits but wrapping the base and 8-12" of lower stem with gauze has eliminated borer issues completely.
I always learn something from James videos and viewing his garden while he is giving us tips makes me happy! 💛 Seed to Harvest is a beautiful miracle! 💚
Today, I saw the squash vine borer in my garden. It was thirsty and was getting a drink from the bird bath, probably right after it laid eggs. I liked the tip to put soil over the bottom of the plant. I’m starting my second round of squash, cucumbers, melons and brassicas this week. I’m in zone 6. Thank you. 😊 Your garden looks beautiful as always.
It ALWAYS Amazes me seeing him Eat his Raw Veggies ☺️. He better at it than A LOT of ADULTS I Know 😒. He LOOKS So Healthy & Happy😁
It looks sooo Good and satisfying 🤤
Just fantastic , I garden a lot and did actually learn some neat tips and techniques from this video . TY !
It's our first year doing our home garden, and watching you has made me determined to set us up for next year and the future of our food Forrest ❤. Thank you for sharing your experience and joy of this. You get me so hyped !
Growing food is simply…quietly….amazing. My problem is that I never knew when some of these things are ripe….like eggplants. Another great video, thanks!
Can Tuck please make a video showing our dogs how to sneak a snack and which ones are best? Seriously, I am learning so much from you James! Thank you!❤️🐶❤️
Have a safe & happy 4th! 💙 Shade cloth is up and yesterday we got .55” rain! 💙💙💙 Tuck wanted me to tell you he wants a carrot. 💙💙💙🐕😎💥🥰
James, thanks for giving great advice for us who live south.
I used to pick the suckers off the tomatoe plants , but I'm in TN . It's good to know that I don't need to do it.
Thanks again!!!
I love to see Tuck in the videos!!!❤❤❤❤
HOW do your neighbors not get in on these videos LOL You'd no doubt see my eyes over the fence, takin' hardcore notes..maybe a "hi mom" kinda wave and thumbs up! 🤣🤣 Hearts for Tuckie-boy!! ♥♥♥💚💚💚
I TRULY APPRECIATE THE INFO, HELPED US ALOT. ALSO IT FEELS GREAT TO HEAR YOU PRONOUNCE WOODER LIKE ME LOL!
😂
KEEP DOING THE GIVEAWAYS!!! PLEASE!!! I'd love to try this stuff out!
We’ve almost reached our annual avg for rain. I didn’t mulch much and went to granular fertilizer.
Fungus will soon be an issue. Already have rust on hollyhocks.
Would have loved to try clay this year but it rains every other day almost. We bury a vine and do surgery as I have tried everything else.
The pests must be getting drowned because there are way fewer except mosquitoes. And I just read the powdery mildew is worse in dry weather. I will never go without netting on brassicas and I don’t see any cabbage moths.
@@dustyflats3832 the mosquitoes are the worst I’ve ever seen it this year.
My pup likes the green beans too. I was inspired by Tuck to feed him from the garden. ❤ God bless!
Tuck got a pruning too😂
Thank you for the in depth pollinating tip. Seeing it done and the explanation of male and female flower identification is super helpful! And I just ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Tuck! He's so adorable 😍
Thank you! Happy gardening! You are an amazing inspiration!
Hi James, thanks so much for going over pruning tomatoes again. I'm a first year grower, and have been doing what people say, prune the bottoms. But I made the mistake of letting my seedlings grow together and they wouldn't come apart so I now have "jungle buckets" of 2-3 plants a bucket (lol). They are going massively wild and fruiting to boot. So I have been doing what you're showing, letting the sucker thrive and trim the traffic. Your demonstration helps confidence in knowing what I'm doing makes sense because I've got more than I bargained for. Thanks again!
Another tip: You don't have to follow the spacing directions of the seed packets to have success and harvests. Look into intensive garden planting here on TH-cam if you prefer a smaller or "crowded" garden like I do! It's life changing techniques for gardeners!
@@emelle7956 Cool, thank you. That's good to know cuz I constantly challenge it. LOL I'm always have to remind myself not to over-plant, especially in my new tower garden. I'll check out intensive garden planting, thanks again!
Thanks! Now I know what my garden tasks need to be in the morning. Hi Tuck! ❤
Congrats to the winner! Thank you for the chance JP and Tuck! That'd be awesome if you do another giveaway. 💕
I absolutely LOVE your videos! I learn so much!!!
Rabbit is eating all my beans. I caught him coming out with one in his mouth looking like Snyder Whiplash with a big mustache lol
Tucker, you are such a garden helper! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤for Tuck. Thank you James for another informative video. Tuck looked busy and awesome as usual.
You've made it into the big leagues!!! I saw you mentioned on Canadian Prepper!
Let's Gooo!!! 😁🐕❤
yaaay… such an honour, being mentioned on the channel of a paranoid doomsday prepper who believes in nutcase conspiracy theories and profits off of fear-mongering… 🙄
So many tips and reminders. A few leaves on our tomatoes have damage. Been looking up online pics of damaged from tomato hornworms. Hunting tomorrow. Also searching life cycle of tomato hornworm. Fascinating. ❤Tuck has the cutest expressions on his face. ❤. Thanks for sharing James.
I love your videos. Your garden is beautiful.
Another thing we do in the south is use shade cloth on our tomatoes and let some large suckers grow, then transplant those suckers for a fall harvest
I enjoy your videos. I‘ve learned so much . Thank you
You inspire so many to grow, share and thrive!
Me an tuck, my favorite are the dragon beans too!!
Love little Tuck!!
Another giveaway please. I’ll keep trying. Thanks for giving out your amazing product! We love you guys and appreciate your hard work
Been following your advice and my garden is EPIC this year. I'm in zone 9a and the shade cloth has been a game changer. Game. Changer. Who knew. . . . ALL the plants are thriving because of the cloth.
Glad to hear your garden is doing great this year! Keep it up 💪
Thank you sm for this video, I had a great plan for this year but have been feeling stagnant in the garden. Now I have a brand new list of to-dos so excited for the sun to come up lol😅
9:00 Awesome win for Tuck! Good job James.
SO much great info, thank you!
Excellent presentation thank you so much for sharing
you are right it is very rewarding thx and for Tuck ❤
Didn't have the money to do a garden this year. Thankfully I didn't plant the bed, with the heat and sparce rain It would have needed much watering.
SO HAPPY Tuck is doing so well after his scare a while ago !! Lost my 15yo gal in April, heartbreaking.
Thanks for the tips, JP. You’re an inspiration. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that my friend!
Thank you so much! Love all your very informative videos loving Tuck too!!!!
Pulled a yellow zucchini way earlier than I ever have and I’m not mad at it! Appreciate your videos as always, James and Tuck!
Great tips as always, thanks for constantly inspiring us to keep adding to our own Food Forest here in CA! ❤❤❤❤❤ For King Tuck!!
Thank you for the tips Tucker and James! 😍🙌💚
Love the fertilizer giveaways!!! Hearts for tuck ❤❤❤❤❤
It's 110º and windy here. Humidity is 16%. Nothing is staying wet for very long!
Hi James. What do you do with all your produce? Even Tuck can only eat so many cucumbers 😊
Me and Tuck eat what we can and give the rest away
. No canning, fermenting, or freeze drying? Do you actually make jelly thou? Because you've mentioned doing it with your berries before. Of was that just an example?
The q-tip on the male to female is best for sure. Then take the male flowers and dip in some egg and flour then fry and eat haha. Dont rip the pedals off yo. Great advice all around, your videos are always solid.
Thank you for the very informative video and comments
Great advice on vine boarers! I get them every year
Hi James great video that's some fertilizer thanks for sharing love to tuck❤❤❤
Let us know when you have a new sale. Want to expand the garden for next year. Thanks. Love you and Tuck.
Nice work ❤❤🎉🎉
Following lots of your advice this year. My cherry tomatoes are beefsteak wanna-be's @ 7 ft tall, and a little larger than golf balls.... I usually let the suckers go. Production is A+
Let’s Gooo!!!
Thank you for sharing
Love your channel and Tuck. I've used a lot of your suggestions to maximize my yield. My garden has never looked so good. I'd love to win your fertilizer or any other products your giving away. Take care, Lori
Just planted dragon tongue yesterday!
I just got my first female cucumber flower today. Zone 6b. I seeded it in April took forever lol
