This kit can be utilized to change the look of the factory plastic bumper to a shorter stubby bumper. You can change the front end look of your rig without buying an expensive aftermarket stubby bumper in addition to freeing up space for maximum wheel articulation. The trick is to cut both ends of the front bumper and install the bumper caps to give your Jeep a more rugged and upgraded look. This kit is perfect for the 2007 to 2018 JK & JL equipped with the factory front bumpers.
Durable Construction. The Rough Country Bumper Caps are constructed from high-quality steel plates. The bumper caps are finished with a tough layer of black powder coat for rugged looks and excellent rust protection. Rough Country is offering these bumper caps with a limited lifetime replacement warranty for added peace of mind.
Simple to Install. You will need to cut off both ends of the stock front bumper by 11.5 inches on each side using a reciprocal saw. After this, the Rough Country Bumper Caps are designed to install easily on the remaining section of the front bumper using the supplied screws. You can finish the job in approximately 1 hour or less using basic hand tools. This kit is applicable to the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JL equipped with the OEM front bumper.

You should spray paint the cut edges.
Links all point to plastic. Where have the metal ones gone? What is the part number?
I don't mean to critique, but you do realize at the beginning of the video, you said, "2 out of 3 wrenches - only 2 bc you are doing some cutting, but just through the plastic part of your factory bumper" & then cut the metal part of the bumper?
I only comment bc I just purchased these and thought that was the case and found your video when seeking clarity. Great video btw, best of any out there that I watched as the Rough Country video doesn't even show it bc directions call for removal, which is nonsense, yet more safe I suppose.
Is it possible to go further out then 3 1/2 inches ? For example, 5 inches out from the line ?
Do the push pins to through the metal too? Or are they just connected to the plastic part?

Nope, the ones they sell are plastic, and look closer to the stock look. These look nicer, and are steel.
I just order a second set, they sent me plastic event ho they shoow the steel ones in the Ad, back they go
