Only SM has the balls to have idols from each generation collaborate with each other! Nobody can come at these vocals, visuals, or dance! Also this is an interchangeable lineup with each new concept, SM confirmed it!
1st Gen: BoA (debuted in 2000; 22 years)

I'm a die hard BlackPink fan, but my God. I have nothing but utter respect for these girls. We're talking four generations of superstars. Taeyeon from SNSD and Wendy of Red Velvet have the most beautiful voices in all of Kpop

Die hard SNSD fan here since 2007 and sm stan, but I’m also a baby blink on the side, (actually the one and only group I stan outside sm is Blackpink). I love the girls and I acknowledge BP’s outstanding global talent ✨

This is actually a supergroup, which means all the girls are already superstars. The one who said "Bridge" is the actual queen of K-pop, She is the OG female idol ( soloist) 2 members of SNSD aka Girls Generations, one of the OG girl group and legends,2 members from Red velvet, Korea's one of the most well-loved girl group at that time.2 members from Aespa , relatively new but got insane buzz .They all are from same company ( EXO as well)That's why you can feel familiar taste (kind of epic) SM also create a supergroup male ver 2 years ago with EXO,SHINEE AND NCT.
This is the first sm GOT (the beat) super girl group. More GOT units will come after this with different members from different girl groups under Sm :) this one is composed of Main vocalists and Main dancers.

They are from SM. SM artists are well known for their vocals. What interesting about this group is, it consists of 4 generations of SM female artists.
BoA - she is a soloist and a very prominent figure when we talk about SM artist. She debuted in 2000 at the age of 13. She basically saved her company from bankruptcy.
Taeyeon and Hyoyeon- They are from the second generation. They are members of Girls Generation or SNSD. For girl groups they are very important. Debuted in 2007 back when Kpop was dominated with boy groups they broke records and they were the blueprint for girls groups. Taeyeon is technically the best female idol singers in her generation. As for Hyo she is a dancer and a DJ. When she was a trainee she traineed with the male trainees.
Wendy and Seulgi- They are from the 3rd Generation. They are members of Red Velvet. Wendy is technically the best female singer among 3rd generation female idols. Seulgi is a main dancer and lead vocalist. Basically she is an ace. She is featured in BamBam GOT7 song entitled "who are you" Please check it out.
Winter and Karina- They are from 4th generation idols group named Aespa. They are still rookie yet they have won quite a few awards.
None of these groups are my ults but i do check on their latest releases since i have a soft spot for SM artists.

This is basically SM Entertainments girl group version of SuperM. Girls On Top are members of all of the female girl group plus their very first soloist BoA. So the group is Wendy and Selgui from Red Velvet, Taeyone and Hyo from Girls Generation, Karina and Winter from Asepa. And the BoA aka the queen of Kpop. They only have one song out unfortunately but hopefully they get more.
GOT (which stands for Girls On Top) the beat "Step Back" was a special collaboration stage from SM's SMTown New Year's Eve SMCU Express concert and it includes BoA (the one with the amazing vocal breakdown in the middle of the song) who is a solo artist and one of SM's longest held artists who is known for her vocals and dancing, Taeyeon (gray hair) who is the leader and main vocalist of Girls' Generation/SNSD -- one of the most popular female vocalists in the industry -- and Hyoyeon (pink hair -- pink is SNSD's official color) who is the main rapper and main dancer of Girls' Generation/SNSD, Wendy who is the main vocalist and Seulgi who is the main dancer of Red Velvet and Karina who is the leader and main dancer and Winter who is a lead vocalist from aespa.

BoA is the ultimate Idol of Idols. Her talents are unmatched. This is why SM selected her to become a trainee when she was 11 or 12 and why she debuted when she was only 13 years old, because she is so amazing. BoA is one of the originals in the Kpop industry and one of the first to do almost everything, and she did it all as a solo artist without the help or support of a group. Can you believe that BoA debuted in 2000? -- which means she has been in the industry for more than 21 years now and she is only 34 years old. :D She was one of the youngest artists in the industry when she debuted and she is now one of SM's longest held artists. She started under SM and is still represented by SM. So she has been in the industry for more than two decades, and, yet, she is still younger than a lot of artists who have come after her. That's how much of a legend she is. :D
BoA is one of the best female dancers in the industry and everyone looks up to her. She is known for her unique and difficult choreography and the fact that she is not afraid to try something new. She is the queen of dance for a reason.
Fun fact No. 2: Another one of BoA's iconic songs is called "Only One." To see why this is such an iconic song, not only should you see the MV, but everyone should see BoA perform "Only One" live. In live concert performance, during the ionic dance break section, there is always a special appearance by one of her male labelmates -- Taemin from SHINee, Eunhyuk from Super Junior, U-Know from TVXQ, Sehun from EXO and Shotaro from NCT (Shotaro was the one to perform with her during this SMTown SMCU Express concert), who are all known as some of the company's best dancers, have all performed with her. It is no surprise that you are impressed by BoA's vocals and dancing because, as an SM artist, that is just something the company is known for. Her amazing vocals are one of the reasons why SM is now known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry.
BoA is an OG of OGs. There is almost nothing she can't do. Everyone regards her as more than just an Idol, she is so well respected that she is a mentor to most Idols in the industry. And she is even a member of SM's board of directors and she is now in charge of the health and mental wellbeing of SM's artists.
She was the one who paved the way for Kpop artist in the Japanese market and she is the reason why Kpop groups and artists now produce songs in Japanese. She was one of the very first Korean Idols to focus on learning Japanese with the goal of bringing the Kpop industry to Japan. She is now one of the top selling artist in Japan.
BoA was even one of the first Kpop stars to release an English album in America. Her English song "Eat You Up" was pretty popular and even made it on the American music charts. She was one of the first Kpop artists to chart in the U.S. -- the song actually was played on some mainstream U.S. radio stations. If you haven't already, I recommend checking out her MV for "Eat You Up" it's pretty epic and her dancing is so iconic.
She even starred in the Hollywood dance movie "Make Your Move" in 2014 and it was all in English. Over the years she has become pretty good at English and she is mostly fluent now.
Fun fact No. 3: If you remember, in Taemin's song "Idea" the female voice you hear saying, "Killing me softly" is BoA. And she was the one that produced aespa's "Dreams Come True."

LOL You should watch an episodes of the variety show "Happy Together" (Ep. 569 with English Subs) which featured all of SM artists such as BoA, Key from SHINee, Baekhyun and Sehun from EXO, Jaehyun and Taeyong from NCT, Comedian Lee Soo Geun and MC Jeon Hyun Moo -- who are part of SM's entertainment branch of the company. The episode was filmed at SM Entertainment and it talks about the history of SM and all of SM's top artists, etc. It was a great episode.

That reaction you have to the beat is precisely why it is done that way. The producer intends for people who don't love it right away(not me because I've been playing it on repeat since it came out) pick their brains trying to figure put what it is or think they don't like it and go back to listen and figure it out and keep going back and eventually fall in love with it. Some won't, but it'll be enough to find new fans to make this experiment a success. These people know what they're doing. And for anyone who took band or chorus or anything similar for more than a year, they will either love or hate this and will know why, lmao. I knew right off I'd like it and I took both band and chorus and did marching band and winter guard in hs and two years or wintwrguard in college. Needless to say, I'm a compete geek when it comes to music and I don't jave a certain genre I stick to. If you wanna hear more of this kinda beats, you should listen to NCT. The producer who produced this also produces lots of NCT and some EXO beats. They're weird but addicting. Recommend NCT 127 Kick It and Sticker for some weird ass instrumentals.

These group is from the first generation of kpop to the most current one stoping on aespa which is the most recent SM entrainment group, they put all these amazing women in one group and blows up
GOT is a collaborative project initiated by SM, gathering their female artists from 1st to 4th Generations of KPOP into one group. BoA right there is THE “Queen of KPop,” based on my memory, shes the 1st Introduction into KPop. And then we have Taeyeon and Hyoyeo for SNSD (Girls Generations), Seulgi and Wendy from Red Velvet, and Karina and Winter from Aespa.
SM has always known in their ability of bringing their artists from different generations into one community of “SM Family.” Here in GOT, Even BoA and Karina have more than 10yrs of age differences 💕💕💕
Anyway, in terms of music and arrangements. SM is also known in being experimental with music and vocal arrangements, and sounds and chord progressions that arent “mainstream” with their artists. They dont play safe, try to push boundaries, and setting the trend. Thats why i love them, i love SM Family 💕💕💕

I just left a comment in your NCT video and saw your reaction (gentleman on the left, sorry I’m new to your channel and don’t know your name) to this song, which actually describes what I stated there. SM’s signature songs/productions are not the standard verse-chorus that you probably already heard in other songs, most especially with NCT group which trademark is producing experimental songs. The key when listening to them: is to expect to be confused, to dislike, to be put off by certain weird beat/sound…and listen to it multiple times and let it grow on you.
Just fyi in case you’re not already aware: this collab project which is SM’s only initiative follows their male counterpart of SUPERM, which is made up of: 1 member from SHINee (who is known as “the idol of idols”), 2 members from EXO, and 4 members from NCT. They partnered with Marvel/MCU and just like they have done in their own individual groups, SUPERM produces only fire tracks (which some have a very cinematic, avengers vibe)

GOT is the girl band version of SuperM. For some reason SM likes taking standouts from established groups or established soloists and forming groups. You have two members from SNSD, Red Velvet, aespa and the Queen of SM Boa who celebrated her 25 anniversary recently. I’m sure the other commenters have filled you in on who is who. The group debuted on Jan 1st during the SM New Year’s Day concert so no other music … yet.
This is a group created by SM Entertainment. The thing is all the ladies here are under SM entertainment as well except they’re all from different groups. BoA aka the QUEEN of kpop, 2 girls generation members (Pink and Silver hair) 2 Red Velvet members (Pigtails and short hair the one with higher range) and 2 Aespa members which is their most recent girl group they have debuted (Long black hair rapper, and short black hair somewhat rapping but more vocals) You mentioned the song sounding messy which is so true! SM Entertainment gets more creative and open with their songs and if you were to listen to songs from SM groups you would perfectly hear that.

The lyrics to this song is very problematic especially from a woman standpoint but the beat and vocals are everything so it cancels out
No they aren't. What's wrong with a woman standing up to and confronting a possible/potential homewrecker? As opposed to meekly letting her partner do whatever he wants with whoever he wants, without objection? That would be far more toxic. Anything worth keeping is worth fighting for, isn't that an uplifting message? That's the decision of the woman in this song, respect THAT. Granted, one must find balance in all things, and decide when the level of effort isn't worth it; when effort doesn't equal results, then cut losses and get out. Because staying in that situation is just as toxic.
