He’s not wrong in saying their instrumental record, La Di Da Di, was totally overlooked. It’s a genius album that no one seemed to care about except us die hards.
What is interesting for people who like Battles and their latest album: Battles put out some short stems of each song for a remix competition on Meta Pop. The competition is already over, but the stems are still there for everyone to download and have fun with it: metapop.com/pages/promos/battles-juice-b-crypts?tab=all&sort=relevance&p=1
@@sammadden5540 [insert snotty comment about how you’re wrong and the band only went downhill because I disagree]. Fr tho if there’s one thing I always loved about battles, despite if they’re records are amazing or just good, they always stay on a consistency and quality I don’t think most bands could do with just half their members and they keep that pace up amazingly
Love all Battles. I think I agree that I'd rank La Di Da Di above Gloss Drop too though. The tracks with vocals took me longer to warm up to at the time because I was more into the Tyondai style. Now I just enjoy it all. haha
@@isaacrichmond7505 Great track! Think I heard an interview about Dave creating that tune and some guy at the jam space losing their shit that he had the loop going for so long! haha
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Ian Williams is very under represented in the gear interview world
Dang, I love Battles, would've never expected to hear them here. Dope!
Same! Exciting and unexpected

Great podcast, thanks
I like how you Radio Music. I dare say it's part of "your sound".
Wish they were stereo
Contrary to his theory on the human voice, I actually much preferred La Di Da Di to Gloss Drop.
Big same
