That is what women are by nature! So you have value period! The should not be why a man should marry. You are not the one going after the man. The man is coming to you. It’s their nature! You have value regardless of who you are individually. Men only see your vagina is value or you being a wife(slave) a valuable. Men are deficient in nature! They have no value! So the question should be what value does a man have for him to be in your presence?

This is so true. I try to tell men this all the time. You don’t have to be Controlling to have CONTROL. If the women is in her right mind no drama she will naturally submit because it’s in us to do it but only for the right man. Submissiveness means you fell safe to let down your guard. A woman no longer feels the need to be defensive. She trust her man.

I'm writing this comment before watching the video, but passed off these responses. The "I'll submit when I find a masculine man" part. A woman should be feminine from the start. A man can't say ill be a masculine man when I find a feminine woman. That shxt ain't something you can turn on and off. No one can turn it on and off. It's either in you or it aint, for both parties.

Exactly! You don't know you're healed until that healing is tested. If you're alone, you feel healed because you don't have to deal with the triggers. You won't know you're healed until that trigger doesn't trigger you anymore. You can only figure this out by being in a relationship.

“Why isn’t she married?” is a valid question because it’s less about validating her advice (which I believe is good) but it actually speaks to how scarce the dating scene is for black women. You can be a great woman and do all the things, and be willing and ready for marriage yet still not be chosen by these men. And I see THIS EVERYDAY!

    • @l.t.3857

Exactly! Not to mention all the spiritual warfare some women have to go through before they are even ready for marriage, fighting all kinds of generational curses in their bloodlines that they did not know about for years. This is not a one-size-fits-all thing. It’s very different for everyone.
By the way, I think this ongoing debate about femininity is so bogus. There is very little that some people can do to change the essence of who they are… femininity means different things to different people. For instance, some cultures would not consider this woman, April, to be feminine. There are also some men who prefer less feminine women. Be who you are, within reason, and you will attract the right people into your life, at the right time. This “faking it till you make it” approach to getting married will only get you so far. You may get married, but will you be able to maintain that fake persona to stay married?

Platonic male/female relationships go left ALL THE TIME. Men accept platonic relationships with women who they desire, in hopes of one day getting lucky. Laterras is highly attracted to April's feminine energy. I thought he made that abundantly clear. You see his excited reaction when she puts it on. He thinks she's out of his league, but he also has questions about her that give him pause. Plus, she already made clear that she's looking for men in a certain $ bracket. Another thing that gives him pause. He'd have a relationship with her but after peeling back the layers and discovering who she is, he would not marry her either.

If you really think about it God has prepared each of us for marriage. Before we enter into marriage, we have relationships with our parents, siblings, friends, etc. These relationships should be honored and respected. If you can’t sacrifice your time in these relationships and be obedient to your parents first, then marriage will be difficult. You can’t enter into a marriage with a selfish heart.

When a child experience trauma without the means to resolve it, they end up magnetizing similar experiences . For some children, they don’t talk about it but it remains active in their vibration. Some children manage to talk about it but if the talking about it does not help them to process, it becomes an identity. That too will magnetize similar experiences .
Normalizing conversations that give permission to truth will help children especially to separate experiences from who they are. ❤️.

My ability to nurture, empower, support the ones I love. My ability to stand out or fade in the background at will. My integrity and the fact that I do not weponize my feminity and I know my worth. I know how to stand in it without overpowering. Everyone will not be complimentary and that is ok.

Wow, April is the first woman that I've publicly heard respond to sexual abuse the same way I did. I became a controller of men because I wanted them to feel victimized and powerless like I had. I was this way up into my 20's. I had a complete disregard and respect of men. I was sexual assaulted by the neighbor's mentally retarded child at the age of 3. I was sexually assaulted again at 5 from my uncle. Then molested by my step-father from 7 to 10 yrs old. It took until my mid-20's to understand why I disregarded men.

I was waiting for April to answer the question about who she is. ☹️ Some ppl need examples of that type of answer.
But it was refreshing to hear her say that femininity isn’t what we’re being sold and it isn’t about getting a man. I love that.

I enjoy listening to April. She presents her strategies in a way that’s straightforward and simple. When I discovered her years ago, she taught me to unclench my jaw, lower my shoulders, relax and smile. As a business woman, I literally forgot how to do that. As a result, I attract so many men unintentionally, and have been invited on many dates. I’m in a beautiful space and feel my husband coming for me…
    It’s a beautiful thing.

She said "i chose him based on who i was"!👏🏽👏🏽 Love the personal responsibility!! Most women blame their horrible choices in men, on the man instead of looking themselves in the mirror. Women choose badly! That sums up 75% of the game, period! If women learned how and what to choose, and were humble enough to try it, more of them would win in relationships!

She's speaking from a place of healing and wisdom. For those who think this is manipulation, that is you projecting your unhealed parts. Femininity is innate. The problem is we have suppressed it and were conditioned to believe it's ugly and nasty. But balancing masculine and feminine energy is living in harmony. Even men have to learn to live in that harmony.

I enjoyed this DFW segment, great talking points and the exchange was mutually in tandem. However, personally as you stated femininity is innate, intrinsic, natural so therefore it is something I feel cannot be bought, or taught. While the ones that may enlist her services may need a gentle reminder, there are others that have and understand this fundamental principle. Your value simply put is you are….”Before you were formed in the womb, I knew you…before you were born I set you apart” value has already been assigned. Blessings

    This was a wonderful video.
I did want to add this in reference to trauma bonds.
Trauma bonding doesn't mean forming a bond with someone based on your shared trauma/experiences but thats what pop culture has turned the definition into.
Trauma bonding is a psychological response to abuse. It occurs when the abused person forms a connection or relationship with the person who abuses them.
