    If you run another vent tube to the air intake of the front of the unit so it can recycle the cold air it will cool more efficient and the compressor won’t have to run all the time.

      I know I just didn’t have time to rig up an intake hose we were headed out pretty quick and I had a lot to get ready. But hey thanks for the advice, one I get it finished I’ll probably make an update video.

    So I did this for a few years then when the ac quit I bought one of the stand up indoor models that vents the hot air out of the tube. Works like a champ

    I have seen this done a few ways. It is nice staying cool in the hot nights. I have been known to have a airconditoner blowing into a ground tent when at a electric site. Nice setup. I haven't had much time to get back on my trailer setup. Hoping to get back on it this week. Have a great 4th. 👍

      Great video! Maybe you can extend the thermostat enough to run into the tent to keep it at the temp you like? Great idea brother. Heat is what keeps me away from summer camping.

      I built the rack the tent was sitting on, I’ve since removed the rack and sold that tent. I have a rack from go rhino that’s on my truck and a new hard shell tent from CVT

    What would you think the best way to seal AC ducts to tents so no bugs get in? Can I cut holes in the tent then tie fishing line around them? Or a bungee cord?

    • @Xploring_The_Outdoors
      @Xploring_The_Outdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm not sure I thought about buying 2 4” flanges and sandwich them together through the tent and cut the fabric out of the hole.

      @@Xploring_The_Outdoors I'm trying to figure out a substance I can calk around the sides to seal it in. I don't mind if the ducts are permanently attached to the tent either.

      @@Xploring_The_Outdoors thanks for the tip! I just kept hearing people that with the re-routing that A/C's were giving up on life due to over frosting due to the condensing of the ducting. SO another qestion if you have time...What is the highest temp that you have used this in and how well did it cool?

    • @Xploring_The_Outdoors
      @Xploring_The_Outdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@kbadboy83 I’m in Texas so when I was using it 90-100 day it’d get the tent to mid 80’s. The sun heating the fabric up so much it’s just an oven which during the day we were riding sxs on trails and hitting up waterfalls to cool off. At night I set the temp to 70 and it was 70 and cycling on and off. My son stole all the blankets lol it gets the humidity out of the tent running the 2 hoses to recirculate the air and that alone here made a huge difference in sleeping
