Dude you got me into bikes a long time ago. I remember the vids of the 250 ninja and going back and forth to subway. It really kickstarted my passion for motorcycles. Unfortunately I sold mine and haven’t got back on yet, but I will eventually ; )
So long ago man, thanks for reaching out again. Get back into it! I actually may get out of it in the next year and get into a different expensive hobby lol It's important to do only things you love. Thanks for watching my friend!
Rebelyell91 Thanks for the reply! Yeah it’s funny, through watching you I was convinced I needed a job at subway too lmao. Idk tho, part of me misses my bike so much (I had a 2012 Honda NC700x) -(most underrated bike ever made imo) that I bought brand new in 2012. My first one ever, in the beginning the power scared me and through time I mastered it. But there’s the other part of 1. There’s hella idiots on the rode as I’m sure you know, and 2, living in CT sucks due to changing seasons. And if you really wanna go for a good trip you need to travel out of state, and at the time, no one I knew had a bike. I WAS the bike guy of all my friends. And they all preach that they’d get one someday, but that never happens. If I did get a new bike tho, I’m eyeing a KTM 1290 super duke, or a Honda fury. The parallel twin on the 700x was by no means “fast”. And that’s *kinda what I’m looking for. Again thanks for the reply, it’s like talking to one of my childhood heroes. You and Zmagic97, ashfoot and a small handful of other motovloggers who started this type of entertainment on TH-cam, and to see how much it’s grown today. Stay safe out there!
Your wish has been fulfilled. 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 got upgraded with throttle-by-wire. They added cruise control, up/down quickshifter, TFT screen, revised the rear seat, revised cam shafts, revised fork damping, and a few other changes.
raise the forks in the triple clamp to drop the front end and raise the rear through preload and throw the factory tyres in the bin i went the road 5's they go well and you will go a long to sharpening up the handling and dispensing people on much faster bikes when the roads start twisting. it doesnt hurt touring to much either. i have done 3 hour stints with the mrs on the back and aslong as she has the top box to lean on and her airhawk shes good.
grindathon T can you please tell me did you just unwind the preload adjuster under the seat to raise the rear? If so how many clicks in did you do from the softest setting? I have a 2015 model I recently purchased. Switch tires right away to 190/55 instead of stock 190/50, which improved handling immensely. Now playing with the suspension settings.
I have the same Bike as you 2018. I had to send it back in to get every single gear replaced because of false neutrals on a regular basis. I still get them on occasion. Have you had any false neutrals.
Jeff, what section of PCH was this? Did you guys go past Big Sur? I wanna do the border to border ride this year! Great review man, love my S1000F too, but got the same twitchy throttle issue and would be nice to have a cruise control. Kinda sad we didn’t do a dual vlog while you had the Ninja 1000 and before you left. Looking forward to see some new vids of you riding in VA though.
This was between Santa Barbara and Monterey so past Big Sur. It was super lovely and def a bucket list item. And yes to the border to border ride!! That'll be amazing!! You should follow the process for an Iron Butt and get one of those. Yeah, it would have been pretty awesome to dual vlog before I left. Hopefully we will ride together soon though and vlog it :D My camera finally shipped so I'll be waiting for that to come in and test it all out. ;)
@@ProfessorSnape22 holy cow yeah its been a long time. Thanks for watching all this time and following up with me. It's been quite a journey. Are you riding? If so, what kinda bike. Have a good weekend man!

It's been a few years since I rode that road. About time I went back.
p.s. I fitted a kaoko throttle lock for when I have to do freeway miles.
How do you like the Kaoko?
@@rebelyell91 It's good on flat highways. Add in a few hills and you have to keep adjusting it so it's too much trouble.
Damn. Bro longtime no see I thought something happend to you last time I heard of you was you was still in school
this was a suprise... :)
Is that an ASU keychain?
Yep!

I have not had them too often to be a concern. Maybe a few times. Thanks for watching.
