The white Wii U Basic Set and the black Premium Set launched on the same day. The Premium model had 32GBs of internal storage, but also a Sensor Bar, GamePad stand and a copy of Nintendo Land.
Did Rick really make Arkansas to Iowa sound cross country? Where was Editor Riff roasting him for that? There are multiple states longer than that drive.
This is a fantastic video for so many reasons. As a collector myself who has gone to great lengths to get items, kudos to you guys! Kudos to the seller too. When you find those who share the passion, you fight to work with them. Great video.
When folks say N64 was their 1st console. I suddenly realize just how old I really am. NES in 1988 was my 1st console. I had an Atari before that. But I don't really count that as my 1st. Since Zelda and the NES, is what got me into video games. And that Gameboy case... I so need another one for my collection. It would go nicely with the Gameboy case I have for my 3ds.
Holy crap! My 1st console was Jan. of '88 myself...the NES with Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt and Defender II. Coleco was the first console I played though.
There were 2 models of the Wii U at launch. The basic set, which is the white console, only came with the console, game pad, and 8 GB of storage built in. This one launched at $300. The deluxe set, the black one, which is the most common of the two in various different bundles, has 32 GB of built in storage and a bunch of extra accessories, like a vertical stand, charging cradle and stand for the game pad, and some kind of game. At launch, it was just Nintendo Land, but there was the special edition Wind Waker bundle, NSMBU bundle, basically every first party release on the system got a bundle for the console for the deluxe set. Every deluxe set also had a promotion where you'd get something like 5% back for the eShop on the Wii U, which is something Nintendo does with My Nintendo gold points, but this was a precursor to that. The deluxe set was initially priced at $350, but after around a year, Nintendo discontinued the basic set altogether and dropped the price of all deluxe sets to $300.
The Game Shark device that you were looking at @ 12:00 I do believe is for the Dreamcast. You plug that into the memory card slot in the controller and you also need the Game Shark disc to make it all work.
@@headypants For some reason I have a sharp eye for these things. When I noticed the end I immediately knew that it was for the Dreamcast, but it is worthless without the disc.
Hey there, big (old!) Commodore and Atari guy here. The computer is the desktop "D" version of the Commodore 128, the successor to the Commodore 64. It should have come with a detachable keyboard, which because of it being proprietary and often discarded, is almost as valuable as the computer itself. I actually have a loose 128D keyboard, if you are looking for one (albeit untested, but I'd be willing to send it to you to see if its of use to you). Also wondering if you got boxed Atari 2600 or Commodore 64 games, I'm always looking for those!
My first N64 game was also Wave Race, my friend bought star wars and I got the console (they only had one each in my local shop) so we had to wait 2 weeks for my Mario (originally I wanted Mario 64 first) and his console. Good times, in retrospect, I hated it back then haha. 😂😮
Same n64 story. My parents got me the console and had a rain ticket for Mario 64 and Star Wars. Had the console for a week or two before we ever got the games to actually play. It was real haha!
I can’t get over the condition of the boxes. Even the Atari stuff is alarmingly minty for going on 40 years old cardboard now. I think this was a great pickup that should return your profit with virtually no labor attached. Those products will sell themselves.
Cool Vid Rick. Guess what else is deceptive about the NES picture on the back?!! It’s pretty hard to play a console when it’s not even PLUGGED in! 😂😂 🤔
Hey Rick and the rest of your team, I would like to wish you a very happy New Year because I don't think you will post any more videos this year, so here you go.
Today I had the opportunity with my wife to visit your shop. If nobodies been it’s really a must do it’s everything I would’ve wanted as a kid to see as a store! We had a great time reminiscing on the games and the store was so clean I can’t get over how clean it was! We drove 3 hours just to check it out and it didn’t disappoint we’re definitely going back also the employees were awesome! All of them did so great at helping. I would’ve said hi but you were so busy at the time I didn’t want to interrupt next time I’ll have to get a picture sorry for the long comment I just wanted to take time to appreciate how amazing the store was! Have a blessed day everyone
No one else is going to pick their jaw up off the ground admiring that guy's door casing in his game room? That's probably 30 bucks a Ln Ft just for the stock!
Those are some cool items, the commodore 128D is worth quite some money i hope you have the keyboard with that. Also that atari 5200 is neat, would love to buy it but i live in holland so shipping will be expencive and riscy. I am curious to see which games you all got in that collection, i bet some nice gems are in there.
The commodore 128D is cool! Thats my niche. Looks like the 128D-CR (cost reduced) metal version, they are more collectible, but you need to look for the keyboard.....
How much for that NES storage container? That thing looks totally sweet. A definite must have for any Nintendo collector. I want one! I'm also thinking I should hit up some swap meets and conventions. I've been looking for some sweet Nintendo or Sega brand stuff to hang on my gaming walls, posters or signs it doesn't matter. Any advice or were is the best kind of places to hit up to look for that kind of thing?
White (Basic, 8GB) and Black (Deluxe, 32GB) Wii Us both launched at the same time. However, white ones are “safer” now because some black launch Wii Us are plagued by faulty Hynix chips, resulting in memory issues and error codes.
idk, i just love to see both of u, if Michael is work for you, seriously i just cant see that way, he is more like bro to u Rick, maybe an older Brother. i hope best for u guys and for ur bussiness
When he said across country, I thought he was coming here to the East Coast to pick up some awesome video game collection. He only went a couple states away and called it what cross country if you came to the East Coast he probably say on the other side of the world.
my left ear really enjoyed this video
Rick!! Super glad you have the collection!! I know you’ll appreciate it as much as I did. I super enjoyed seeing the video. Take care.

That has to be the sickest golf cart I’ve ever seen.
My left ear enjoyed this video.
Someone put Retro Rick in a retro box picture! His adorable face on ALL the family members. Thank you Rick, fam, and crew! A blessed New Year to you!
Wow I am 25 minutes away from Knoxville, IA. What a small world!
Rick get your field guys a camera with stereo audio, lol.
takes me back to the retro years, thank you from a small town in the UK

Seeing that crispy n64 box made me feel a certain way lol

Rick, my wife and I were just talking and in your office there is a black pipe on the wall. That seriously needs to be green like a warp pipe!

I thought so as well at first glance tbh may very well be a 64 shark though ngl .
I take that back you’re absolutely correct it’s Dreamcast. N64 used a cart .
@@headypants For some reason I have a sharp eye for these things. When I noticed the end I immediately knew that it was for the Dreamcast, but it is worthless without the disc.
@@kbramlett6877 my heart said Dreamcast , my head said n64😭

Man when Rick was talking about the Rob the Robot deluxe set, I swear he was channeling the spirit of Jack Black!!
I love the NES action set and power set box ♥
Bro has one the nicest beards I've seen
I got so much stuff myself...I got lucky on launch day '96 when my mom and I went to Target and got the last N64 with a copy of Mario 64. Loved it!
YO WHAT?! You got all of this in Knoxville!? That's so sick! Y'all were in my neck of the woods!
Same n64 story. My parents got me the console and had a rain ticket for Mario 64 and Star Wars. Had the console for a week or two before we ever got the games to actually play. It was real haha!
