My favourite song of my school days. I had a pioneer system and was a dancer then, and used to play this song on high volume. The drum beats are awesome even if you hear them today on a good sound system, specially the bass, it brings me in the dance mood even today at 49. I searched this sound track a lot but could not find one to be downloaded. Today I found this song on you tube. Thankyou so much for posting this video here. I could at least listen to this song again after 33 years. MEMORIES REFRESHED. Keep it up. Very nice. God bless you.
Dam straight. The drums and vocal on this sets you up for the day. I've a 12yr old who loves this (2022) and I agree (despite being shoulder deep in iron metal). Just so awesome. A sound that cant be reproduced. That said.. I so wish it could be!

Quite the contrary, backup singers tend to sing better but they don't have the look to sell, that's why they stay in the background
Yes- this is a good ending where the back up singers win and showed what they had to the world in the spotlight....but to bad they couldn't keep it up!! Like they sing "it's a shame, shame." They need be on the show "Where Are They Now" to see what's going on with them. Now that would be cool.
This was released a year before I was born. It's now 2022! I have this on repeat... The truth is that music like this doesn't exist anymore.

really ? or just that they happened to ride popularity of being in wham. cant remember them having any more songs after this. Sex appeal seems to play a lot in the music industry , just look at Rachel Stevens and Cheryl Cole
The backing singers are usually more talented than the main artist. That's why they're the backing singers - to make the main artist / overall production sound good. The main artists' job is to have "distinctive" rather than "good" voice.

I absolutely loved this song back in the day. Reminds me of my college years every time I hear this. I never understood why this did not take off as a hit here in America. I still love this almost 25 years later.
