I appreciate your videos and enjoy your channel I think the ego category is often commensurate with the person’s wealth A Venn diagram would get close to or wholly over-lapping and concentric based on wealth But I see nothing wrong with that and I don’t see it as negative just more money more ego I am more of a HiFi hobbyist and a value purchaser The most valuable part of all this for me is knowing what I want for the best value proposition Then there are the objectivist versus the subjectivist camps, or hybrids, which is a simple way to divide audio people and far too many just don’t seem very happy and are spiky/prickly/touchy Like the Joker said….Why So Serious ? People are either enthusiastic or not by nature and this personality trait is unrelated to things Knowing what I know now, I could have saved a bundle but I chalk it up to a learning curve If I lose everything I could get another “budget” end-game (for me) system in fairly short order Thankfully I found that I just love low-powered SE tube amplifiers and building speakers From a content HiFi hobbyist Hope everyone finds what they are looking for
100% on people reviewing on TH-cam are bought and paid for. I’ve said it on my channel before and happy to hear you call it out. I will admit, I have an Eversolo DMP-6A Master Edition and happy with it, but digital isn’t my media. I’m an analog guy, so for having music in the background when I work, the ES works great. Would I call it HIFI, no. It’s just a nice entry DAC that works well and sounds good enough for my use case. Keep up the great content. Loving the “Greek” remake.
Thanks for watching and your comment. I totally agree for people who are not obsessed with digital like I am the Eversolo is totally fine. I think if I went down the vinyl path my wife would divorce me. LOL
@@GreekAudioGeek always enjoy your content! I may look to pick up the HiFi Rose RD160. I saw it at Audio Advice Live and was impressed. I’ll need to spend more time researching, but eventually I’ll step up the DAC game. I hear you on the records. Everyday I’m surprised my wife tolerates it, especially since she’s not into vinyl at all. She’s a firm believer of streaming and would likely love for me to step up our DAC game 😉😂
@@VinylLatte One of the BEST dealers I've ever worked with is Mike @ Suncoast audio. He will ALWAYS steer you right and NEVER upsell you. Give him a call and tell him I sent you. He will take GREAT care of you.
One man's interesting and inciteful take into the world of Hi-Fi. Of course, it would have been...naive of we consumers to think that the Hi-Fi industry could lay claim to any a higher level of altruism than a myraid of other business activites. So for me, I think your full disclosure, "this is my opinion" based approach is a refeshingly honest one. And is to be encouraged. What then elevates an opinion to that of a review? It is the simple inclusion of the relevant measurable data! The relevant measurable data that presumably goes some way towards justifying the 'reviewers' expressed, honest opinion. Opinions and reviews aside, I think the Hi-Fi industry has to face up to the challenge of generations of up and coming kids who entirely eschew the idea of Hi-Fi ownership in favour of the convenience of portable media and near field computer setups. Thanks for your piece.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts - you had some great points. I am very careful in my videos to state it is NOT a review and simply my personal opinion and observations as I go along my audio journey. I never want to be known nor claim to be a "reviewer".

Thanks for your kind words regarding the Florida International Audio Expo - we have the passion!
I LOVE that show. If people only attend one show in 2025, it's the Florida one!

Hi Jerry. Thanks for watching. I'm not sure what you are referring too - what comment did I make?
