The show will be set in 1939-40, the year that Batman as a character debuted, which is really cool.
Most of the characters, particularly Batman, Alfred, and most of the villains all have their Golden Age designs. Harley obviously never had one, so they based her costume off of the old harlequin dolls they sold back in the day, which had the same color scheme. Onomatopoeia didn’t have one either, but that was remedied but just giving him a black suit.
Villains were confirmed to be getting are Catwoman, Fire Bug (yes, not Firefly, Fire Bug. Fire Bug was basically the original Firefly from waaaay back in the day, so they’re keeping with the Golden Age theme), Two-Face, Penguin, Onomatopoeia (the guy you mistook for Black Mask), Clayface (red scarf), Gentleman Ghost (likely the blue skull), and Nocturna (likely the black smoke possessing Alfred).

I’m not familiar with Onomatopoeia, that only gets me more excited. The Golden Age vibes mixed with the 90’s animated series vibes are what’s selling me on this for sure!
