    Congratulations guys! What an amazing training day of off-road basics. Stupendous mates. This are the most indeed basic skills you need to start the journey off tarmac. Let's go guys. Godspeed

    Yes..another enjoyable vid..with thrilling music😎..

    • @oceandrew

      Totally disagree... music tempo was 5-10x faster than what was going on in the video. Music for a car chase (high adrenaline) is hardly appropriate for slow riding in the desert. And this was just in the first 4 mins. If there was a way to turn down the music but not lose the narration I'd be happy.

    Excellent vid. Do you have more content of the instructor demos and explanations? We don’t have BMW rider academy training down here in NZ, so it’s hard to find professionals to learn from. Was the lowering to 1.5 bars for both tires?

    • @balmhanna1
      @balmhanna1  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This event is organised by our Dubai dealer and specifically Muhamet Latifi (brand manager). You can always ask your local dealer to arrange a training if you have enough riders willing to sign up. Your dealer can arrange to fly in Instructors for you. As for the 1.5bar. Yes front and rear. Also, I’m not an instructor or qualified to give instruction.
      Good luck.

    Love this bike, but leaning more to the r 1250 rt as my husband and I won't be doing off-road riding. In our country Trinidad and Tobago, we do more road and highway riding here

    Excellent videos! Thanks for sharing this summary of your training, there are instructors that just don’t share the videos which is bad since you don’t have your reference for practicing after your training. So thumbs up to you!

      Carlos, Michael and Robert have always been open about their method of training and they welcome the idea of spreading good information for all off road adventure riders. They are very popular guys. Thanks for watching, part 2 coming up hopefully this weekend, just need to put final touches.

    • @balmhanna1
      @balmhanna1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arlene Sauder Michael replied with the following.
      “Comes from earlier times as the abs was not suitable for off-road and thus needs to be deactivated. Also you can train your skills for non abs bikes... with enduro or enduro pro abs not any more needed to switch off abs at all”

    The first time I saw a GS and that was many many years ago I asked myself who in the hell would want a bike that heavy to ride off road in very rough terrain. I'm still waiting for an answer.

    • @balmhanna1
      @balmhanna1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ron Bassett dearest. How long did you ride a GS for? How long did you own a GS for? And what terrain did you put a GS to? After my 3rd GS LC, guess what I got? Yes a brand new 2019 GS adventure 1250 HP. I asked myself who would buy anything else? Warm regards and thanks for watching.

      Because when you drop it it only goes down half way due to the cylinders. Piece of cake, try picking up a flat dead on the ground KLR, not a piece of cake. Though I sold my BMW (airhead) after having the cylinders break both of my feet in a crash.

    The trick is to ride the bike like a BMX at low speeds and ride the bike like RR at high speeds.

    What is 1.5 bar? in psi?

  • @glideslopRM
    @glideslopRM 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    why 1.5 bar on the tire pressure?

    • @balmhanna1
      @balmhanna1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      when air pressure is reduce in the Tyre, it will make the carcass wider giving more room for friction and grip, which will also allow the rubber to be more flexible.

    • @glideslopRM
      @glideslopRM 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@balmhanna1 does it take ti account the weight of the bike?

    • @silverpredator4213
      @silverpredator4213 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@glideslopRM Its not important, think about it that way, as long as a certain minimum is fiven the tire will give the shock of impact to the springs.
      Keeping this in mind like he mentioned it depends on the terrain you are in, in Sand a higher grip and softer tires are not a problem. On road you tire may pop if you ride it extremly hard
