I love that you share your garden as it is and not wait for perfection. It's something I struggle with- but that resonated with me. The garden is my escape -it's not supposed to be something that brings you anxiety. :)
Thank you! Yes, I hear you, I started to get caught up in it being perfect before videoing and it did start to cause me anxiety and since it is my escape as well I reeled myself back in. I would watch other videos of the perfect gardens and then remind myself, many of those garden youtubers have lots of help, they don't do it themselves. I want to keep it real for the home gardener and that entails accepting it won't look perfect or tidy all the time. And when you are just out enjoying it, whether it is supposedly 'view worthy' is not the point nor important.
I'm a LDA and I just want to say, I'm so grateful for you that your dentist was so thorough! Not sure if you are a believer but the dentist I worked with would always say "God does a better job then we can" when ever things would change. It was like a surrender and every time I say that to myself I find peace with what comes of the situation. Advocating for our own medical health can be so important! Great reminder and thank you for sharing your message on it. So important. I will add you to my prayers. Ps. Love your videos you put out and I agree I love my garden warts and all!. If my garden looked picture perfect I wouldn't have room in the shed for all the put back tools! Ha.
I'm enjoying watching your journey through the seasons !!!! I'm sharing your channel with my friends and family !!!! Thanks for making gardening content !!!! Keep posting , I'll keep watching !!!!
Thank you so much 😊It is 20 years old and with the gophers tunneling under it, it is no longer level so that has caused some issues but it has been a great little greenhouse for me, I have loved having it and it was worth every penny!
You have to be your own advocate for your health. Spent 13 months going to doctor for dizzy spells and finally ended up in ER and it was my heart. Never saw that family doctor again.
I watched this video and I'm sure these plants will soon show you beautiful flowers. They feel your care and will form sprouts very quickly! I'm glad to be here! Have a good day and feel good!
Good morning Pamela 🤗 Always enjoy your videos. I've been avoiding working outside because of the cold weather... and then watch your videos outside in the snow 😅 I'm like okay, TEINA, buck up! Still so much to do 😂 I am definitely a fair weather flower but I don't have snow here in Jamestown... So no excuses. Sending healing vibes your way ❤
LOL, I am right there with you. I am a fair weather gardener too, I am only out in the greenhouse with a heater directed right at me and it is rather like standing in front of a lovely wood fire. I am outside in the cold only for small increments of time. Though sometimes when I get doing the exercise does warm me.
I use a small Dremel drill to put holes in my winter jugs, it works well! Just wanted to share that. :). Wishing you the best as you deal with your health issues, thank you for sharing!
@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse Chilling my seeds in the refrigerator 1st has worked form me but only 50% of the time; however I paid a lot of money for some special delphinium seeds and I will be using the ziplock and winter sow because I’ve had nearly 100% germination rate. Hello Pam. I never would have thought that a dentist could have identified blocked arteries!! And why doesn’t our family doctors have those x-ray gadgets in their offices? They certainly have a lot of us boomers coming through their doors😂 I just love delphiniums but they don’t survive more than 2 years in my soil. Do they need lots of moisture?
Two years is average for many of the delphiniums, most varieties are consider bi-ennials. Mine do well with average moisture and did not seem bothered with drought. I do have irrigation but it was restricted. The dentist didn't actually tell me I had blocked arteries, just that there was shadowing on the x-ray and I should talk to my Dr. about the possibility and to get further testing done.
@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse ,: you can get free ☕ coffee grounds from ⭐ bucks ; ask them to put them in a double bag , so , they don't leak in your car !!!!
For starting the seeds I hear that a few weeks in moist soil in the fridge aids in germination. But to have them be perennial for you also takes some cold in winter, or so I have read. They tend not to like hot and humid conditions but I often push the limits of plants and try them before I write them off no matter what anyone says about them. Sorry I can't be more help.
my acupuncturist told me to eat cooked pineapple, including core, to clean the arteries. also he said no cow milk, cheese, cookies, cake or ice cream made from diary.
R u starting them so early cuz u have a G H? Otherwise maybe in the very early spring indoors? Didn't know that delphinium reseed it's self , will have to try them, but have to start indoors
No, I start them with winter sowing because it works so well and I don't have to put them under lights or do much of anything for them to grow. I will wait to start some indoors as I will need to decide what I will have room for on my light racks.
I am in Zone 8b but that has little bearing on my growing these, it is more my growing conditions. Zone conditions can vary widely even in the same zone.

If I had a nickel for every time I told a person to go to another doctor I’d be a millionaire. Some of the botched diagnoses and/or ignorance stories are unbelievable. If they don’t know what they’re dealing with they should have the good sense to send you to someone who can. I’ve been a nurse for 50 years and I think I’ve heard everything.
I am sure you have heard everything. Finding a primary care Dr around here is tough and to be fair mine, has tried just about every medication on me for high BP but I seem to react negatively to them all. I get angioedema with many meds anymore and it is scary. So if we can't treat it that way we really need to find the cause. I do know that is goes very high in winter as I have SAD and winter is tough to get through for me. Just wish my health insurance would pay for a couple weeks in the Bahamas, I know my Dr would prescribe it if they did.
I took all 4 of our parents to Dr visits and I can tell some stories. It’s awful and scary. Now the latest thing is they are too burned out from answering online visits and messages that was suppose to speed things along-and they are charging to answer some messages. It’s like we all have to be a Dr now.
