Great video Pam ,really enjoyed it and i didn't know that you could take cuttings that way. Ill have to go and check mine out to see if there big enough because they are up also. And will also start more from seed there are so beautiful.
Coming up soon I will share how mine are doing, they have already grown and it has only been a few days! I am keeping an eye out on my others in the garden so I can take cuttings from them as well.
Yes, I will. I will do it when they bloom so it will be June for that. Right now they don't look like much, but I should do a before video to add with it to show the difference. Thanks for the reminder!
I just divided one of mine and got 21 pieces from it! Im sure this sounds super gross but i use the wetter area downstream of the septic to root cuttings 😂. Just using that extra moisture for good! Its kind of way back on the property and otherwise just grows weeds
I do this in Spring as they are sending up new shoots. You can root divide the entire plant but I have been less successful with that. I think it is because we will stay cold well into May and then in June we can jump to hot and they don't like that after the disturbance of being root divided.
I use the New Saturday Lime and it repels them nicely and yes I have put it out. Thank you. I need to let my chickens free range so they can eat all the eggs but we have had some roaming coyotes and foxes lately that are showing up and my chickens would make a tasty meal for them.
Pam I just watched Janies today video on Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat and I saw one of her Iris in bloom. It was a deep grape purple one....I wonder if it was one of the ones you gave her. I remember that video when you helped her plant the ones you gifted her ...lol she was like a chicken with her head cut off but, didnt mention the Iris....how could she???🤔😥
Good kitties. I have hoped mine would be hunters but all they want to catch is my song birds. Though the birds are smart enough to stay out of reach and I put the feeders in place the cats can't reach.
Thank you Pam, you make it look very easy. I am anxious to give it a try.
You can do it!
Thanks for showing Pam. I have never thought of doing that with my delphiniums. Bonny
You are most welcome! It is so easy you will be surprised how well it works.
Hello , thank you so much for showing me
how to do this!!! I love this!!!!
You are so welcome!
I like your new intro Pam!!!
Thank you! 😃. I am having fun playing around with new ones.
Thanks so much for sharing I will definitely try this
I know you will be able to do it, it is so simple and they take right off!
I love delphiums, but never have grown for me. This year I started some from seed. Hopefully they do well. Thanks for your videos.
I hope so too! You are most welcome, I do love the share stuff that I have learned over the decades.
Thank you for the detailed info. Will the cuttings flower this year or will it take a year or two to flower?
They may bloom this year but it would be later on, but most likely next season for sure.

Hi Pam, can you do a tour of your rose collection in your garden
Yes, I will. I will do it when they bloom so it will be June for that. Right now they don't look like much, but I should do a before video to add with it to show the difference. Thanks for the reminder!
Love this video. TY!
I have been planting out all my cuttings the past week. I gave some to my friend who loves Delphs too.
Can you do monkshood like that, I really want more ??
It should. I have a lovely monkshood, I will try it myself. Thanks for the idea!

No comment .....self acknowledgement is the first step....🙄
That isn't gross that is smart thinking. Unless your septic tank is leaking that is not contaminated water it is just an area that collects water.
Hi so you do this in spring ? Do they over winter in tubs in greenhouse im in england i think were zone 9....

Hurry Pam put some bait!!! You cant let the Queen of the Perennial Border go down like that.

I’ve been lucky enough that one of my outside cats have been hunting and ☠️ gophers i hope that they don’t come and eat my plants
