I agree, I don’t think the fact that it was shipped should make a huge difference either. If it’s genuinely good, u can taste it even if it is shipped….
@@bbbb1023 some foods don’t ship the same as fresh. It’s on them if it doesn’t live up to expectation, but shipped KBBQ definitely would experience a quality drop. They can’t offer many items they are known for.
This was so fun! Your mom is so cute!! It definitely goes to show that you can get exquisite meals from super markets and how it is cooked can truly elevate the dish. It'd be neat to see similar comparisons with tacos, fried chicken and any other dishes. :D
Hahaha the end with the music and your mom fanning the grill. I love it. Also so interesting! Kinda crazy seeing H-Mart finish over a Michelin star service. I'd be so curious as to how different an in-person experience is.
Absolutely loved this! Such a fun and entertaining video 🥰 loved your Mom and friends intelligent guessing, they’re all so thoughtful. It was just like watching a food network show!
Great video... I think Cote should probably include instructions to maybe air dry the cuts in the fridge because that could decrease the cooking times make the cuts be more tender. I have been lucky enough to dine at Cote in NYC and thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure if we'd return for a few reasons, but fun video!
This was great. I haven’t eaten at Cote but have San Ho Won in SF, and I’ll tell you, their cuts of meats and other food is superb 👌🏼I hope you get a chance to try it next time you’re in the Bay.
Loving ur new vid! Trying diff things, +places Definitely tryn ur kimchi fav... I tryed Brodard w/ my fam the othr day on ur recom. Our new fav place! Omg those spring rolls! Thanks ✌🏽 🩵
First introduction to Korean food I had was befriending a Korean couple in grad school. To this day, their homemade kimchi and bulgogi is the best I've had (and I now live in Atlanta, which has a large Korean population).
Your mom was like-dead on most of the time. The other 2, well honestly everyone had great opinions, but it goes to show how the human mindset can change, as soon as one person says something different, the others can be swayed in their opinion. Maybe because it wasn’t competitive really, and everyone was working together, nobody wanted to be closed off. So when someone thought the opposite of them, they would try to much to listen to that persons thoughts instead of going with their own. But mom lol she would just be like, “Yeah, no I think this” it was great
Ahhhhh we had to watch this with one eye open… haha I’m sorry but the way these incredible cuts of meat were cooked didn’t do them justice. Cote’s process and intention behind why they do everything they do is impressive. Ofc we can all cook at home which is a message I love and am passionate about, but we at least need to learn their genuine process if we’re going to try to recreate what they do and put it next to HMart meat cooked the same.
I’m not trying to compare it to the restaurant experience. I’m testing their delivery kit and cooking it as someone at home would …and honestly would a normal person grill it any differently?
This proves that you don't need to spend $$$$$ at a well known restaurant when you can make great tasting home cooked meals yourself. Well done!
So true!!! I think dining at their restaurant would have been a completely different experience though so would be fun to try one day!!
Cote tasted better but these girls just got fooled by the look and presentation.

Agree!!
'It tasted white' LOL HILARIOUS, also love how she immediately snapped a photo of the kimchi because she was that sold on it. Interesting!

Your mom is such a gem 😭😭❤❤
I love mom so much! Would love more videos with her in it 😊
Wow surprised mom chose wrong! Sounded like she knew it all along
Same!!

I hope you liked it!! A classic Vietnamese restaurant. Thank you for watching!
how much did the Hmart one cost though? SRF is not cheap either

I’ve eaten at Cote and it is amazing in person! I love their ssamjang sauce.
Their ssamjang sauce is 🔥 from the box. I’d love to try it in person one day, I know so much care goes into each service!
@@honeysuckle Definitely! If you go one day, I highly recommend trying the kimchi paella. It was one of the best things we ate 😊
Yummmmm sounds amazing
Lovely wholesome video.
Thank you!! Good wholesome fun! 😊
Wow that was amazing to watch from someone that don’t eat meat but love me some kimchi
I always have a gallon of kimchi in the fridge hahha so good
This was really fun 🤩 to watch
The shots at cote at the end omg 🤣No kimchi "It tasted white" I'd simply have to close my business if I heard that.
Definitely agreed that dining at the restaurant would probably be a different experience. Will have to go try it out since it’s right in my hometown
Your mom is lovely!
When I went to Cote in-person last year, they had kimchi though. Although I would say the kimchi was only ok, I had better kimchi at BCD Tofu lol.
I love bcd
Where'd you get the little table grill from?
I got it on amazon!! Don’t know if I’d recommend it tho since it did burn my cutting board 😅😅
happy ramadhan fasting
What does White taste like? I wish you has put in there how much you spent on the Hmart food? Close to $300 also?
Is that Jong brand kimchi? 👀
The only brand I buy!! Truly the best
Hi what brand is that kimchi ? I want to try it !
seems like a ton of food from the restaurant i was surprised love asian food will have to try korean :)
Shordi on the right 😍
Well that was fun!
Did you and your husband get to eat some of the food off camera?!

I think h mart meat isn’t good, it’s always tough… even the Wagyu ones. But I guess it’s better than $300 Michelin. Can’t be deceived by the stars
