I was there for a weekend while it was still part of East Germany. I visited that church for example. It was an overgrown field with a few large blocks visible and a chain link fence around it. It is amazing how much they have managed to rebuild in thirty some years
still part of east germany???? what do you mena by that please?
@@woarryrinraw before reunification when East Germany or DDR and West Germany or BRD were two different countries
Such a relief to see this video as an arriving student. Thank you so much for creating this video and alleviating a big part of the stress.
Just been there with my wife and my parents. Lovely place, easily in my top 3 places to visit in Germany. We love Dresden!
impressive reconstruction! I hope they restore the rest of the old buildings in Dresden! :)
Loving Dresden!!! 😍😍😍
❤Mr. Lukas Stege and his team interview the most fascinating and engaging young people in this universities series.
I'm leaving in Dresden for almost 5 years and I can tell you guys, that Dresden is the most liveable city in Germany in my opinion, especially for student.
Student live is best of all the time! Being student everyone enjoy alot. Class, bar, sport, biking, chilling witb friends, almost everything is enjoyable!
Thanks. Been visiting Dresden from the UK for the last 10 years over Christmas and honestly didn't know about the Codex at the university library. Will have to see this next time.
Super! I spent a month in Dresden last year in order to do an internship at the Uniklinikum. I have the best memories
Very informative.
Oh really! Very informative and international!
Interesting that the engineering guy never goes out, yet the humanities lady treats herself to the joys of Dresden!
Maybe because he has a part time job or something whereas the girl doesn't

I always wanted to see Dresden as I heard they rebuilt some of it. While very nice, it’s just a few buildings.

I wonder how many old buildings survived the bombing in World War II ?
🤔
I felt lost, this is a German travel show but they speak Spanish. I hope that Lukas interviewed Greta in Deutsch since she is studying in Germany.
This is DW, it's made for people outside Germany. Why does the language matter to you anyway?
The whole point is to attract international candidates. Showing that Dresden is open to other languages and cultures is part of that.
Please get another host?
Why he is great! I actually wach it because of him
There is nothing wrong about him.
9:03 This reporter shouldn’t be shaming his country or Dresden in front of foreigners. What a whimper.
Imagine how beautiful Dresden would be if the allies hadn't firrbombed it to help the Soviets advance.
I love it because germans and white Europeans are majority:)))) you barely meet so many oriental representatives
