    Hi Fr. Mark,
I just wanted to write you a very quick comment. So, I suffered a Heart Attack in 2011 and full Respiratory Arrest in 2017. Had an NDE both times. With the heart attack, I went to Heaven. It was the most awesome, amazing experience. It was beautiful. It was BEYOND beautiful. I still have a hard time explaining just how beautiful it is. When I got there, I was able to walk around and look at everything; The mountains, the animals, the flowers. And the COLORS!!! There were colors there I had never seen before or since. You just can't explain it in any way that would do justice to the magnificence. I wanted to stay, but this voice, like the gentlest breeze fluttered across my face and said "Not yet" and I literally FELL back into my body. I dropped so hard I almost bounced myself onto the floor! For a fraction of a second, I remembered the answer to every question I had ever asked and just as suddenly, it was all gone. What I did remember was hearing the messages, "It's not time for you to remember, you will when it's time" and then the other message was "You have now seen Heaven. You KNOW it's real. Go now and tell your story, tell your truth." And I have, to anyone who would listen. I actually had MANY Christians who laughed and told me it was just the chemicals the brain was releasing. They said I did NOT go to Heaven and should stop lying. I had not lied. I was turning 50 that year. Those statements made me cry. It hanged my view on many people right then. I didn't understand how anyone, especially those who claimed to be Christians/Catholics could honestly believe that way! I cried for a long time but still told my story and, as you can see, I still do!
With the respiratory arrest, I went down. It was so far beyond terrifying. When I found myself there, I didn't know what was happening. I saw my husband and other family members coming towards me as if to comfort me but they looked different, kind of "Off". When they got about 8-10 feet away, the facade would begin to melt/crumble off and this horrible snarling shrieking creature was there, trying to grab me but they couldn't get any closer. It was like having an invisible shield around me with my back against the wall of this impossibly high mountain. And they were getting angrier and angrier; shouting, screaming, HOWLING! I have never felt such desperate, DESOLATE hopelessness in my life! This cycle of family coming toward me, only for them to become these demonic creatures, went on for what seemed like forever. All the while I'm calling for God, begging, asking Jesus what I had done, pleading to be saved. I looked up and all I saw at that moment was the blackness of the ceiling that seemed like hundreds and hundreds of miles away. But I kept praying anyway. And these horrible hideous creatures in this utter desolation, kept trying to reach for me, but they couldn't. All of the sudden, I felt someone take my hand and at the same time those creatures started shrieking and howling even louder, but they started backing up too. And they were furious! As I felt myself being lifted out, a voice boomed out from everywhere "I TOLD you, you cannot have her! She is MINE!". I know it was GOD who spoke and Archangel Michael who was pulling me out of the desolation.
St. Michael took me all the way back to heaven, where I stayed for a short time and then returned to my body. The message I came back with was "You have now seen BOTH Heaven and Hell. You now KNOW they are real. Go out and tell your story, give your message. There IS still time but it is drawing near." And I do believe it is.
So I have shared my story on my page on facebook, posted it on my twitter and talked about it here on a couple of channels on youtube. A lot of folks believed it. A lot of folks didn't. And a whole bunch were just mean. But it's OK. I pray for them anyway.
Our "job" if you will, here on earth is BOTH simple and very hard: Try to be the best person and the BEST CHRISTIAN you can be! Our job is to lead by example, be the change you want to see. Even if that means some people drop out of your life! Perhaps they are afraid to change themselves and you're no longer ""fun" because you're no longer doing the things you have always known you shouldn't. It's OK! New people, folks who want to raise you up, not tear you down, will begin to enter your life. THOSE should be who you want but especially NEED in your life.
Folks, Heaven and hell are very real places and PLEASE AVOID the elevator going DOWN! That place is NOT somewhere you want to go! Because i don't want this to turn into a small biography, I've left some stuff out but I have to say, leaving and going to heaven was something I will NEVER forget as long as I live! I hope, when it's my time to leave this earth, I go that way again!
Well, if you read this, thank you! I pray you have a beautiful wonderful and Blessed life!
May God Bless and Keep you always.

My 7-year-old daughter has been getting visions and says she “teleports to heaven”. A couple days ago she said God said, “More people go to hell than to heaven.” And she said people in our family were in danger of hell.
This floored every particle of my being. We pray, “Lead all souls to heaven” and “Have mercy on us and on the whole world” so I’ve been in this place of hoping all people go to heaven and leaving it at that. I have been beyond terrified. This is the fourth day. But I have dedicated the rest of my life to living this way, terrified, in the knowledge of heaven and hell so that I might pray much better and speak much better.
Thank you for this video so I can encourage my children and others in what to do, to consider God and pray to him at all times. This is all I ever think about.

You should read the Bible to see if this teaching is true. (John 3:13)
No man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven .Even king David called the man with the heart of God has not yet ascended to heaven (Acts 2:34). Satan can come in any form he wants. He is the father of lies, says the bible.( 2 Corinthiens 11:14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light..Think about what Satan did with Jesus when he tried to tempt him. You can read (Matthew 4: 1-4). If you don't read the Word of God, Satan and his followers will deceive you too. Don't let others tell you what the TRUTH is. @Roman Catholic Church Of early church fathers
The woman - described as "enveloped in the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head" (verse 1) - represents Old Testament Israel. In the latter, God speaks of His people as an extremely beautiful woman who has attained a royal dignity (Ezekiel 16, Webster's version). The crown of 12 stars symbolizes the 12 tribes of Israel (Genesis 37: 9-10).
In the New Testament, the Church of God is symbolized by a woman; and its members are compared to virgins (Matthew 25: 1-13; Revelation 14: 4; 19: 7). The New Testament Church is called "the Israel of God" (Galatians 6:16), is compared to "the Jerusalem above" and also to "the mother of us all" (Galatians 4:26; Hebrews) 12: 22-23). The members of the Church are "the chosen race, the royal priesthood, the holy nation, the acquired people" (1 Peter 2: 9).

That every single thing I do, say, and think is bad. That nothing I can do could ever merit God's mercy on me. But when you look at these saints, like St. Mother Teresa, or St. Maximillian Kolbe, or St. Therese of Lisieux, they were all different, with different strengths and different ways of showing their faith and love of God. We are all different and none of us are the same; we simply have to find our own unique way to sainthood. Some Saints are "S'aints, whereas others may be 's'aints. But then, who am I...I'll probably be the one cleaning up after everyone has moved out of Purgatory!

@@marianh9812 WOW! I'll just be frank and make a selfish request that you remember me and my intentions before the LORD when you pray this wonderful devotion, including my calling to finish the other half of my studies to become a deacon. I did not plan on doing it until at least five plus more years when I near the age of 60 and both my wife and I start to slow things down. But on Ash Wednesday I received a strong call from the LORD to do it now.
I've commonly said to fellow Christians, Catholic and non-Catholic, whenever I meditate on the passion of our LORD, one of the graces I am granted is the Holy Spirit makes me realize what is most important in my life and life in general and the things I should not be focusing on and/or attached to become easier to let go of.
The only thing I would add here is for other people not familiar with this devotion or any other devotion where the LORD promises us a reward(s) if we do it. I remember when I first learned about the reward for going to confession and receiving Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday. While meditating on it the LORD spoke to me and said: "Don't do it because you fear my punishment. Do it because you love me." And so this should be with everything devotion, let alone all things in life. Easier said than done though right! Speaking for myself, with all humility, I cannot say that each Mass I intend is first and foremost for love the LORD. More commonly, it is because I'm thinking of the wretchedness of my soul and the blessings I will receive after receiving Him in the Sacrament of sacraments.
Thank you for reminding me of this devotion that I used to pray, but for whatever reasons I stopped doing. You have inspired me to start it again and do it with my wife. I will be praying for your intentions as well!

I really encourage you to try and not read what is in each link with a mind of trying to find holes in the arguments presented, but to read with an open mind as any good judge and jury would do.
A classic example used for this, however good or bad it may be, is a person getting upset enough to throw a rock through the neighbor's window after getting into a heated argument, after which the person comes to his/her senses and apologizes to the owner. Now the owner says it's okay I forgive you. What's left? The window. It still needs fixed. Now let's parlay that out into real life.
A person, in one form or another and with a considerably sound mind, i.e., does not have some sort of serious psychiatric illness, "breaks the windows" of many other people's lives, by way of gossip, adultery leading to abortion, stealing, etc., and this person does it decade after decade after decade not only to strangers, but also and even to his own parents, siblings, relatives, friends, etc. Now let's say this person continues along in life, gets drunk, and while driving drunk hits and kills a husband and wife, but they had six young children still at home, i.e., another "broken window.." The person then goes to prison, but after many years have passed while in there he eventually finds GOD and asks God to forgive him in the name of Jesus,. Unfortunately, while continuing to serve out his time he dies of a heart attack. Although he got to write a few letters of apology to people he had sinned against asking for forgiveness he never got to make amends with all the rest.
Now allow me to bring this "back out" into how the Catholic Church views this. Each sin caused a stain on that person's soul and depending on the sin and its effects on the other persons' lives the stain could be a light one or a heavy one, like with adultery and abortion, and, in the case of the vehicular homicide, another heavy stain. Now the Catholic Church agrees with what you stated earlier, that Jesus' act of atonement on the cross is sufficient for all of us. Where the Catholic Church has a different viewpoint is how God's grace, through Jesus Christ, is APPLIED (as you will also read about in the links I included).
Before I go further, let me bring in a different example to illustrate my point. Let us say you have a local pastor who grew up in a solid Christian home where both his father and grandfather were pastors of the same church he is pastoring currently. He lives a life of exemplary virtue, reads Scripture daily and lives out the Gospel message in so many ways. But eventually, he too dies of a heart attack. Okay, now let us compare the two at the end of their lives.
Both men, died knowing the love and mercy of God and the atoning work of Christ on the cross. The first did not know the LORD until late in life while the other both knew and obeyed the LORD throughout his lifetime. Btw, I have an acquaintance who's ministry is to the people in prison, including those on death row. The example I gave is not that much different from the real life stories he hears from the people to whom he ministers. And for the sake of clarifying the argument let us say both, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, were able to have a thorough examination of all the sins of their lives, and with a contrite heart, asked GOD to forgive them of all their sins in the name of Jesus. In the end, we can agree that both will merit heaven by the blood of the cross alone.
Now in one sense, God's mercy is, per se, unfair as seen in the example above. In other words, the first, after living a life full of sin, gets into heaven just as easily, per se, as the second who lived a devout life. But is it really like that?
Now there are some who will, in their argument against Purgatory, misquote Scripture in relation to this quoting Paul as saying: "... to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD." This in incorrect. What he did say was this: "So we are always of good courage; we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. We are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord" (cf. 2 Cor 5:6-8, RSV).
If I may, I'll ask you a question. Do you believe that anything unholy can be in the full presence of God in Heaven? When you answer that in your head be careful not to quickly think of some "Yeah, but..." kind of thought as this is just a yes or no question. If you can say, yes, then maybe you can consider that there is a final state of purification to purge every last stain on a person's soul before one can come into the full presence of God, especially for those whose lives have any kind of similarity to the example of the first person I gave above.
Now with all I've said so far I will quote from a part of one of Paul's letters to the church in Corinth: "According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it. For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw- each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire" (1 Cor 3:10-15). Applying this passage to the first man's life, the Catholic Church's interpretation of it would say the whole of his life, up until he came to know the LORD, was a life full of straw, i.e,. none of it would be left after exposing it to the fire of truth that is God. But the Catholic Church would say his trust in the mercy and forgiveness of God and whatever good he did do in jail would be the equivalent of gold, silver and precious stones. In this case, the man, at the end of his life which was full of varying degrees of sin, finally found his foundation in the LORD, repented of his ways, and lived as virtuously as he could while in jail. Nevertheless, it is the whole of his life that is tested by fire. And it is the teaching of the Catholic Church, again, that the straw part of this man's life that will cause this man to suffer in Purgatory for all the sins he was unable to make amends for, but because his foundation is in the Lord he will still receive the reward of Heaven.
Before I wrap it up I will say this. Although it is not talked about in this video and maybe not discussed in the link I shared or within any of the links within that link, there is the viewpoint given--if you can be open to the possibility that the state of Purgatory is true--of souls who are in Purgatory and what they have shared. I cannot recall the exact source/reference, but I read where the souls in Purgatory have said --by a mystical encounter with someone here on earth--they actually desire to go through this state of purification before getting into Heaven because they know they have offended GOD as God revealed to them all the negative effects their actions had on the lives of others.
And let me be clear, the Catholic Church does not teach that every soul has to go through this final stage of purification assuming that person lived a virtuous life in the name and for the person of Jesus Christ. On top of that, as non-Catholics like to ask Catholics about their certainty of going to Heaven, the Catholic Church teaches one should have confident assurance of going to Heaven assuming he/she has an intimate relationship with their Savior that expressed daily in their walk to salvation, including a regular examination of conscience and repenting of one's ways as necessary.
Finally, as I've said to others who have a different understanding on any doctrine, let alone this one, I remind them of what people long ago firmly believed for hundreds of years and even after hundreds of years after Galileo came along and said (paraphrasing): "Hey folks, the earth is not the center around which the sun revolves. It's the other way around." What I mean to say is please be open to the possibility that what you currently understand as truth to you may not be so, but that what the Catholic Church teaches about this topic is actually true. But, at the very least, please read through all the arguments which are presented in the links I shared. And if after reading and praying about what you've read you can still say you do not agree, so be it.
Peace in all things to you and yours.

Our Lady shows her deep Maternal concern for all her children through these apparitions and Her messages. And who does Our Lady appear to? Simple children with little understanding of matters of faith and philosophy but who demonstrate simple humility. The Church prudently upheld the validity of Our Lady's visits to Kobeo. Blessed be God. Blessed be God forever. 😀

Repent of your sin and your name will be in God's book of life forever. It's not about how you feel, it's about truth and God's saving grace. Read the book of Romans SLOWLY may I suggest. Viva Christo Rey! Greetings from Texas. Yesterday as we were waiting in line for the sacrament of reconciliation, this very nice parishioner started to tell us about Our Lady of Garabandal (Spain) and how with each apparition our Lady leaves hints. He’ said he’s curious about Her messages and the possible impact this year or in the coming years. He became emotional as he was telling us because of all that is going on in this world today (pandemic, church crisis, etc.) Could you possibly talk about these apparitions Father? I really appreciate your commentaries such as the one today. Thank you for your evangelization! God bless you always.
