Late to this but Zingano talked about why she rushed Ronda. From her previous fights, she'd been left with concussion symptoms that resulted in some real debilitating effects, with the worst fight related one being that she no longer seemed to be able to anticipate an opponent's movements. So if she saw someone ducking down, her brain couldn't take that information and come up with the conclusion that the other person was going for a takedown. Knowing this, she felt like she would get picked apart if she stayed at range so she decided to try and get right into grappling so her weakness might be less noticeable. Honestly, given that disadvantage, she was pretty much guaranteed to lose

Conor V Cerrone was exactly what the UFC intended for it to be, a squash match. Cowboy was shot by that point and was getting TKO’d in every other fight. Rose should be higher on this list. I’ve never seen a fighter go from beloved to instantly hated as fast as Rose. You almost can’t put her on cards now
Stephen was completely right sadly. Conor did nothing since that fight.
Because of Covid
@@thenedsmmachannel8970 exactly, Conor couldn't get a fight during Covid cause the UFC didn't want their biggest star fighting with no crowd. Then he came back and fought Poirier rusty and with a different style.
years later and MMA channels like these still gotta run with that narrative against SAS when he was right in hindsight
Love y’all man. Glad to have been able to see y’all’s Channel grow the way it has
I know it's old, but I'm surprised Mark Kerr knocking himself out early in his fight at PRIDE 27 right after his redemption documentary came out wasn't on the list
The Cat Zingano one was tragic - truly a smooth brain moment on her part to rush Rousey with a flying knee.
autism moment for sure
zingano is imo the best womens league fighter
@@lnvalidm8 she lost to Cris Cyborg recently though
"Flying" knee...
More like a gliding knee
Where is Cyril Gane vs Jon Jones?! He didn’t even try to defend the Guillotine.
Ciryl checked out mentally against Ngannou and Jones. He has all the talent to be one of the all-time greats, except enough mental fortitude for big time fights. He's so loose and relaxed, yet focused and aggressive in 99% of his fights - but when he fought Francis and Jon he was visibly nervous and physically constricted.
Awesome vid guys!! Kee up the good work!!
The Nunes-Pena 1 fight was so weird. Pena was good enough that if Nunes wasn't trying 100% then she could overcome here. Nunes wanted to play with her food instead of getting the job done and that was enough for Pena to take over.
Im pretty sure nunes was still recovering in that first fight. Once she had actually recovered for real the universe was back to its proper order
im pretty sure that fight was rigged. others were too. but that one for sure.
@@buttface9434 I like how you say "for sure" like you have actual evidence instead of just wild speculation
@@garbour456 ufc is rigged in many ways. its not really a sport, its entertainment. in fact i would venture a guess that all pro sports are rigged now a days due to all the sports betting that is now legal.
Stephen A is the biggest poseur in sports. A few years ago, he was talking about a matchup between the Chargers and Chiefs, and he was saying how he was looking forward to seeing Spencer Ware play (out with a foot injury), talking about the incredible season Chargers TE Hunter Henry was having (has not played all year yet) and the matchup with Derrick Johnson (who was cut by the Chiefs earlier). The look on Tedy Bruschi's face was priceless.
If any of these guys were good at predicting sports they wouldn't have careers. Like, imagine going out there and saying so-and-so has a 55% change of winning but you're not too sure. No one would watch
My face when I hear Tommy's voice 😊
my face when I hear Baylium
Anyone is better than bayliun
Stephen A. was right. Cowboy was completely off that night. Cowboy even confirmed it.
Nunes wasn't still fully recovered from Covid.
Also injured and didn’t have a full camp. That’s why she looked cooked by round 2. 😭
Objectively, maybe some fighters and mma fans are too sensitive for Stephen A's style imo. He can bluntly say an NBA player looked like dog crap the other night. But say that about an MMA fighter and fans will be like, "So disrespectful. Do you know how hard he trains and how brutal this sport is?" Like all of that is irrelevant. Did he have a shit performance or not? Idk. It feels like there is commentary and criticism that works for most or all other sports, but analysts need to walk on eggshells about MMA sometimes. Just imo
Complete truth.
Fun fact, Amanda Nunes was recovering from a hurt leg and covid a few months before. All these things factored into that performance from Nunes
i think the cowboy conor fight is the closest ive ever been to agreeing with steven a smith, but his take on "lights being too bright" was stupid, it was just the fact cowboy was way over the hill and it was a tune up fight, in that sense we didn't learn anything about mcgregor that night
Cowboy would have lost that way to Conor in his prime though. He was never close to his level.
Except it’s a literal meme that Cowboy always loses in big fights and this was his biggest so really he was just completely right 💀
@@fmgmack it wasnt a big fight though it was a tune up fight thats my point, this wasnt a title shot or something he was starting a long losing streak
@@Alex-me3yn What do you mean it 'wasn't a big fight'? 😂 EVERY Conor fight is a 'big fight'. Conor fights are bigger than almost all title fights, and that's a fact.
The Cowboy absolutely didn't show up in thatfight and he is notorious for sucking in main event fights. So I'm with Stephen A Smith on this one.
Great video
But cowboy actually brought up that fight like last year and pretty much confirmed what Stephen A said. I remember because I was mad he ended up being right😂
I could easily replace Peña vs Nunes with Rousey vs Nunes, it felt like when you play a fighting game on versus mode and player 2, Rousey, is left totally vague. It was like Ronda was never in a fight before.
Amazing how people give excuses for Nunes having a bad night but no one makes excuses for Cyborg losing to Nunes. Hmmm.
Mma fans being biased hypocrites?!?! Never

Chuck vs Tito 3. As a huge Iceman fan that was hard to watch.
Gotta mention Silva vs Maia that was unreal. Maia just scooting on his back and Silva not doing much later on in the fight Dana also absolute raging made it even better 😂😂
The only reason it didn't make it is because there wasn't a lot of banter between the two.
Silva v Leites was just as bad
If she hadn't been robbed by the judges in her 2nd fight vs Nunes, Thug Rose would have been a 2 weight world champion.
If she secured a couple of title defenses at 135... she might be considered the GOAT.
Don’t you mean Valentina?
Colby Covington slander should cheer me up after this fucking awful week I've had.
Love Tommy Toe hold episodes! slowly becoming the only ones I like. The vids of the guys talking on the mic is wayyy to dry for my liking
I think Amanda put the house on pena because of the crazy odds lost on purpose to make a shit load of money then got her belt back 😂
Would’ve made even more money in a trilogy to retire off of but Peña got injured
Truly would’ve been the biggest hustle in MMA history by the MMA GWOAT
Wait I could've sworn Griffin against Silva would've shown up on here? I actually was waiting for it to be Number 1 lol
Stephen A actually called it though......Cerrone is a notorious choke artist
I will never understand the diaz hype, guy lost to anybody who was an upper echelon fighter, I think he’s got more losses than he does wins, and he barely speaks English and everybody loves him, I just don’t understand, is it because he’s just crazy tough?
Flexes after missing weight yet those "hardcore" fans don't show the energy they show to guys like Khamzat, Romero, Oliveira ...
Why do people love clowns ? Exactly
The average UFC fan relates to his stupidity
Tyron Woodley vs Usman and everybody else afterwards. He had nothing for Kamaru and times looked down right scared to engaged with Gilbert Burns
he tried to fight against Luque & finally went out on sheild
@@adeosinowo3197 true, he did put up a fight against vincente

Woodley shuts down when you bully him and offer him more than just one dimension to the game. Rory MacDonald was the first guy to expose that.
7:26 lmao of course they included Colby’s “seventh layer of hair” line 😂
Ion like Stephen A Smith but I gotta agree w/ him , cerrone literally said he didn't show up & that he was consumed by the moment
Conor V Cerrone was exactly what the UFC intended for it to be, a squash match. Cowboy was shot by that point and was getting TKO’d in every other fight. He was one of the most chinnable fighters in the division at that point, nowhere near his prime, so the UFC fed him to Conor cause he still had name value and was very beatable. That fight meant nothing and proved nothing
No Holloway v Kattar is crazy, it felt like I just watched a middle schooler get bullied for 25 minutes. “I’m the best boxer in UFC baby!”
Dude Kattar did everything he could in that fight, it just wasn't enough. Its not even comparable to Colby vs Leon where Colby didn't even try to go out on his shield.
Sucks that ive been a fan long enough to have watched the entire fight to all of the compilation videos of UFC fights/fighters
Why does that suck?

Izzy gave Costa backshots, I don't know how that's not number 1 😂😂
What’s crazy, Donald said it himself that he didn’t want to be there. I can’t believe Stephen was kinda right.
Getting outwrestled by an English striker has got to be a really hard diss, no offense to English fighters. They produce some crazy boxers.
Wrestling just isnt really a thing over here, only place you will see it is MMA gyms or maybe specialist places in major cities. Its why years back fighters like Bisping trained in the US, and why he was a LHW because cutting has wrestling roots and he didnt know about it.

Nunes vs Peña is definitely #1. She looked like she could go another 3 rounds in the rematch but was GASSED by the second round here. Yes she was sick and injured. Yes it was a fluke. but she still took the fight, underestimated Peña, and lost terribly. Lost a lot of money that day 😂

Colby is such a liar. The only kick he threw above leons hip the whole first round hit leons forearm. And it was slow as sh*t. If thats what broke his foot he must be sean omalleys brother. Plus he said he was gonna put out x-rays and that never happened. I think his carrer is pretty much over
Cowboy was on a skid (got stopped by Gaethje 4 months prior, dragged through hell by Tony before that) facing Conor. Already in a bad mind state on top of the entire build up talking about his mindset. He was a lamb to slaughter
Didn’t cowboy himself say what Stephen a said was tight
Chael P Sonnen! WEC Middleweight champ! I don't give a fuck what you tell me.
I genuinely despise the way the MMA community at large still tear into Stephen A Smith and completely ignore that Cowboy stated later on that he didn’t turn up for that fight and didn’t want to be there. Stephen was 100% spot on, Cowboy didn’t turn up, he shat the bed. But the MMA community can’t handle any criticism so they just ignore that Cowboy owned up to not wanting to be there and looking for a way out as soon as Conor gave him one. Cowboy even said that, as soon as Conor gave him a way out Cowboy took it. Stephen A was spot on, but the salty MMA community can’t accept it.
