Heart palpitations are NOT a "ridiculous way to end a fight". They are real and they are extremely debilitating, especially if you've never had them and don't know what is happening.
I agree. I've had some during rolling sessions in the past due to heavy caffeine consumption, and it feels like you're having a f*cking heart attack: short breath, blurry vision, dizziness, loss of strength (you feel like you're literally empty); it's not a fun experience.
I have an extra beat that kicks in at times. Drs say its harmless, butt it can be bad enough that it feels like I have been punched in the chest. I was a correctional officer when it started. It would just really piss me off. My work partner was way more worried than I got.
Pretty sure the idea is that it _looked_ ridiculous, since there were no outside signs that Ken was having heart issues; as far as anyone looking from the outside with no context is concerned, he called it quits for no reason. Only now we know that he may have had a VERY good reason to quit indeed.
The most bizarre way I've seen a fight end is Matt Mitrione kicking his opponent in the nuts 10 seconds into the fight and the guy couldn't continue. This was the main event of a Bellator card in February 2019, and once the doctor called off the fight Matt thought he had one by TKO and was celebrating, but I think he was DQ'd or it was a NC.
Crazier things have happened. In Bellator one HW fight (Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos) ended in a groin strike. The rematch also ended in a groin strike by the other fighter. And not any kind of common kick, but an axe kick! To a downed opponent!
Nakamura vs Wanderlei has always seemed fine to me, strangely it was on my very first PRIDE live event back in 2005 (my older brother was an amateur and he never missed a PRIDE event) and if you look at Silva instead of focusing on "King Kaz" removing his Gi, then you can see that Wand obviously waited for him to be done Nakamura and Wand then punched each other at the same time and KazNak got countered & finished, but seriously, look at the finish from all the angles and don't listen to the commentary, and it seems obvious than Wanderlei paused for a second
@@randallflagg3700He did pause for a moment but once he realized what Nakamura was doing, he took the opportunity to close the distance and started throwing that first punch just as Nakamura got his hands up. No way it happens like that if he didn't take his gi off there.
I'm wondering why these guys aren't getting DQ'd anymore when they foul someone and their opponent cannot continue. It used to be a loss on your record and now it seems it's a no-contest. What gives?
Because it depends on whether it was intentional or not. For example: kneeing downed opponent, using their limp body as a trampoline, fish hooking etc are all intentional fouls. Eyepoking, accidental groin strikes, clash of heads are typically not intentional and therefore are no-contests.
Two guy accepting the No Contest and Celebrating that they put on a show for the fans! Just awesome sportsmanship! (hopefully they got a rematch for them self)

dude was straight up gasping for air hitting the guy from the bottom as one last attempt before being turned to a carpet on the canvas
Great video, never saw the bloodbath fight
i like that both fighters in the two much blood one celebrated together and acted like they had both just won.
Attacking a referee like that should be a lifetime ban from sport. You clearly don't understand what it's about.
Litteraly 2 days ago a PFL MAIN EVENT : Doumbé vs Baki got stopped because Doumbé walked on a metal shiver or a glass shard that was on the mat and when he asked the ref if he could remove it (his opponent was ok with it) the ref straight up stopped the fight and it got classified as self inflicted damage
I never knew that clip was Fury but seen it hella times before lol.
love it how the finnish fighter sees his trainer getting KO'd and is like "yeah whatever"
That double KO made me lol😂
