I’ve made some Montessori inspired materials for my daycare. I feel like there are some items worth the pricey price tag while others are easy to make!!!

Absolutely! And even in a Montessori class, you can often find materials put together by the teacher-a polishing activity, a lock opening activity... a lot can be done with items around the house as this is what our kids LOVE to use.

Great evaluation of the play kit and recommendations of the replacement items! Saved me so much time to search online (well, I actually did…3hours😅) I wish I watched this video before that. You definitely helped me to make decisions with your baby’s experience. Thank you for making this video. Very helpful!!❤

That's why I started sharing 😅 since I was spending hours searching, I was sure at least one other person out there was doing the same and could benefit from a series of these! Glad to hear it was indeed helpful 😊

I love this video. It is great and helpful to see how different items work for babies or not really.

Great video! Confirms what I thought. What I want to know is if the parent books are worth it. They're the only reason why I'm considering a Lovevery subscription.

Thank you! The worth of that play guide will really depend on how much previous knowledge you may have of playing with a child and how much time you have/want to invest in searching for that info.
The play guide I got contained developmental information that was in line with the information I also got from my pediatrician, What To Expext app, Baby Center App, and even my pregnancy app 😅 So nothing ground breaking there.
Then there is a section on how to use the materials, which they also have a video of on their own website, and you can see many families posting videos of their kids using these activities right here on TH-cam!
So the section that really is valuable in my opinion is their additional activities section...For me personally, none of those were all that unique, but I do have experience working as a teacher and have a few books with play ideas for babies that I've been referencing.
Stepping back to observe the child also prompted a lot of the suggested activities, like playing with the lights...because at that age Stella was busting out of my arms to see how the lights worked.
So if you tend to spend your free time looking up how others play with babies or baby play ideas, this guide won't offer much, in my opinion. If you're lost on how to entertain your baby outside of the materials, the guides will definitely give you ideas. But so would many of the play guide books out there.

Great insights. My son will be 5 months soon, so I will look at some of the options you provided.

Glad you saw something that could be interesting to your son! Let me know how he ends up liking them if you go with any of the options-it is always so interesting to see how different kids take to the same activities 😊

Thanks so much for comparing! I can't afford these kits and it's so great to see what some cheaper options are. My son loves the O-ball from Amazon which is only like $6! My in laws also found a large size and a riddle which he enjoys. Because of all the holes, it's easy for him to hold. Where so u find the baskets for the toys? The ones I find all seem cheaply made and ready to splinter. Thanks!

So happy to know this was helpful! We loved the O-ball and the same style rattler at that age! It was one of the first she was able to really hold!
I got a set of baskets from Montessori Services, and then another set of seagrass baskets from Amazon. Very happy with the quality of both. I added links to both and the trays in the description box just now!

$30 for the wobbler Canadian. Why are baby toys so expensive 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh wow do they show different pricing in Canada?😨 It's $10 USD here, which is closer to $13 CAD I believe?

Oh no! I was quite uncomfortable in front of the camera here so this was very unnatural speech for me. I've been working on slowing down the past several videos after feedback that my speech got too fast. Some people really appreciate how quick the videos are and some wanted a slower pace...seems I need to slow down a bit more 🤔
