I used to do 170km+ round trips through all this back in the day. Start at Newcastle and head through sugarloaf, Freeman’s, Kitchener and then have a quick snitty and beer at Cessnock pub and then head home 😎👌
Brilliant mate. That jump to rock crossing section you and I did the exact same thing, just landed hard and bottomed out right in all the jagged rocks 😆 ... and you were going so fast over the jumps with the stock suspension, that it was scary to watch! 🤘🏻
Yeah those jumps were tricky to land clean, I have just put my bike back together with new Tekniks suspension and going out this weekend to test them out!

Hello, I wanted to ask you about your suspension settings. I have a WR 250R as well but my front feels unstable, especially in deep sand (I know I have to lean back as far as possible). the front washes out as soon as I start to lean the bike and the rear stays planted (more than I want), difficult to powerslide. Maybe you have an idea for me? What are your sag numbers?1/3 of suspension travel? And how high are your forks? Thanks and regards
Higher tire pressure up front than the rear, the front should float on the sand and the rear will dig in. It's just a heavy bike, it will feel washy in sand
Everyone could always use better suspension, but you'll be surprised what happens when you use your body to absorb it, instead of relying on suspension
Well that would be quite a story, I bought the bike brand new in 2014, I spent a crap load doing it up, then it was stolen in 2015, I got paid out insurance for it, a subscriber noticed it on a insurance auction like 6 months later so I bought it back and then spent a bit more money on it. It is my favourite all time bike though for sure!

Anybody can jump a wr250r, but not so many people can land it right side up.
