As a Regine fan, it's so endearing to listen to the other ladies performing the Regine version of these songs. It just goes to show how influential that woman still is up to this day. From Never Say Goodbye, You'll Never Walk Alone, Mac Arthur's Park... they're all Regine versions of the songs. And I'm only 7 minutes in.
The government should hail Regine as a national artist. She set the standard so high for all the Filipino singers. And now we're known all over the world as One of the best singers and belters.
But because very powerful singers are rather typical to our Filipinos ears,it is hard for most of us to appreciate them as exceptional talents. We tend to look for what we don't normally see which are the bold and colorful music videos of Americans and even Koreans, memorizing and singing Korean songs and other languages so so we'll even if we don't understand a word except for annyeong and saranghe. 🤗🤗

Belting the 5th octave is a staple style amongst Filipina vocalists and naively regarded by the general audience as the standard of excellent singing. It's like the icing on the cake and a showstopper.
Never a dull moment when both of you are giving a reaction on filipino talents. As a proud filipino, I'm thankful for liking it. Hope you will continue reacting to their videos. To be honest, on my own opinion, good singers are not base on reaching high notes. As long as your voice touches people's heart, you deliver the lyrics in a soulful way and the music ( instruments used) should be well balance to the lyrics and the singer itself. Both of you have a nice voices. I saw some of your videos singing(Walaeska) / rapping( Efra) together and it's really good. Not all singers can sing high notes , yes I know. In the philippines, there are a lot of people who can sing so it's hard to get an applause or a standing ovation. You have to belt this high just to get that.
That last performance was done by one of the contestants from a previous singing contest segment in Eat Bulaga (Ph’s longest running noon time show) called “BakClash” which was a comedic spin-off of GMA’s singing reality search called “The Clash”. Bak-Clash” means “The Clash of the Gays” where all the contestants were gay men with female belting prowess .

They'll have a huge mountain pile of coconuts behind them, and you can watch them hack open the coconuts and pour them in one big container where it has the juice, sugar, coconut bits, and ice. It's so hugely accessible here anywhere that I find it ridiculous when five-star resorts or hotels charge so much for "coconut water." XD

7:49 is Pauleen Cambronero, a product of singing contests in the Philippines. I’ve seen contests here that starts with 12 contestants. All of them will sing. Then 2 gets eliminated then they all sing again. Then 2 gets eliminated until 2 contestants are left and will battle it all out. Imagine you will sing about 6 times and your sixth piece should be the killer piece.
Filipino's go to karaoke songs. Its either Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Regine Velasquez or Aegis songs. Plus Karaoke is everywhere in the Philippines. You would'nt believe but even in a funeral wake there is a karaoke.
