What a great idea to use up scraps. I've never done scrappy quilts. I will watch the video Kris made on your thrift store quilt. I love that series of hers.

Love it! I’ve been making more simple tote bags ( not quilted, so less bulk to pack for a cruise) for some clients that are travelling in May. These people are my friends first, clients second.

So pretty!! This is definitely the year of scraps, and your bag is perfect!! I haven't watched Kris's video yet, but will very soon.:) Thanks for the tutorial, and enjoy your bright and cheery tote!!♥️

I am really trying to keep my fabric purchases to a minimum this year. I kept two boxes and decided to use what I have!
Kris did a great job on the video! It is an awesome quilt!

@@sewbeitquilts Same! And using scraps is kind of addictive - to see what we can create! Looking forward to watching her video too!

Can't wait to try this! I am a long arm quilter so I have lots of batting scraps. Great way to use them. I might make the bag a little longer to use at the grocery store. Thank you for this tutorial!

I loved this. I've been doing a bit of crumb piecing on adding machine tape as well as with no additional foundation. I have a ton of batting steps from trimming up my quilts, and I think I'll forgo the paper and strictly gobwoth batting and see where that takes me. On to Kris's video on my lunch break! Thanks again!!!
