Reminds me of the argument against banning guns: “we can’t ban guns because people will just get them illegally” Well, hate to break it to you but that same argument applies to video games and quite literally everything else you try to ban.
@@excaliburofgachagames9241 Idk but banning things make innocent people arrested for basically no reason. We have so many issues in the US and we create 1,000 more on not worrying about them. Instead, we are focusing on the smallest things. WE ARE IN A GLOBAL F**#%*+ PANDEMIC

Bro you know how fast those people would get voted out if it actually passed. That'd be the easiest slam dunk of a political campaign. Make GTA sell again.
Yeah...no. Politicians will vote for whatever keeps the government in power. They never tell the truth, they only tell enough of a lie to not get in trouble. Constantly blaming video games and guns is a perfect distraction from the violence our government launches at other nations on a daily basis. As long as we focus on these absolute red herrings and not on what the government does, we will see bill after bill fail. It's not like the government is against wasting money for the spectacle, the blank check train doesn't stop. It's more important to blame and blame over fixing actual problems. Actual problems would take actual work, better to blame a boogey man and pretend like the actual problems don't exist. Mental health and bad parenting, fix those and violence drops nearly 90%. And we can keep the video games!!
nah dude it will break down, why not ride his house? There has to be a drivers seat some where, maybe its in his basement where he keeps his spine whip and all those kids.
This is what it feels like being a gun person and having people who understand nothing about guns telling you what to think about guns and making laws on something they don't understand
@@ArcticWolfOfficial well I was talking about the line of thinking not the thing itself. Obviously. Besides they are both products and like a m rated game they are both meant for adults who can make their own decisions and those decisions shouldn't be made by people who don't understand anything about the situation. So I mean I think they compare nicely when it comes down to it.
"It cant be our bad parenting, economy, bullying and society! It must be videogames because they are new, popular and strange to us old bags of dust and karens!"
It's easier to pick on video games because of the immersive quality, the novelty (is it novel after 40 years?), the allure, and the failure in modern parenting. Blaming literally everything and everyone else is just second nature at this point. How many child shooters had a healthy family life again? How many adult shooters were considered to be mentally stable? Seems like the actual problem is mental health and parents not getting their acts right, but maybe that's just me...and every other person who doesn't blame others for their mistakes...
@@ghostflames1501 I agree. People nowadays don't want to own up to their own shortcomings. And even if the reason why say for example a killer goes on a killing spree and it is even slightly because of a videogame they will try to pin it all on the videogame when in reality the kid probably had mental issues and trauma caused from the bad parenting and probably abusive behavior of the parents and only way of seeing how to end things is what he's familiar with and enjoys, that being videogames. But what do I know? I'm just a dumb ol kid right?
@@maximumforce8275 If we owned up to our shortcomings, we would have to change. Change takes energy. Many people are too afraid of changing into something or someone else because that means their original self wasn't good enough. I love parents that neglect their children, only to turn around and say 'I was neglected, and look how I turned out!' Exactly, look how you turned out! And you're about to make another broken and damaged person just like you! Blame on others is easier than blame on the self. Sure, some of it might be justified - you can learn an illegal skill in a game that was not available to you before the game was in your hand - but the end result is on the person. If someone can't tell the difference between a game and reality to the point they commit illegal acts IRL that they committed in the game, then why did that parent let that child play the game at all?! Mental health and better parenting would fix 90% of the violence right off the bat.
The person. As to which person, that depends on the circumstances which led you to shoot them. Because I don't know about you, I've been watching my rifle in the corner for months and it hasn't moved a single inch nor has it shot anyone.
That's interesting and all, but can we just talk about the insane luck of going into overtime just before the ball would've scored the winning goal at 7:20?

Call of duty shows kids what military life is like, and how to take an insult, so it should be lowered to an E rating.

@@maximumforce8275
If we owned up to our shortcomings, we would have to change.
