- Few if any NYC restaurateurs can match the success rate, productivity and longevity of Keith McNally. Do the math, starting with the legendary Odeon in 1980, followed by Cafe Luxembourg in '83, then Nell's, Lucky Strike, Pravda, Balthazar, Pastis, Shillers, Morandi, and Minetta Tavern. They all share in serving really solid food, obsessively great design and lighting and furnished with antiques he's collected, making them appear as if they've been there forever.
hands down the best restaurant focused show. mike gets it. it’s just so good.
Mike is the real deal. Love seeing these new episodes posted!
This is old, unfortunately, from around 2014 or so. Really wish we could get some new episodes. The NYC food landscape has changed a lot since these episodes and it'd be cool to see Mike cover new places. Seems like the pandemic basically ended this show.
Love this show.
Loved Real Food and Colameco's Food Show. But so disappointing, since covid hit, Mike has been relegated to only doing The Bite shorts between PBS food shows. Wish that somehow Mike can get a re-do of Real Food and showcase the great unsung establishments that were knocking outta the park food wise in NYC. I keep watching the old posts on his site.
let's haul out our pitchforks - free mike!
great episode thank you 🙏
This man is everything right with food TV because it’s Chef/Restauranteur TV
It would be nice to know when these were originally shot. Please put that up for us, thanks.
Thanks for the vid, nice rundown of the dishes!
I didn’t know Mike played rugby at CAL
