Glad you had a good break. My sister's mother-in-law lives in St. Augustine. For Thanksgiving it was just one of my other sisters and myself. I made stuffing with Field Roast sausage, mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and chocolate pie filling. So good! I was at Publix yesterday and the Muir Glen canned tomato products were BOGO so that brought the price down to $1.29 per can for the 14.5 ounce diced tomatoes. Excellent price for organic and cheaper that conventionally grown. I got 6 cans since I use it in tomato soup, tortilla soup, chili, etc. I hear you about not buying something just because it's on sale. I do it when it's something I use regularly, especially if it's an expensive product like the Field Roast sausage when Publix had it on BOGO about 3 weeks ago. I used it in the stuffing and will use it in sauerkraut soup. But I'm so disappointed in Publix. They quit carrying non-dairy plain yogurt in the small containers. I don't use it frequently but there are some recipes that call for it. And they quit carrying the Silk soy creamer. And other things. My favorite lunch recently has been homemade green olive hummus with steamed diced potatoes and a salad. Pumpkin snickerdoodles sound delicious! I haven't tried chia pudding yet. Thanks for mentioning those. All the best.
It’s such a beautiful city but it was so busy. Parts of downtown reminded me of the streets of Italy. ✨ So glad you got to enjoy some yummy food, chocolate filling sounds amazing! Recipe link? Been wanting to try that sausage, would you recommend? That really is a deal! Sometimes I truly cannot believe their deals, they’re so good! The main ones we stock up on on gardein, yogurts and plant milks oh and always their berries. But we always get tempted to walk up and down the aisles to see if we missed anything we wanna try and it goes downhill so fast 🤣🤣 I had no clue that plain yogurts were in small containers. I’ve always thought they came in the large one but that’s actually so much more convenient. I wonder if it varies by store. I need to check it out cause like you said sometimes recipes call for just a cup not a whole jar and then you’re left with the rest 🙃 & oh my gosh I loveeeee black olive hummus. It’s the besttt! I can’t do the green ones, but I gotta give them another chance. 😂 not gonna lie it’s the color that scares me off lol Thanks so much for your comment, these are truly my favorite! Feels like I know you! 🫶 Hope you have the best rest of your week ❤️☺️
I love how you have the videos in the background. That’s cool. Also, your vibe is more relatable. This will be my second time going plant based. I just watched the Twin Stanford documentary on Netflix. It motivated me to try again. Praying that it sticks this time 🙏🏽
Thanks! Wishing you the best this second time around, it’s about progress and not perfection 🫶 Yesss! We just saw the documentary too, they are so inspiring!
Hello Milly 👋🌿☕️, Glad you took some much needed time off for yourself,,, We live in a time where every second there's distractions... And there comes a time where we just get BURNED OUT, at times like this, i Spend more time in my bedroom on my recliner ,☝️With my little dog on my lap, looking out my window and 😊listening to Country music....PURE BLISS 🌻🐕/// Everything you prepared today was Great!! I will make the tumeric rice for my mom, she loves Tumeric. And i cannot wait to make the Chia pudding, i have all ingredients 💮, Thank ya Milly, Blessings 🙏🫶🍂🍃🍁🍃🍁
Thank you 🫶 that is so true, there’s always something going on, somewhere to be, something to do & sometimes we just need to rest. I used to try to implement a sabbath day for us and it worked beautifully & brought us much needed rest but then this thing came up and then another thing and that’s when I got overwhelmed😅 here’s a reminder to me to not do things in my own strength. I love that so much, something peaceful and enjoyable. Looks like I need to get myself dog and a recliner too 😉 what kind of dog do you have?? Love them so much! Can’t wait to get one ourselves in the future 🐶 I hope she loves it, it’s become a reoccurring side for us. So flavorful and turmeric is so beneficial for our health! It’s so good, especially served with yogurt. Today I prepped another batch but this time I made it with frozen mango instead of the blueberries 😊 Bendiciones 🫶☺️
@JoywithPlants Aww thank ya Milly, My little dog was a 2week old rescue , she is a beautiful mix of chihuahua and cocker spaniel, she's 9lbs, and is so so so , ladylike 😊🩷🐕, She's my little princess 🫠, She's 10 already. all my family loves her because she's so soft and gentle. I cannot take credit though, my Son is the one who rescued her and trained her for her first 2yrs, when he got married he left her with me because his wife had a rather large dog and my son feared they would not get along. So ,she came to me 💖🩷🙏🤗, /// I made the rice and my mom loved it, and so did I, I pack it for my lunch with a side of garlicky 🥦 😋, Girl the chia pudding is so refreshing, next I want to make it with coconut milk , yummy. /// Okay, well Milly thank you for taking the time to respond to us , Blessings to you and your familia 🙏 🥰🩷🍂🍁🍃☕️
