Titmus adjusted her breathing pattern from the 200 and 400 throughout this race, increasing the number of breaths-every-two before each four-no-breath stroke cycle
@@michaelrapson yes, thuth, in the last events of olympics tokyo 2020, FINA world Champioship of 2023/24 the chinese swimmers win a lot of medals, and give a great surprise for Australia, Hungary, USA and Olympic headquartel in Switzerland! Chinese swimmers are strong and determinated. You are Wright
Women's 200 fly: Dekkers swims a 2:06:31 with one kick per stroke cycle? What if she kicked two dolphins like everyone else...? I've never seen an olympian or a freshly qualified one not to do two kicks per stroke. Can someone explain? @ 29:47
Yes, when you rotate your body, the 11 and 11 o'clock turn into 12 o'clock, but if you entered with your arms 12 o'clock and rotated your body, you would be crossing over
Why are the QTs so tough ? Surely giving promising swimmers a go on the big stage would be beneficial longer term. Do high QTs discourage as well as motivate ?
I thought So as well, but check the program and he not. I think Cam Mcevoy has decided that for his 4th Olympics he wants to focus on the 50m. Plus his training for 100m can effect his 50m as Cameron McEvoy not a huge muscled swimmer which makes getting out in front of the 100m.
@kameleshwarancaroopanenish5214 the only way is in a relay ,( selectors choice)as ' Australian Trials ' for 100m individual event you need to do the qualification event.
I dont understand these QT. These are insane. Australia has taken a racing objective sport and made it into a subjective sport that requires coaches judging who gets to go and who doesnt. I do not like it.
Kyle was interviewed to tell he suffered from back spasm. Someone who deems the interview distrustful couldn't have watched his swim in the finals carefully, he couldn't taper his homestretch pace as he always does. Paris is tough for him to get on 100 free podium.....
Kyle swam a 47.75, let's wait and see how Caleb could do at US trials in a couple of days when we'll have a reasonable outlook in 100 free podium in Paris....
@@lucienma4638 Unfortunately Caleb is not going to defend his 100m Freestyle Olympic Title this year as he only finished in 3rd at the US Trials. He will get to compete at the Relay event in the 4x100m Freestyle by finishing in the top 4
Kaylee Mckeon's swim was a kind of fabulous~~^^
Yeah......I wish I kinda swam like that : )

Wow! That qualify time for Men’s 200 IM is insane!
Hello Aussies! from Las Vegas!
I saw swimmers from Korea and Ireland in these trials. Can understand
Dekkers looks like she's doing pulldowns all the way down the pool

Those record lines are so incredibly, EMBARRASSINGLY WRONG. They should either fix it or just not show it.
Shocked to see Emily Seebom! She just had a baby not long ago!
KYLE CHALMERS is a Beast!
Yes, but who is the next big thing with no others reaching the qualification in 100 metres men? Maybe Macevoy should race it.

i think lizzie does 2 it’s just weaker because why use extra energy? Might be wrong idk
Whys the QT for the 2 IM so difficult?
Coaches say to enter at 11 and 1 o'clock, or 10 and 2. Watch McKeown at 0:27 and tell me that holds up.

@@pedrogomes2399 look at her arm in relation to her body. It might not even be 12.
0:42 interesting, she does a vertical "S" (as if she's drawing an S on a vertical plane) with her hands when she pulls.

We are one of the greatest swimming country’s in the world, probably because we set that standard
I think only two swimmers per country are allowed in each individual event for Olympics? Could be wrong though.
Probably budget. If oz can’t compete for a medal, then why pay for extra athletes just to swim for fun. Airfares, accom, food… $$$$$
