      Matt is one of the few guys that can make odd time signatures sound natural. The other drummer that does that well is a guy named Neil.

    • @ILikeWafflz
      @ILikeWafflz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-zt2wc3uh1l You should take a look into how Gavin Harrison approaches odd time signatures. He's part of a number of projects (Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, King Crimson, 05Ric) and he makes the wackiest stuff flow like 4/4 or 12/8.
      Speaking as a hobbyist drummer that's always liked odd time signatures, and have always enjoyed Matt's feel and appreciated his mastery with making them flow, Gavin completely changed how I approached them with just one song: Cheating the Polygraph by Porcupine Tree. Anyone reading this should give that song a listen, he makes the 7/8 portions in it flow like butter.

I then pushed my way out of that pit of hell....but dude, if your out there somewhere and you read this i just want to say thank you.....thank you for saving my my life. I will make it count. .... Matt Cameron as always killing it on the drums. While every other drummer was playing it safe, Matt set himself apart creating interesting grooves and fills that made me as a young drummer go "That was cool, but WTF?" His playing made me a better drummer. He and Dave Abbruzzese were the absolute best of their time.

    True. The power of youth is gone, especially in the high registers. His low and mid-range vocals is still great and he's learned more technique to utilise the bluesy quality of these ranges. However, compared to rock singers his age (like Bon Jovi), Cornell is a fucking miracle. They haven't lowered the octaves of their older songs like Rusty Cage when they perform them live.

    This is a great recording and appearance! Now it’s all we have left I’m sorry to have to say! I’m still in shock that Cornell is gone! That is just Not right! WTF happened? How and Why did it happen? Why did he meet his end so soon! That just isn’t right! Gone Way too soon! I was Not ready for this one! It’s like a Gut Punch that you didn’t see coming. I took Cobains death hard! I was depressed for a year afterwards and it was difficult to pull myself out of that bad feeling that I had! His death was unexpected and early but this is like a body blow your Not ready for! It’s like someone hit me so hard that I got knocked down and can’t breathe now. It knocked the wind out of me! How do I recover from this?
    I don’t want to accept this outcome!
    I want him back! GodDamn it! I want it to all to be either a sick joke or some kind of mistake and to have him back healthy and happy! And for him to say sorry folks it was just a misunderstanding! I’m back and I’m fine!! Not this! Dead and Gone Scenario! We are losing our best and most talented people! This is like a waking nightmare! You know its bad but you can’t wake up and get back to where you were. Safe and warm undercover in bed! Instead your out on a ledge somewhere and in danger of falling off. What a horrid feeling of despair! Why Chris Why? Life’s Not Fair! This is Not Fair! Im Crying as I Write this. Now I have to wonder why your gone for the next 20 or so years until I die too? Will I get the answer then? I hope so cause I can’t accept this now!!
    I don’t want to! You can’t be gone already! I’m going to miss that Voice for the next 20 years too? Not Fair!
    No Way is that Fair! You are going to be missed by first your wife and children and then your many fans for the next 50 years!
    There’s Never going to another one like you! Just like there will never be another Kurt Cobain or another Prince! All of you Unique People and Talents! Like I said we’re losing our best people way too fast and early! It’s just Not Right! I guess I’ll have to accept it but I don’t want to and I don’t like it! Goodbye Chris 😭😩🥺😓😱😭😢😩☹️😓😥😰😭😢😩☹️
    Maybe I’ll meet you somewhere on the Astral plane someday and we can talk! I have a lot of questions to ask you but the main one is WHY? Why did you go
    So Soon? I’d like an answer! RIP
