you should do online Turkish lessons for foreigners. I've been struggling A LOT to find a good teacher that can actually speak good English - mostly neutral pronunciation - to teach me. I've been here for a year and my Turkish is just so basic lol
Arka plan ışıkları ve yazıların arkasındaki efektlerin uyumu ve görüntüsü gerçekten güzel bi hava katmış. Gerçekten günbegün kaliteyi arttırıyorsun. Bu da izleyenlerine gerçekten değer verdiğini gösteriyor
The distinction between formal and informal phrases in Turkish is basically the same as Romance languages, or German, or Slavic languages. Basically most European languages except for English. For me, an Italian, it’s simply sen=tu and siz=voi, both for formal and plural speech. Actually in modern Italian we mostly use Lei for formal speech, but Voi is perfectly understandable. Same thing for Tu vs. Vous in French, Tu vs. Usted in Spanish or Ты vs. Вы in Russian. Basically this lengthy explanation is necessary only for English speakers :)
Actually I'm now learning Turkish, so I'm asking you 2 things, but one of them to do. . 1. Create another TH-cam channel for those who learn Turkish. 2. Or monthly make 2 videos about Turkish language, for example, "Common phrases, or daily sentences.. ect"
@@generationoftheworld i speak kurdish and English, the language that i am working on is turkish, i started yesterday, hope to get my goal as soon as possible, we can practice together, if you don’t mind.

This was a very cool video! Lots of revision for me! I've been learning Turkish for six months and I can understand more than I can say right now but it's getting there. Looking forward to more videos like this? P.S. I know you teach English online, but do you also teach Turkish as a foreign language? Greetings from England!
Thank you Resh for this video, very helpful and to the point. One thing... the Closed Captions are not accurate for this video, just so folks know :) I say do like me and turn them off if they are not needed ^^
I have a question, I see some Turkish people (obviously in TV series 😂) says Meraba like they dont pronounce the "h". So I dont if I am hearing it wrong or it's an accent thing based on different regions
Meraba, nassın(nasılsın), ii sen?(iyi sen?)... These are usually spoken when talking to a friend or if you're not in a formal place. because it is easy to use
They are not the official pronunciations. You'll see the correct pronunciation when a newsreader or a voice actor pronounce it in the correct way. What i mean correct here is the official form that State's Turkish Language Society(TDK) determined. The official Turkish language is Istanbul dialect. People in Turkey generally try to speak correctly in Istanbul dialect but of course there are many other Turkish dialects too.
penso di no :) it requires different mindset than european languages. Once you learn, u r good to go like riding bike easy parts: flexible, dont have strict word order, no gender for nouns or adjectives, no definitive articles. word efficent that you dont have to add so many words to convey yr message. phonetic (easy to read) almost rule based lang. hard parts for western mind : verb conj. word order new words advanced grammar can be tricky as well. spoken language is easy going and care free. as long as u choose right verb, you can comunicate with natives. Many tourist or beginner dont use suffix prep etc. it is ok, nobody expects u to be fluent or dont look weird. the language is like lego. Choose wrong piece, or dont complete its ok. native will understand in a sec.
