He basically said this much in the Ryan Clark interview. While he'd love a ring, he's sore about lack of targets in the big game he just played.
@greenchile6554 but why is it INSANE tho? Justin Jefferson is getting 35 per. BA leads him in a couple categories. With WAY less opportunities. Please explain
@@TSQreacts Everyone takes Jefferson over this guy. He isn't going to find it so easy when defenses don't have to cover Kittle, McCaffrey and Samuel. Most teams don't have an offensive scheme as effective as SF. Whichever team pays this guy is probably going to regret it.

@deciuswtasby He can single handedly destroy their entire year. While showing up. And getting paid. It'd easy to be a cancer on a team. One bad apple and they aren't going anywhere.
Because Le’veon wanted to be paid like a wide receiver slash running back, he’s a bad guy? Deebo is getting paid how Le’veon wanted to get paid. CMC is getting paid like Le’veon wanted to get paid
This guy was going from $14mil this year to $26 mil offer from Niners and possibly more & he still wasn’t satisfied!!! It’s not about worth or respect, it’s about ego and someone planting the seed in his ear that he can get $35mil. I’m a Niners fan, and when it comes to greed I cannot stand it, he should have waited until he finished this new season with even better numbers and could have possibly had the $35mil. Or whatever he was wanting. Brock’s not even getting $1mil. and look at his humble attitude.
No other team that wants you is going to be SB ready besides the 49ers. You won't take $27M and actually compete for a ring? that's just wild. 49ers have you in the best possible spot.
He wants to be a Steelers and play for a great coach Mike Tomlin....and the Steelers won't give you a wide receiver in the trade and the 49ers are saying well we don't want to do a trade like that...
No other team will get to the super bowl and fail in a spectacular way like the 49ers. Perhaps he's aware Shanahan will find yet another creative way to blow it if they go back.
Well it's $26m & probably less once we know the details (Like how Amon-Ra's $30m is actually $28m). We know through TJ Housh who works with Aiyuk that he would've taken Amon-Ra's deal. The 9ers never intended to pay him once the WR market blew up. Instead of getting mad at the 9ers for misevaluating the WR market or not signing Aiyuk earlier, you got fooled by the 9ers PR into thinking Aiyuk's the bad guy. Why don't the 9ers do the Amon-Ra deal? Why is no one mad at Bosa for not taking a few million less to keep the team together? Why is no one mad that CMC & Trent got greedy to the point that the 9ers won't pay $4m more (which is market rate)? Surely Purdy will agree behind the scenes to take $4m less from his future $55-60m deal to keep Aiyuk.
Very wrong. If you gave Brandon ayuik a ceedee lamb type of target share he would probably be the best wr in the nfl. 81% of aiyuks catches went for a first down or touchdown. He’s def worth it.
Dude gets offered $32 million to Patriots, but they suck, so no. Gets offered $26 million to stay on championship contender…. says no. Is this dude crazy?! Stay FAR away from Buffalo 🙏🏻
Lol Buff ain't even in the conversation are they? Besides, yall just got done dealing with Diggs I doubt they'd go out and get Aiyuk. You all have young talent to evaluate so it'd be better to go with the soft reboot of your offense rather than taking a big swing (and a for sure miss) at trying to go the distance with Aiyuk
Many in NE think the Pats was a fake offer just so Kraft could say he tried. They probably kept the guaranteed money very low. Kraft has always been cheap and I doubt he would want to spend all that money on a guy that isn't going to take them to a SB. Hell, he wouldn't spend even when they were winning SBs.
Y'all just don't get it.... He wants to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers..... And we're not offering no more than 26 million and we're not giving up no wide receiver and no first rounders ....
I think the answer is clear. The Steelers have a history. Pittsburgh as a city is all about football. Those who played for Pittsburgh have nothing but respect for the organization. Yeah NE had a good 20 year run, but the organization isn't what made them good. It was Tom Brady. When you compare the Steelers and the Patriots... only one organization is progressing through development and that's the Steelers.
Glad it didnt happen as a pats fan, I’d rather see them develop our young WRs but man I don’t think ayuik is worth all that you have to keep in mind how much coverage CMC,Deebo and Kittle soak up that helps him get open on the pats he will be constantly doubled
Or wait until a contender loses their top target before the trade deadline. At this stage in the offseason, trading him for less than top compensation makes no sense other than „doing right by BA“.
@@mickypain2959no doubt. He wants HIS “proper” compensation but not the niners. Screw this guy. He is the problem, not the niners. I'm not sure that the 49ers need a WR in return. They need an OT, and you know they love pass rushers. If they don't get one of those then it's likely going to be multiple high draft picks.
Dime a dozen. If you have the Guy at quarterback, your receivers don’t matter……..if you Don’t have the Guy at quarterback, your receivers don’t matter. Move on and draft the next one.
I’d like him to stay with the 49ers, but he isn’t worth breaking the bank. He wasn’t getting open in the Super Bowl with single coverage. He is a second tier receiver; which is still extremely good.
Definitely true based on history. Right now though I think Pitt is kind of a nowhere team. They’ve got to bite the bullet and be bad for a year or two to get their next stud QB.

The 49ers cannot mortgage the future to pay Aiyuk. If BA wants to be on a championship team he needs to take the deal. The 49ers hold the cards. What's their incentive to trade him away without something worthwhile in return?
He wants to go to a contender, but too stupid to realize no contender needs him or has the money to overpay him. You aint going to WAS, and Pittsburgh dont want you at the 49ers price, and now you have to realize $26M is actually a great contract for a guy who isnt asked to do $30M worth of work. They didnt lowball you, and they invested in you for the long haul, and you made this situation way worse than it needed to be.
This definitely reminds me of the KC Chiefs and Tyreek trade to Miami. Tyreek's ego got the best of him because he was unhappy about the lack of targets and wanted more money. Now, he has the money but he definitely misses the arm talent of Patrick Mahomes. If you're Aiyuk, you need to look at it from the point of view of the 49ers. It's extremely difficult to get a high salary and go to a winning team that can [always] go deep in the playoffs. I'm taking the $26 Million and staying on the 49ers because they have a very good QB, a very good HC, and a very good supporting cast. In short, you're not getting traded to a team with a very good QB, very good HC, and a very good supporting cast, and getting your dream payday.
Hope he gets his money, but in my opinion I would need to see him outside of the 9ers offense to really see how good he is, I just think he might not be that dude on another team, but I could be wrong we will see tho
@@Darius-yi6wg he won't be 32 to 35 million dollar good if he goes to a sorry team with a rookie qb. But those are the teams with that kind of cap space
If the Steelers offer him even $30 million a year, he should just take it. He will have Pickens and Warren to draw attention away, so he would still get a chance for easy catches. It won’t get better than that
Steelers makes sense for him. QB situation alone is better than his other options. Having both Russ and Fields significantly increases the chance he has a solid QB because if one sucks they can still try the other. Better odds than rolling the dice on the rookie QB in New England for sure.
Even if the QB situation is garbage, we’ve seen how DJ Moore performed with Justin Fields playing at a subpar level. If Aiyuk is really as great as he thinks he is, he would find a way to still be transcendent in Pitt
This is likely a blessing in disguise for the Patriots. They don't have an elite number one WR, but the fact he turned down the Pats offer is stupid for him. He has played in a Shanahan offense that has CMC, Deebo, Kittle etc. He complained about the 49'ers not paying him, but then when a team does he says he wants to go to another winning team. Aiyuk is good, but he isn't an Alpha - thank god the Pats aren't paying him 32+ million a year.
Eagles fan here, I’m curious to hear what you guys think because I’m in an echo chamber here in Philly.. who is better and by how much? Devonta Smith or Brandon Aiyuk?
he's gunna set a bar for all players, regardless if this works in his favor or now. TBH I can see this type of move that will force league wide changes regarding contracts. I strongly believe we'll see a modification to the salary cap rules in the next few years thanks to these ridiculously inflated QB rates.
As a Pats fan it pissed me off. Gave him the best offer by a longshot and I think he's being shortsighted with our team. Still got a great defense and are getting younger and more talented on offense. If Maye hits Aiyuk will regret his decision big time.
Simple for the Niners, play the year out & then tag him, I think the league has seen from JuJu, Bell, AB etc it you sit you out the year you are basically done. Aiyuk can chose to be paid like a #1 or be on a winning team, any team that can offer both will have a stud QB on a RC deal which would be stay in SF or go to Houston & Houston are loaded at WR so won't be interested. A large part of Brady's success was due to the fact that he realised he needed to take less money to have a winning team around him & it's no shock that until the very end of his career when guys would play with for pennies on the $ to ring chase his most successful seasons were when his cap hits were minimised
As 49er fan, if they end up trading him now, and it isn't an instant upgrade for the team THIS year, than the team are clowns, they could've traded him pre draft and improved the team, trading him now instead of just making him play out his contract would be clown behavior
So pretty much, no matter what they do now would be considered clown behavior because the best they'll get is draft compensation unless they can deal him to Cleveland and get Cooper in return, which I highly doubt is gonna happen.
Pittsburgh is a window that is now open for Super Bowl honestly and for a long while if Fields pans out. Immediate if Wilson is even how he played on Denver which is 4 times better than Pittsburgh qb play last year. Plus Tomlin he’s the guy you want to play for and a better fan base.
It is getting close to the norm. 100 million dollars will get you a QB with no championship appearances and 1 WR that has not proved to be an individual game changer.
I suspect the big issues for the 49er's are Trent Williams current situation and Brock Purdy's upcoming contract. On one hand these aren't Aiuk's problems...but on the other hand they are as they affect what the 49er's feel they can pay Aiuk and still maintain the quality of the team. I wish him the best. I don't believe it will be with SF.
It’s pretty simple. Yes he wants his bag now. But he also wants his NEXT bag. If he goes to an unstable situation (especially QB wise) w/less weapons, he will not perform as well, directly affecting his ability to get that next huge deal down the road.
@@49ers5xchamps2 Sorry dude, fear of injury could easily be in his head. He wants his money and as of yet, he doesn't have it. The smartest thing he could probably do is just refuse to play and accept whatever fine. That always ends up in a trade. He should probably take one of the deals now. The 49ers shouldn't even want this clown back.
They’re saying this is an unsalvageable situation as if Brandon IU can hold out for the entire year. Le’Veon Bell did that and we see how it worked out for him. The season starts in a few weeks. he doesn’t have enough time to learn a new playbook. This is stupid unless the 49ers are solely doing this to determine what his market value is.
@RazielSoulreaver7 we are not giving him away for just any Ole thing. You're getting a 26 year old wide out about to hit his prime years .. 9ers have all the leverage. If 9ers really wanted to, they could franchise him for the next 2 years .
Good Receivers are getting to the point where they are found in all 3 days of the draft like runningbacks. And teams will take youth and control before overpaid and diva.
He knows that but they also know they’re gonna have a hell of a tough time going back to the Super Bowl without him. Especially after McCaffrey touched the ball 320 times last year I don’t think he’ll make it through this year. Niners rain is coming to an end
The media keeps talking about Aiyuk, I get it, but for the 49ers the reality is they don't have Trent Williams in camp right now and that's a much bigger problem. They don't need to trade Aiyuk. They have no rush to get something done. He's under contract and will have to play out that contract and then they could tag him and still pay less then he wants.
Really important to keep front and center is that he turned down New England AND Cleveland. Both offered over 30 million. Seems like he wants to go to Pittsburgh for some social reason.
He's a total diva now. If you want to compete, you gotta take less money, if you want more money you gotta go to a team that's not competing. Competing teams are stretched to the limit with their cap space and can't afford to pay top dollar for a player that's not the top at their position (even then they often have to give up these players).
@@mikesmith6838 it really hasn’t if that was the case than we wouldn’t have a new highest paid QB or other position player each year. I always suspected that maybe BA was a little miffed that he didn't get the attention Deebo does. BA is great and he's been solid but, it's Deebo, Kittle, and CM who get the attention. that's just wild.
What about dallas,rams or kc?

Even if the QB situation is garbage, we’ve seen how DJ Moore performed with Justin Fields playing at a subpar level. If Aiyuk is really as great as he thinks he is, he would find a way to still be transcendent in Pitt

If Maye hits Aiyuk will regret his decision big time.
So happy he turned it down, 32 mil is wild. Most teams that are good are paying or about to pay a lot of players.
