I don't know their vocal training everyday but apparently base on their interviews they can really understand each others vocal range. Even if one member sing a song impromptu they know when or where to harmonize..

SB19 has the most perfectionist leader, her dad even shared that once Pablo said "it's good" it means it's really really good. And I think that's one of the reason why all of them become so disciplined when they performed. Another thing, you guys mentioned that 'they might be perfectionists', I think yes, their leader, Pablo (John Paulo Nase) their composer, lyricist, producer, line distributor, etc is very strict when hitting notes. As per the other interviews they had before, they mentioned that when Pablo hears some off-tune, sharps, and flats, he will automatically react to it and polish it. Well, The Leader Pablo is very perfectionist, other members say that if they get out of tune, Pablo will look at them like 🧐 haha, and they also show that in recording Stell's part in What The Making Film. You should watch that. Even the main vocalist Stell needs to go on repeat recording until Pablo's ears are satisfied..haha PABLOs ear in music is really topnotch
Pablo, is really strict even with Stell when they are recording he is a Virgo, a perfectionist by nature. He distributes lines for their songs & writes the lyrics with his co-members in mind, that's why their songs are good because Pablo, is a well rounded artist himself he writes, arrange songs for his co-members and their harmonies to showcase their strength vocally. They are a group not an individual performer when they sing they don't compete with each other but compliment each other. That's why I stan this boys SB19, the 1st one in my lifetime , because they deserve it. MAHALIMA, iwagayway ang watawat, hanggang sa huli 💙🇵🇭🤗 my bias is also Pablo, Efra . 💕👏😊🔥👍
Each and every event that they had before the pandemic, they always arrive at the venue hours before the call time, to rehearse and make sure to check the mics that they will be using. And the fact that they're singing just like they really are performing already.
Before becoming artists, SB19 was under their agency as performers. And for years of no progress in the industry, they've performed in hundreds events where audience were like 5 people, 10, 20 people. There's even a video of them performing in a small event with three mics. Imagine 5 people performing with 3 microphones. That has gotten a lot of attention from lots of people. They have to make the most out of that performance. In short, they're so used to performing in places where everything is against them hence why their current excellent performing skills. Btw, Ken is the one doing bass often.. everywhere, everytime haha

aside from learning singing at early ages thru karaoke, one more advantage of filipino singers is that mall shows, town fiestas, corporate and private events, restaurants, among others, love hiring live singers. there are endless platforms where they can sing live and hone their craft. in sb19's case, their korean handlers always book them in events esp. in the korean and east asian communities in the philippines. that's why they are pro at live performances. but they keep on improving! justin and josh improved a lot since their debut...

Once upon a time, they used to perform live inside malls with the audience screaming and singing along with them - all without in-ear monitors bc they couldn't have one yet. Experiences like this could also have influenced their dynamics and control. They had to adjust and practice disciplining themselves to compensate for it.
*the fact that SB19 excel at BOTH songwriting/composing and performing is what makes them BRILLIANT and INCREDIBLE musical artists. they can convey what's on paper through their talent and skill, they can bring a song to life because they are well-rounded artists for whom performing is wedded in to their artistry. this is why they treat the stage with utmost respect because for SB19 showmanship and the spectacle of performance aren't just afterthoughts, they know that PERFORMANCE is a massive part of an artist's CREATIVE IDENTITY. soooo excited for BITZ later aaaaack* *thank you waleska and efra for this wonderful RV*
Hola Sibz, You gotta be watching their vlogs (mostly posted a year ago) so you may rhyme with them on how they practice/prepare their acts and how funny yet still creative and talented are they with their missions (in a form of games). 😁
I got to watch their interview with Miss Toni Gonzaga and so i now get to understand how they naturally achieve all the necessary nuances they have to have to achieve what they're doing. They talked about the hardships they had to go through, continuously training everyday for 3 years even if it seemed they were going nowhere. There was a point they quit but Stell stayed on and later on the rest came back. I guess those 3 years made them as well rounded as you said and formed their understanding of each other and forever formed that bond they have.
I started here this morning and now it's 2am and I've spent the whole day watching reaction videos to them (mostly to Mapa, love love the song) and I came back to watch this again coz now I know the names and faces 🤣😅 I can finally see who's who when you make comments lol

Speaking of their amazing harmonization, I just remember their Rolling Stone Twitch interview. They suddenly jumped into a harmony and the host asked if that was rehearsed. Haha. I just love them so much! Thanks for always giving your honest insights about them!

aside from learning singing at early ages thru karaoke, one more advantage of filipino singers is that mall shows, town fiestas, corporate and private events, restaurants, among others, love hiring live singers. there are endless platforms where they can sing live and hone their craft.
in sb19's case, their korean handlers always book them in events esp. in the korean and east asian communities in the philippines. that's why they are pro at live performances.
but they keep on improving! justin and josh improved a lot since their debut...

Once upon a time, they used to perform live inside malls with the audience screaming and singing along with them - all without in-ear monitors bc they couldn't have one yet. Experiences like this could also have influenced their dynamics and control. They had to adjust and practice disciplining themselves to compensate for it.

You gotta be watching their vlogs (mostly posted a year ago) so you may rhyme with them on how they practice/prepare their acts and how funny yet still creative and talented are they with their missions (in a form of games). 😁
I got to watch their interview with Miss Toni Gonzaga and so i now get to understand how they naturally achieve all the necessary nuances they have to have to achieve what they're doing.
They talked about the hardships they had to go through, continuously training everyday for 3 years even if it seemed they were going nowhere. There was a point they quit but Stell stayed on and later on the rest came back. I guess those 3 years made them as well rounded as you said and formed their understanding of each other and forever formed that bond they have.
I started here this morning and now it's 2am and I've spent the whole day watching reaction videos to them (mostly to Mapa, love love the song) and I came back to watch this again coz now I know the names and faces 🤣😅 I can finally see who's who when you make comments lol
