hi Waleska and Efra!!! Katrina Velarde has been posting on her channel again. she recently did a performance as a guest for an online event. she performed the following songs: 🔵 CAN'T TAKE THAT AWAY (Mariah Carey) 🔵 LIPAD NG PANGARAP (flight of your dreams)
From what I heard and know, Pablo belongs to a nuclear family. His dad works abroad, 5 siblings and he’s just a creative soul. He said he is very critical of himself that’s why he tends to have self-doubts. He’s a perfectionist so he’s so self conscious that other people might not like his craft but he has to let go of that part of himself and set his true self free. His mom once told someone I watch here on YT that Pablo keeps himself locked up in the bathroom because that’s where he can compose songs. That he told his mom that lyrics just come to him and he could imagine himself in a world that his compositions present. He is such a genius.
Yeah . He is a trully genuis .... and he's so talented and i'm proud of him ....we love him not just an A'tin but also as individual person coz his lyricist is on point and relatable to alot of people..
Pablo is very fond of wordplay or portmanteaus - combining two words to mean something new- most SB 19 song titles are either portmanteaus or unique words laden with meaning that do not necessarily exist in the Filipino dictionary e.g, tilaluha (tila+luha), What (Watawat or flag/What ever you stand for), Ikako (IKAw or you and aKO or me), Mapa (MAma, PApa/MAta or eyes PAa or feet) and so on. His original name Sejun is wordplay from his surname NaSE and his first name John or JUN.Even the SB19's Fandom name A'tin is a wordplay well thought out by Pablo - stands for the number 18 (the number behind 19), Atin which is the Tagalog word for "ours" to signify patriotism, and the A' is highlighted to pay tribute to their first ever fandom - Aurum -with 50 or less members. La Luna is the same - other than the literal meaning - it is also a wordplay of Tagalog words Lalo-Na which means "especially". Indeed, Pablo is a lyrical genius.and an ultra gifted artist.
There are 2 personalities here - one who was chained by his fears, worries, depression, world judgement for so many years; and the alpha who broke free and unleashed the beast in him. The alpha version is unafraid and ready to devour anyone who goes in the way. In a sense, the song is inspiring us to break free from what chains us and unleash the beast in us - be an alpha taking control of your life. In the end, it was revealed that he has the keys all along. Only you can free yourself. I call this a lyrical rap with storytelling and theatrical acting. He is really a genius. He is my only bias and I am so proud of him 🙂
From what I learned from what Pablo shared, he went through a time of depression and self doubt. Remember when they are starting in their career there are many rejections. Pablo among the 5 members trained the longest in ShowBT. For years he has been training and they formed this group only to disband. Stell stayed. Josh and Justin left. Ken was not yet there at that time. Tita Grace- Pablo's mom- said in an interview on Twitter Space that the disbandment really hit hard on Pablo. He felt depressed. For days he just locked himself in his room. Pablo also mentioned in their interview with The Juans that Josh texted him and encourage him to come back, at first he disregarded Josh's messages but eventually gave in because of his belief in his dreams. Then Ken was chosen to be the last member to complete the group we now know as SB19. I think this song is inspired by what Pablo has gone through.
@@m34nestmayndplanner98 and remember on their interview when What? was released? He referenced to the Moon being the one that gets light from the Sun and even though her light came originally from the Sun, the Moon still serve its purpose. And Pablo can relate to that when he said "Di man ikaw pinakamagaling, may magagawa ka pa rin"
After listening to this song for a number of times, I'm confident I've cracked the code. I now know the message. The choice of title is interesting, a bit of a mistery until you recall Pablo's fascination with the moon which he revealed in his interview with The Juans, if I recall right. He said the moon does not have a light of its own but borrows from the sun but it does it's job well of illuminating the night. This is telling. The word play is sick though.
the english translation of La Luna's lyrics doesn't do full justice on how beautifully written this song is. how lucky are we to live in the same era & age as someone who can write sublime pieces of art in our native language.
Just a note, Pablo majored in English and according to his Dad, he would have graduated Cum Laude if he wasn't a shifter from another course..Sometimes he posts snipets of poems that he wrote.
It is so amazing how different every SB19’s members are when it comes to musicality but they always sounded as one when they sing together. They fit each other perfectly.
I think your interpretation about Pablo is correct. He’s chained his real self for a long time. He always wanted to be a solo artist. His real sound is very different from SB19's, La Luna is his sound. He withheld himself for so long when he became the leader of SB19. But now that the group is pretty much established, he's able to release the beast in him.
Favorite line: "Binigay ang tanging susi na meron ako sa Kanya." My POV: sa Kanya refers to GOD. When Pablo surrendered everything to Him, that motioned the beginning of La Luna.
Artistry was not put into waste with these two. Critical reactors yet very appreciative and credits artists and appreciates them for their own identity.
Pablo is pulling out of our comfort zones... he speaks of depression, fear, self esteem... all in dark dark themes... so much unlike the cheery happy #SB19 materials... pablo is indeed a genuis
Passionate, prolific, and profound, Pablo is known to wear his heart for everyone to see and take inspiration from. Anchored by this purpose, the singer, songwriter, and producer doubles down on drive, vulnerability, and ambition, expanding his ever-evolving struggles and realization in a truly rousing release.
This is what a reaction video should be! There are so many inputs here that add to the experience of witnessing Pablo’s art! Madddd respect to you two!
I soooo love Pablo, even though I'm not from freezer (Pablo's fanbase). He always makes me so amazed by his artistry. He's a very rare type of artist and he deserves so much respect. Can't breath because of 'La Luna'. I'm so inlove with this kind of genre that's why it really hit hard to me when I first listened to this song. Uh I don't know what to say anymore.
#SB19_PABLO is brilliant. Pablo is genius. Talent. Versatility. How he expresses himself and his lyrics are to the next level. I am totally shocked but completely amazed by Pablo. Love it
Pablo's compositions and lyrics will make you think thoroughly and dig deeper. He doesn't give direct message. You have to understand beyond the literal meaning to it. His word plays are always awesome! He has done it in many of SB19 songs. He is a genius. 🔥
“To live a creative life , we must lose our fear of being wrong”…Anonymous…..just sharing….Pablo is one of a kind lyricist….I’m impressed !!!…I’m so proud of him 💙🇵🇭…. Thanks for your reaction.
His indeed a genius lyricist. But I love the metaphor stated in Filipino/tagalog, because the depth of the messages are preserved. They are more piercing and striking directly to your heart than the translation in English. Filipino language is really a special and a beautiful language by itself.
Yes I love the Tagalog language, more than Bisayan, and that’s hard for me to say as someone who’s dad is a native Bisayan speaker and I’m proud to be part Bisayan ♥️
This debut song of Pablo that he released was a surprise to many including me. I didn't expect it to be a rap all over. I thought it would be about the moon in the previous teaser we saw. It's creepy, scary background & music. I later noticed that it's about himself especially during the time SB19 had just started but they decided to disband because of discouragement that nothing is happening, they having financial problems, family problems, etc. Pablo experienced anxiety & depression that he locked himself in his room, not wanting to see & talk to other people. He was so sad of what is happening to their group & his dream of being an artist won't come true. He usually wants to be alone especially if he is doing something like composing. He doesn't want to be praise . He feels he is not talented, that what he does is not enough. He doesn't even answer Josh calls wanting him to return & to complete the group,to continue what they've started. But after some thinking & turning to the Lord, where in the rap he said he will only give the only key to Him, refers to the Lord. Finally, he decided to see his members & the SB19 group continue fighting any hindrance, any bashers, negativities they will have along the way. And now we see them getting popular, doing their very best in all their performances. They now ignore any bad comments about them ,as if their hearts turned to stone as to this things. He now accepted his flaws & became brave to go out of his comfort zone, show what he wants to do as in composing songs, style of singing, creating music. He loves reading books & reading poetry books .This is how we see him here playing with words having dual meanings & he wants us to dig deeper & get the true meaning, message in his song. He is such a very talented person. They are 6 in the family,he being the 2nd son & stands as the eldest after his big brother got married. His father works abroad as an Overseas worker, her mother a plain housewife. His parents used to be lead singers in their church & also his father was a singer & songwriter too in his young age, thus he inherited his love for singing & Song writing. His sisters mentioned this in one of their you tube video.
Just a little correction, there are seven of them in their family. Their mom and dad, and five children - the oldest, Pablo, Josue, and their two sisters.
Pablo turns the P-pop music world upside down. we used to hear music about good vibes or danceable like K-pop cutee and sweet . But this one is something that will make you to think, reflect and go deep. this is the real world that nobody wants to tackle and PABLO did. That's Brave and very creative as well This is fire.
My gosh, you have no I idea how I stayed up all night for a couple of days since its release because I was really looking forward to your reaction to this. Now it happened! Thank you so much! Pablo being a GENIUS lyricist is such an understatement. All of SB19's songs were written by him but he would always say it's a collaborative effort. That's how humble he is. Actually all of them are. They never take the credits for themselves alone. You'll just see it in the credits of the MV who did what to see actual names. And it's always been JOHN PAULO NASE you would see for ALL the lyrics. Collaborative effort might only be true in the sense that (I could be wrong) Pablo probably just needs ideas for a plot or a storyline and the 5 of them would brainstorm. From there, he writes the lyrics ALL BY HIMSELF in the case of SB19 songs. Take for example what he did with MAPA. He just randomly asked Stell what he wanted to tell his parents when Stell was doing his laundry. Haha! Stell realized that he's doing the laundry by himself now unlike before when his mom used to do it for him. Perhaps that's the idea behind the line "MOM, DAD, TAKE A REST, LET ME DO IT" or "MA, PA, PAHINGA MUNA, AKO NA". Pablo turned Stell's message into a TIMELESS MASTERPIECE! However, this piece, along with all of his other unreleased solo stuff were ALL HIM, written probably even way before he became an SB19 member. Just waiting for the right time to be released and I cannot wait for them all.
Salute to Pablo, very mysterious song but really I'm gasping for the true meaning !!! I was thinking the meaning of La luna is about his flight/experience pertaining to his success ( flying high high ) moon is up & even this successes ,he remain on the ground meaning he'll stay humble !!!
He is a genuis indeed ,we proud of him and whatever he do and wherever he go we are all here supporting and loving ..and ofcourse sb19....thank you for RV.. God bless you ..
Mahal ko kayo magkapatid, love u guys subra and thank you for loving our language, music and more thank you soooooo muchhhhh🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰God bless you🥰🥰🥰
I love how you guys are always so invested and very mature on your reviews! It's refreshing. Thanks for appreciating our leader's talents as he truly deserves! More power to your channel!
Thank you Waleska and Efra for your great analysis as always. And yes Efra you did give justice on interpreting the lyrics. I remember from an interview Pablo did mention that there was a time he got depressed and just lock himself up, didn't eat, and did some things that he is not proud of. I think that's what inspires this song. I can't also wait for what's next from Pablo. 😊🤙🏽
Watching you two banging your head it gives me a hype vibe that i bang my head also even i watch it already for i think 100 plus since yesterday. Thank you efra and waleska
The Philippines have been called the social media capital of the world, because most of the social media users have an extraordinarily high usage time of about four hours per day. Additionally, they are known as early technology adopters, as well as being highly internet-savvy.Aug 12, 2021
Thank you waleska and efra. Pablo is such a genius. Amazing singer, producer, actor even in rap and dancing 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥Sb19 is such a multi talented artist 💙💙💙 excited for the other members what they’ve got 😊
This is what u called "RAP" with full of meaning... Thank u so much for this reaction.. This Guy, Pablo, is a true Gem, insanely talented.. Hope All Filipinos, like u guys, will learn to appreciate this precious talent...
Same! After watching the video i also read the “pablo” in a loud and very low voice😅,,its just like i had really enjoyed watching it, he is really amazing!
We Are just caught unprepared !!! SURPRISED! !!! Thanks to PABLO he definitely Put Voice on all the People who are Containing themself Like me to Try and Explore Things that Worries what the World will Say or Think . This is a MASTERPIECE 👏👏👏👏👏 SLMT for this RV.
Been waiting for this, you guys always deliver. I haven’t seen any interview about his creative process. There was a video of him when he was composing “Ikako” but that was like a snippet. He is different among the young blood of Filipino songwriters (mainstream at the moment, mostly are solo artist) as he is not just a solo artist but also pretty much behind all of SB19’s discography. How does an artist like himself write, someone who is not “boxed” in one genre. Would love to see him in your podcast.
If my memory serves me right, I think his creative process was discussed in this interview but it was more focused on their song What?.. th-cam.com/video/hD6jNFIn_Kg/w-d-xo.html
I've been waiting for your reaction, coz both of you have much experience and knowledge about music and thank you for sharing your thoughts about this song, coz it's hard to process such deep lyrics and cryptic messages in the video itself. Thanks guys. P.S Pablo is also fascinated of moon.
Been looking for your rv since it's released, excited when i saw your recommendation, yeah Pablo is a lyrics genius, the world need to know more of him
I always believe in him and everything he do will be one of a kind masterpiece. Each is different on its own. He is that kind of person we should all glad to be in the same era graced by his music.
Waleska & Efra, I am your fan. I just love how you appreciate Filipino artists. And aside from being both stunningly gorgeous, your reactions, be it for Pinoy videos or not, are always spot on and very informative. You really talk with a lot of sense. You deserve a million subscribers or more.
There are people who have a complete, caring, and loving family but still managed to keep everything on their own including their emotions and feelings. Pablo is one of those. These people are kind of people who find it tough to open up to people even to their family and friends.
Perfectly sick music #LaLunaPABLO 🐺🌑always great reaction👍🏽 Pablo stated, “We all have flaws and we need to accept those imperfections because those are what make us who we are.” Self-love and acceptance are important for all of us to learn and strive for and it's all summed up in this debut track.
He said that he followed the usual go to school, get a job path but something was missing and when he gave up music for a short time he felt like he was being shackled and the him I think is God because he did talk about being in a depressed state and his faith is what got him through
Been waiting for you to react his song. .🥰 What I like about him aside from the fact that he is a great lyricist, his voice. Especially in WHAT song on how he started it with a growl sound. I find it great. His voice can do the growling but it can be sound angelic too. I find a little EZMil in him but more.. I don't know how to put it. It just sounds great to me..
I just noticed on the last part of the video that he is in cuffs but on the other hand He has the key , it makes me really realized that this song represents that only you yourself can really allow your inner thoughts or innerself to be free , most especially for some people who is struggling sometimes when it comes to thoughts or battles in life when your biggest enemy is your own thoughts it is really hard . But i really appreciate this song it really has deep meaning . So for some people just believe in Yourself you can fight your own battles ❤ pablo's thoughts are really complex.
I love how both of you appreciate Pablo as a great lyricist. I like how you explained your understanding and translations of his music video. Thank you for being so real in reacting their videos :)
His latest interview on Myx Ph that his inspiration on writing compositions is that its his personal struggles: He is not vocal when it comes to his feelings and thoughts that's why he wrote all his unkept feelings by writing compositions as he says that it is his DIARY that's why his lyricsm is very forward, direct and unfiltered. He fancies cinematic and theatrical way of music that tells a lot of story while singing.
Listening to thier stories maybe the best way to understand most of the songs that they made. Also La Luna was written last 2019, so the experience and story that he portray on the song and mv was him back in 2019 . You can listen to them sharing their back stories with The Juans on the TheJuans channel, and also they have deep conversation that you can learn from them .
I think the inspiration for this song is also what he said on their KwentoJuan interview where he said that during the time when he was so down, he did so many "unspeakable things". Maybe that's why he chained himself so as not to let out that side of him anymore. He made a comfort zone where he can do things albeit in a limited way. But now that he has tamed that beast in himself which means he is stronger now (mentally and emotionally), he can also let out that beast and use it to "devour" those doubters around him and those who judged him before.

Is Pablo a middle child?
Wow, this is a Masterpiece. Better late than necer, so happy to have found pablo's music!❤❤❤❤
la luna = the moon (español)
lalo na = especially (tagalog)

This has so much NF's influence and Pablo did mention that he's one of rappers that inspires him
Pablo turns the P-pop music world upside down. we used to hear music about good vibes or danceable like K-pop cutee and sweet . But this one is something that will make you to think,
reflect and go deep. this is the real world that nobody wants to tackle and PABLO did.
Waiting for all to be release soon, thanks sa infos
..the MV..it's like him letting us take a sneak peak of his mind then in the end, it's like him, closing it again after showing us what's inside him..
Salute to Pablo, very mysterious song but really I'm gasping for the true meaning !!! I was thinking the meaning of La luna is about his flight/experience pertaining to his success ( flying high high ) moon is up & even this successes ,he remain on the ground meaning he'll stay humble !!!
Wales& efra so smartbut pablo is so talented keep safe guys and god bless

Pablo is a genius!
Pablo is a genius! Though he doesn't want to be called one, I guess that's just how he is!
Pablo the beast unleashed!! An exhilarating, high caliber performance!! More songs to come please!!!
This is the RV I've been waiting for!! Yes! I love the new in take and interpretation to this song. Love it. Thank you always, Wlaeska anf Efra!
The translation can't even do justice to the wit and wordplays. I'm blown away with how brilliant Pablo's mind works.
I love how you guys are always so invested and very mature on your reviews! It's refreshing. Thanks for appreciating our leader's talents as he truly deserves! More power to your channel!
I got goosebumps..just watching your reaction..thank you so much for these..
A'TIN again here for my bias Pinuno Pablo 🌭 👍💙🤗🇵🇭 Love your RV's 👏💕
very spot on Efra, Pablo is breaking out and we will see that beast in his solo
Efra and waleska understood the assignment 🥺🥰
Pablo is a story teller and an inspirational artist that I admire so much. I love your reaction to this. Thanks
Thanks for this! Pablo is such a genius and this song is a masterpiece. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So I came across this - again. And I must say (when I should've said then when I first watched this), with the interpretation, you nailed it Efra! 🤘
Just sublime words from
Efra.

Pablo is the lyricists of all SB19 songs except some of their Ads. 🌭💙🤗
I've been waiting for your reaction, coz both of you have much experience and knowledge about music and thank you for sharing your thoughts about this song, coz it's hard to process such deep lyrics and cryptic messages in the video itself. Thanks guys.
P.S Pablo is also fascinated of moon.
Been looking for your rv since it's released, excited when i saw your recommendation, yeah Pablo is a lyrics genius, the world need to know more of him
I love the key reveal in the last second, proving that he was indeed the abductor himself
You deserve a million subscribers or more.
i really appreciate how the guy read the translations of the tagalog lyrics and share his own understanding about the message of Pablo's masterpiece.
There are people who have a complete, caring, and loving family but still managed to keep everything on their own including their emotions and feelings. Pablo is one of those. These people are kind of people who find it tough to open up to people even to their family and friends.
Pablo's life before is so hard, and now Pablo's share with us .
Perfectly sick music #LaLunaPABLO
🐺🌑always great reaction👍🏽
Pablo stated, “We all have flaws and we need to accept those imperfections because those are what make us who we are.” Self-love and acceptance are important for all of us to learn and strive for and it's all summed up in this debut track.
Pablo, you are amazing!!!
He said that he followed the usual go to school, get a job path but something was missing and when he gave up music for a short time he felt like he was being shackled and the him I think is God because he did talk about being in a depressed state and his faith is what got him through
that's my thoughts too, I thought they misspelled 'him' but since it can be interpreted in many ways, it's somewhat ok to just leave it as small 'h'
Been waiting for you to react his song. .🥰
What I like about him aside from the fact that he is a great lyricist, his voice.
Gosh❤
I love how both of you appreciate Pablo as a great lyricist. I like how you explained your understanding and translations of his music video. Thank you for being so real in reacting their videos :)
This mv is so intense. Pablo surprised us with this mv
Yaaz! That's our Pinuno another masterpiece from him . Thankyou so much sa RV na ito 😭💙
Thank to you two, that's why we love to watch you because we also learned and understand more about the artists
His such a badass 🔥🔥
His latest interview on Myx Ph that his inspiration on writing compositions is that its his personal struggles: He is not vocal when it comes to his feelings and thoughts that's why he wrote all his unkept feelings by writing compositions as he says that it is his DIARY that's why his lyricsm is very forward, direct and unfiltered. He fancies cinematic and theatrical way of music that tells a lot of story while singing.
I would say that he is addressing more on perspective of Mental Health And how people around him address on their perspective
The way to react to videos is just awesome. The way you analyze the lyrics and even the musicality of song is just so amazing.
Waleeee and Efra thank you for reacting to Pablo and SB19!!!
I think Pablo is like dealing with his own consciousness, the inner self .
You guys are my fave reactor! ❤
This is one of the raps that didn't mixed or required a ballad chorus. I really love this song especially the lyrics.
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only who got reminded of rm’s joke. It’s also has an NF sound to it
Wow🔥🔥🔥 Pablo the best 🥰🥰🥰🥰
#LaLuna
#Pablo
I think the inspiration for this song is also what he said on their KwentoJuan interview where he said that during the time when he was so down, he did so many "unspeakable things". Maybe that's why he chained himself so as not to let out that side of him anymore. He made a comfort zone where he can do things albeit in a limited way. But now that he has tamed that beast in himself which means he is stronger now (mentally and emotionally), he can also let out that beast and use it to "devour" those doubters around him and those who judged him before.
Kelan man respeto ay di mabibili" ey!, ❤️
I've been waiting for this. Thank you so much for reacting to PABLO's Solo Debut Song. You guys are the best!
