You'll never know how happy I am that someone is actually listening to this entire album. This is a FANTASTIC ALBUM OVERALL
One of my personal favorite love songs of all time. We all need someone to make us feel Midnight Blue.
Perhaps my favourite ELO song, at least one of them. So beautiful.

The song is Midnight Blue. It was the first song played at my wedding reception. Midnight blue was the color of the bridesmaid dresses.
This was our first song at our wedding too (37 years ago!). Love it so much yet hardly known outside of ELO circles.

Technically: Midnight Blue. Not Blues.
One very groovy song to check out from ELO is from the Album Xanadu.. it’s titled “The Fall”…

First of all, *WELCOME BACK, MARISSA!* So stoked you've graduated from school and can now devote all your time to ELO reactions! :D As for this song, I'm gonna side with, Marissa, in saying an 8.5 is a little high for it. I think it deserves an 8. Hard to pinpoint why I don't rate it higher, but it's just not all that memorable to me. And I don't love the falsetto verse, it's a bit too much falsetto doing a whole verse like that, for my tastes. Next from ELO, I noticed you haven't done one of the band's most popular songs, and it's on this album, Discovery. The song is called, *"Last Train To London".* You two will love it!

Which means I need to recommend a different song. Well, let's stay with the same album. I suggest, *"Confusion",* I think you'll really dig it!

For me, their best song and my personal favourite for over 45 years! Strangely, it almost never gets played and this is the first reaction I've seen for this song! Well done.
It usually gets blocked. I've tried sponsoring over at HarriBest Reactions for a couple years, where I've sponsored like 40 ELO songs, but each time I try it gets blocked. Now that Tyler got it through, I will try it again over there.

ELO's got several good albums and a lot of great songs - still Discovery is probably my favorite album, and Midnight Blue my favorite song.
Wife says this is the best love song she has heard.

This song is weirdly the very 1st ELO song I heard. Coming from the Philippines, this song is HUGE since it sounds very ballad-y. Unfoutantely any other ELO song is just panned from my country. I had to take the initative to dive deep into ELO's discography, man oh man I miseed out on A LOT. ELO is now one of my favorite bands now.

Nice to hear you’re back on the ELO trail Tyler ( and Marissa) Jeff seems to love Blue - uses it a lot. Another great reaction. Consider doing the track directly after this on the album, On The Run, a great upbeat number I’m sure you’d enjoy and I haven’t seen it reacted to before.
The Blues are Jeff's hometown Birmingham soccer team. Hence his obsession with the color.

@@Cosmo-Kramer Well I’m not convinced that he uses it because of his love of BCFC, it just fits the lyrics he comes up with and his musical influences
@@flanflinger37 Robert Plant held Blues music as a much greater influence than Jeff Lynne did, yet the word "blue" almost never shows up in Zeppelin lyrics or song titles or album titles. Of course, Robert is also a Brummie, but I don't know that he's as keen on the BCFC as Jeff is. Maybe he is, I dunno. I know Jeff and Bev have kicked the ball around with the team, or at least members of the team. Either way, Jeff uses the word an inordinate amount of time, and given his huge fandom of the Blues soccer team, I find it hard to believe that's a coincidence. But maybe I'm wrong.

Hi Tyler and Marissa. :) I'll put in a request for you guys to react to "One Summer Dream" from ELO'S 1975 Face The Music album. It is not a released single and so it has hardly been reacted to by anybody (unless it is being blocked?). It deserves to be more widely heard I think. Such a beautiful song-melody,instruments,beautiful female backing singer toward the end. No pressure if it turns out you don't like it ha ha. No,I understand that music tastes are very personal so it is all good eitherway. :)

This album was named by Richard the keyboard player, from the era of Disco, his phrase / reaction to style of songs

Please edit the song title. Its Midnight Blue, not Blues
All the ELO elements are present and correct but the song has something missing to my ears. Maybe I just like upbeat songs better.
They have so much better songs than this
Listen to REO Brothers of that song. They replicate that song exactly and I think much better thanthe original.
