Headed down to Merimbula last week to have a session with Brett from Burko's Fishing Adventures and Shelby from activities with Shelby. The morning quickly turned into a Bream and Trevally fest with some nice fish landed from all 3 of us. We had a great time and hope you all enjoy the video.
Beautiful area you’re fishing in this video Larry! That’s my kind of fishing!!! and really enjoyed the bream what a Real beauty!!!
I really should fish down there a bit more, its only 20 minutes away. Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for watching!
Great fishing from you three ! Some bigger fish mixed in this time for sure ! Congrats to Brett for his new PB. Beautiful day it looked like just to be out 🙌
It really was a good morning to be out there, thanks Jared.
A great morning out! Tons of action. Loved it.
Thansk Dan, we had a blast and Brett has already made plans to comeback later in the year.
One of the great fishing spots! Enjoyed getting crabs and trevally in that spot while relaxing with Mum and Dad. Great little session you guys had!! Loved eating trevally as a kid too!
I'm told after I left they got a crab, along with a nice flatty, but it is a gorgeous and relaxing spot for a fish. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful day out there Larry and a great spot. Great episode and congrats to Brett on the PB
Thanks Sean, beautiful area in Merimbula and glad we got Brett on some good fish. Take care!
That was a great morning.. lots of action and variety.. great job!👍👊
Thanks 👍 We all had a blast and it was a big plus the fishing was good.
Excellent day beach fishing Larry!! Seems like everyone had great time. Beautiful bream Larry👍👍
We had a blast and it was good everyone caught some good sized fish. Thanks Jun!
Congrats on the new PB Brett and better late than never Shelby!
Beautiful morning and catches out there Larry and company. How far out before that water drops off on that shoreline? Looks like it’s fairly quick.
That little guys gonna need an eyepatch…
So just to the righ of where Brett is fishing is the channel the boats use to get in and out to sea, other than that, not much drop off other than where we were fishing from. Most of that area is probably about 4-5 foot deep at best. In saying that, the channel gets moving very fast especially at the start of tide changes.
Seemed like the fishing dropped off around the time people started swimming🤔 Good to see you and Brett catching some big ones to start out with too. That ray was pretty awesome as well. Thanks for taking us along Larry!
They were a bit of an issue, but after I left, the two of them had a really good afternoon session that is up on Brett's channel, but it was a great morning and we already have plans for more when they return at the end of the year. Thanks!!!
A lovely day to be on the beach with some fishing buddies. Some quality fish caught too.
Thanks Neil, had a blast! I'm going to give you a ring tomorrow, be prepared LOL
All I can say is what a morning. Fish, fish and more fish. Had an absolute blast. Thankyou once again for putting up with me. See you in 7 months time...
Had a great time and treally looking forward to having a fish with you again. Take care and we'll see you guys soon.
You're a top sport Brett. Great haul for both of you that morning.
@@jasonrasheed7670 thanks. Where the A team....
😂 @@BurkosFishingAdventures
Good spot to keep going back to, same as where you got the big salmon I think?
Same spot, good memory :) Its only a few minutes, I really should get down ther emore. Thanks!
Just catching up on this vid, looks like you guys had a fun morning. That was really a huge bream Larry and Brett pulled in some good sized trevally too. I think I'll need to come back in a few months & try my luck again.
Surprised, the fishing at Mitchie's has been really slow, not much happening and with the warm water, you would think it be great right now, but we'll give it a go again in the next few weeks and see if things have changed.
Gee I called that big Bream for a massive Trevor, he went so hard, they do tend to do that, around the 40 mark though...
You guys are making me want to do some bait fishing for a change, I might take a second rod next saltwater trip, hopefully pick up a few more Trevor's that way 👍
Well it was all happening on this one mate, plenty of action that's for sure.
Good to see Shelby made it eventually hahaha
That Ray was awesome, the water here is usually too murky to see th here, but they are out there...
Didn't take long for Shelby to catch up, with a nice Bream himself.
If it were a competition, Brett definitely seemed to take the win I think.
Don't worry if it was a competition for the smallest fish you definitely would have won, it didn't stop Brett trying to win that class as well though, with the little snapper 😅😂
We had a blast and Brett would have taken the cup until I left, but he has more footage with him and Shelby in the early afternoon and the young fella killed it. Thanks as alwyas Mick and I don't think anyone can compete with me on catching small fish, its my jam LOL
@@LarrysFishing all in all a great day, when everyone is catching something 👍
Hahaha "catching small fish is my jam" someone needs to turn that into a song
Now there's a thought LOL We have a friend down here who is a musician, wonder if I could talk him onto writing a tune?
@@LarrysFishing new theme song 😅
Could be funny, no harm in asking
Great fishing and a great area Larry! Congrats on the small fish record 😂
Catching monsters is what I do LOL Thanks!
at the beach is nice spot of fishing
It sure is, thanks!
Nice one, maybe next year for the pirtek comp
Yeah, I'll need to do more serious fishing next year, but had a good weekend!
Well done Larry. Great spot. What bait were you using out of interest?
I believe we were all just using pilchard for bait.
Rastus MH carves it up down there.
It is definitely a good spot, I'll try to get there a bit more often. Cheers!
