Is there a listing of lakes for each region that are on the card ?

The HDS Live come with C-Map installed when new. Why buy new cards for it? I could see if a lake had a detailed map like some do, but for example Toledo Bend hasn’t been mapped with the detailed mapping like Guntersville or something.

I just watched 3 or 4 TH-cam videos on how to do it so I knew what I was doing when I got into the menu section.
So far, it allowed me to get into menu, more options, chart options... but it does not have "shading" listed when I scroll down. That is the next step, but it is not showing up on my screen when I try to scroll down. Any suggestions?

On hds live i put in the card and it doesnt show up as a chart source

Already have a recent NAVIONICS Platinum + card. Won't it do the same things?

It will do the satellite imagery or the sonar shading. However the mapping detail and color shading is different.
