    PS: The most interesting thing is this.
    When you JUST listen to the music by itself, you are amazed at how it sounds. BUT when you place it in the context of "a western", it takes on a whole new dynamic of sounds and mental visuals. The steady drums as "horse hoofs" and the sweeping vocals as panoramic vistas and sweeping plains. As well as the strings/chimes for entering small "towns" makes perfect sense. Just close your eyes and imagine everything you think of when you think of "The Wild West" and see how much the music enhances what your mind creates.

    They're amazing....everything they do is amazing, Tuva Semmingsen (wah wah) is a mezzo-soprano and she is awesome, go check out the other videos by her and them, the composer is the late Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) and he's a legend as he should be, he did all the scores for those kinds of movies known as Spaghetti Westerns which catapulted Clint Eastwood to global superstar status, what you're listening to now is from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly but there's also A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More and capped off by Once Upon a Time in the West, all directed by legendary Italian director Sergio Leone (1929-1989) his last film was 1984's Once Upon a Time in America which starred Robert De Niro and James Woods, the composer and director here have had a massive influence on many current composers and directors, the works by them are stunning. As a side note, look at the aforementioned Tuva Semmingsen and she's wearing a gun shaped earing.

    Ennio Morricone, who was in charge of the soundtracks for "THE GOOD, THE BAD and THE UGRY", said that the composition method at the time of making this movie was avant-garde music that incorporated daily tools and real voices that were not orchestral instruments. I was making emotional music.

    This video perfectly shows the difference between "composing" music and "arranging" music for movies.
    To "compose" you must KNOW what each instrument is capable of, how it can highlight another instrument OR counter it, as well as how it can emphasis specific emotional responses. And you must KNOW how to do it note for note, bar for bar, piece by piece.
    To "arrange" you must KNOW how each sound works with or against each other. And you must KNOW where your "power" comes from.
    Composing is like a hand written letter to a dear friend or loved one. Arranging is simply typing a form letter. Both can be moving, don't get me wrong. But the "composed" version will always feel more emotionally connected to both the composer and the listener.

    All she is doing is singing "WAH WAH" ANY one can do that sound. I find it amusing that so many reactors can't seem to figure out "HOW DOES SHE DO THAT WITH HER MOUTH" I just love how the drums keep a "galloping hooves of horses" beat. The whole piece just brings you images of the "Old West" GREAT movie, you should watch it sometime. OH and it SEEMS that you NEVER noticed the "man" hanging from a noose from the ceiling....it was shown 3 times and I didn't see any "shock" reaction from you! lol!

    GRANDE MORRICONE!!!!!!!!

  • @svenlima
    @svenlima 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This tune is not (!) by the "The Danish National Symphony Orchestra - they "just" play it. This tune is by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone! Morricone is more important than the Orchestra. He must be mentioned in the video title!
    btw: Morricone also composed the music to the iconic movie "Once upon a time in the west" - and many many others.

    • @TVWJ
      @TVWJ 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Morricone is not "more important" than the orchestra. It is the combination of the creation and the performance that makes it great, and neither can stand alone. Creation and performance are two different disciplines. As in movies, the script is not more important than the acting- a bad actor can ruin a good script and vice versa.
