How easy we overlook point #2 (‘forgetting to add a goal’s small print’), and therefore that we wouldn’t really want the goal’s realisation were it to be obtained in certain (undesirable) ways/circumstances. One is reminded of the ‘be careful what you wish for’ canon - lest we obtain some grotesque variant of the wish-object, and/or pay some unimagined beastly price. Thanks for another great pause-for-thought video!
Planning goals that are actually attractive and enjoyable seems so obvious and yet, we often completely ignore that, like we are a slave to our goals. Then we end up vacillating between cracking the whip and procrastinating. Ugh. I used to think that was just the way it always is, but you're right - it's a sure sign that the goal is not all that compelling.
I just came across your iPad Pro video? How has it been treated you after all these years? I plan on buying one next week as a upgrade from my iPad Air 2!!

"Be careful what you wish for" was definitely an alternative title I had in mind for this one. Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Paul!

Right? I've been there far too many times
Very nice video! I've been reading about goal setting for a while and I found new perspectives here.
Thank you Sara! I'm so happy it was useful for you :)
I like the "forget the noun, do the verb" quote. I always get caught up in what I can do with all the money once I'm successful lmao
