    They’ve certainly put a lot of work into it. The track looks very robust and well built.

    That’s really great. The track looks really good. Concrete sleepers.

      The track is good. The sleepers are actually plastic. A lot of miniature railways use them now 👍😊

    What a magnificent layout. With the snaking curves around the hill it really felt like my experiences on the Narrow gauge railways 60 years or so ago. I can understand why the owner wants to keep its location secret. He would be besieged with people wanting a ride.

    • @driver667

    Great stuff as usual. If it's possible to get permission from AGL, I'd love to see footage of the 3 foot gauge Bogong Creek Tramway on the Kiewa hydro scheme. Amazingly it is still in use 75 years after it was built, although the last couple of km were abandoned after a bridge collapse.

    • @driver667
      @driver667  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I just happen to have footage of that I took back in the 1990's with my video camera of the time. The quality is no where as good as today's camera but I will put it together in a video in the future 👍 😉

    I'd love to know where to buy that small gauge rail, I have plans for a 12" railway at my place. This little railway featured here is great, love seeing small gauge lines in action.

    • @driver667
      @driver667  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are nice to see. I use flat bar the same as a number of clubs for my railway. Small profile rail is 3 to 4 times the cost and flat bar works well and looks good. Your 12" gauge railway would be interesting to see when you have it up and running 👍😊
