i carry an extra drone
That’s a smooth solution!
Next video: instead of Mini 3 Pro buy two Mini 3’s!
Love your dry humor. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
You too!@@leomannisto
You are right on, I carry exactly EVERYTHING you suggested!
" OH.. WE ARE ALREADY ON DA TURD! " 🤣🤣 Had me in stitches laughing that bit.... That means something totally different in English my friend! haha.
Great humour and great advice all the same. Thanks! 🤘
love your feedback! appreciate that you take my somewhat thick accent in that way 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Carrying extra batteries is a smart move for ensuring your devices stay powered up wherever you go. It's always good to be prepared!
Indeed!
We are heading to Northern Norway right now and especially in the colder climate the extra batteries are something you don’t want to leave at home.
Thank you for your contribution, really appreciate. Nice flights!
I have the DJI mini SE and I have done some very creative crashing with it. Amazed that it is still intact. I have a spare battery, charging cable and I always, ALWAYS keep an extra microSD card the pouch so I have one when I go flying 👍🏻
Guess who has left the SD Card on tbe reader at home when going out to fly… that’s an essential as well!
@@leomannisto That’s exactly my point! 😄 one spare SD card stays there, in the pouch, and if it is removed, REPLACE IT STRAIGHT AWAY 😄
Those Micro-SDs are pretty easy to…lose.
Love your humor! Makes watching fun. Good content too. Thanks
Thank you so much, really happy to hear feedback like that! 🙏
I like how's he's honest and says ill see you when I feel like making a new video.
Nice video I'm recently learning how to use a mini 3 pro and im scared of losing the joysticks 😂
Thank you!
Just get yourself a pair of extras and you are covered ;)
Thank you. Excellent sense of humour!
thank you! happy to hear that, appreciate! 🙏
Great video, good info because I haven't changed my props yet, and this joysticks, yeah , I just leave them in and I put a piece of round foam around them when in my shoulder carry case, but I should still get an extra set 😊😊
Thank you so much Randy for your comment!
Be careful when changing the props, the screw heads are unbelievably soft. I managed to change out 7 of 8 before stripping the head of the 8th screw…
That round foam sounds a genious trick! Never thought about that!
Nice Video, I also love to carry extra batteries with me for more flight minutes. And what I personally find handy is my landing and take off pad. and last and not least always take extra SD cards with you for when your sd cards run out of storage... those and the main things I take with me when I carry my DJI Mini 3 Pro.
Those are really sensible items to carry! I haven’t tried a landing pad, but I think it’s great when you have sand or long grass. I managed to fly my M3P to my finger once when landing so it would save injuries as well.
The SD card is SO easy to forget when editing on the computer.
@@leomannisto hand launching is a lot easier and faster instead of using a landing pad. I don’t have those and always hand launch/recover my drone when I’m out flying
@@abdurehimjufar5142 I don't have a pad either. I usually just break my finger and a prop blade when landing but I'm just a bit clumsy at times =D
New sub. Keep up the good work mate. Thank you
Thank you! I'll try ;)
I like comfort. I use a traditional old camera bag, medium size. Everything fits in easily. Folding landing pad to use when my extended leg attachment is still not high enough for the grass [although I can hand launch/land anyway]. 3 extra batteries, charger and a good quick power adapter and USB C cable for charging in the car. A strap for the controller - very useful. Spare props and a good screwdriver. ND filter set, which I honestly rarely change from the ND4 that's normally fitted. Spare joysticks, but you can use the controller without them. Try it. A pair of specs that give me clear vision when my M3P is a dot in the distance. And, not in the bag, a simple small folding stool that's easy to carry. So much more relaxing when I can sit down.
Thank you!
That really sounds like a really comfortable kit. Why have I never thought about spectacles/binocular before?! That is a solid tip that one.
I enjoyed your flat sense of humour & this video, please keep up the good work in making us aware of DJI ,s soft parts, wink wink
Your video is awesome.keep up the great work 👍🏿
Thank you so much! Happy to hear that!
Good video, I always at least one carry extra battery, SD card or two (I’ve had one or two die on me this year!) I’ve never lost a blade yet (fingers crossed) but I alway bring along the little guard strap which helps I think.
Thank you! 🙏
Oh yes, I feel more confident with the guard strap, when I put the drone in the bag. I think it’s a useful accessory indeed.
Well done! I appreciate the info and the humor!
Great list! I LOVE chocolate!
Me too! As long it’s not used as a construction material. ;)
It is sad to admit but this comes from personal experience. When you pack up your drone and carry it into the mountains to go out flying for the day remember to pack the remote. LOL
Oh no! That’s something one doesn’t wish to anyone. I wish someone brings out a backpack with power cord so that one can leave everything in the bag and charge it there without taking them out.
I have only forgotten the SD cards more than once.
This is the first one of your videos that I watched and I liked it.
Thank you! Really happy to hear that, appreciate! 🙏
Great video, quick information with a touch of humor! Also when screwing on new props, should they be a bit wobbly? As I couldn’t screw them in any further with the original DJI screwdriver.
Happy to hear that!
Yes, the blades are a liitle bit loose, or have a small amount of play. That is nothing to worry about. Nice skies!
@@leomannisto Thanks for the advice!
My backpack items for both Mini 3 pro AND Mini 2: 65w Gan & Car-lighter Chargers; LiPo bag (for batteries stored in DJI charger); Freewell “All Day” filter set; RC protector cover; Lanyard; 2 extra-Propeller sets (each drone); lens brusch; Screen Wet-Wipes; Strobe Flasher; extra usb-c cables; Control stick stabilizer (Scotty Makes Stuff) … All items are used Daily … & I live in South Florida.
That's a lot of stuff! But hey, as they say, better to have it and not need it. Greetings to Florida and Thank You for your comment! Nice Skies!
Schocolate! ❤
😂😂😂 man i love the way you presented this must have things with you all the time when going for the fly... Immediately subscribe for more entertaining useful videos. Cheers sir 🎉❤
Thank you!!!! That was nicely said! 🙏🙏🙏 appreciate!
you got me bro i like your style hello from cali!! Just started my journey!!
Thank you so much! Oh I am sure Cali will provide stunning opportunities for drone flying. Have fun and nice skies!
Propellers made of chocolate 😂 Hilarious ! I subscribed just cause that was a good analogy
Thank you! Happy to hear that. But they really are so soft!
I loved you video. You are funny and it was god.
I just start flying, until now I have the mini3pro in my car, whitch ate a VW transporter T6, with everything 😂. I have to downsize what to bring when I fly. Thank you😂
Thank you! So happy to hear that you found it useful! 🙏
I think a T6 must be a reasonably sized car for a Mini 3 + maybe 200 fly more kits? 😂
I bought a carry case for the remote that also protects the sticks, I will never take the joysticks off of the remote anymore. However: additional batteries, SD card, ND filters and a fully charged remote are quite essential. 👌😁
The list sounds very sensible! Some kind of a carry case or stick guard would indeed be beneficial.
Thank you for the info handsome❤
I’m glad if you found it helpful!
good reminder. Thnaks
Glad to hear you liked it! Appreciate, thank you! 🙏
Good video and reminder. I have an Air 2S and just added a mini. I'm not carrying anything other than props with the mini. After all, the purpose is to be compact. But you reminded me that some additional essentials are wise.
At least have a decent screwdriver for the props! I stripped one screw head with the DJI's own screwdriver so that's why I recommend getting a decent one. Yes, the small size of the Mini is soooo good, easy to travel with a minimal kit.
All the best and nice skies!
I like your delivery style... entertaining :)
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you liked it. 🙏
Chocolate propellers are much yummier than the Air 2's sillyputty props!
I was considering the Air2S too but the sillyputty propellers and the lack of a kit with the RC controller were deal breakers.
That was a good one! Love it! 👍👍👍
I bring along a powerbank to top up the drone’s battery while driving to my next destination
That's actually a really useful tip! Thank you!
I carry with me:
Spare props.
Batteries.
ND filters.
Wide angled lens.
Lens cloth.
Landing pad.
That’s a really sensible carry-on! What’s the wide angle lens? Works like Filters?
Great video, liked and subbed👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Leo! Love your humor. I create playful drone tutorials also. We are not trying to cure cancer here….so gotta make it fun. New subscriber here from New York City. “Everyone knows DJI props are made of chocolate.” ….that earned it.
Thank you so much Ted! Really appreciate your comment and subscription.
I hope I can visit the NYC some day and take a tour with the subway. Now I know who to ask about drone flying too ;)
I got my mini 3 pro last month. Only been out flying a few times. I carry the whole fly more bag like a noob.
Nothing wrong with that! the bag is actually quite nice.
Just add a decent screwdriver and you are covered! :)
Great video
Thank you! Happy to hear that. 🙏
I ordered the cover for my Dji controller. Never have to remove the sticks and the cover also blocks sunlight if needed.
Secateurs and telescopic selfie stick with a wire hook for extracting the drone from trees and hedges.
That is something I’ve never thought about, a telescopic stick. Great idea! Thank you!
Hello I don't know if you can help me? I have mini 3 pro with dji controller and lately I have NO SOUND coming from it. Like it used to say HOMEPOINT UPDATED But nothing now. Been though settings can't find a ploblem thanks Alan.
Hmmmm. I don’t know any other options but the android setting, if you swipe down the screen do you see the volume setting there? Maybe that is for some reason down?
@@leomannisto hello thanks very much for your reply. I did try the settings when you swipe down twice the volume was ok? I will just have to hope it comes back maybe.
I felt like i carry way too many things in my carry case 😂 i even got the certified documents because why not, whos know when will karen appears from nowhere and start 'karen-ing'
Haha I know that! Some people are eager to see something official looking. Maybe even a traffic cone with text ”drone in operation” and a high-vis vest would be sometimes useful?
@leomannisto sure it would! Maybe even wear safety vest to the extreme
Is that a maxpedition pouch you have there?
And here we have me using the stock DJI screwdriver... I'll buy a separate one after I've screwed up (no pun intended 😂)
Indeed it is! I just found the logo patches too present so had to cut them off first
amigo~ Like it. total fantastic , 😇
Thank you! So happy to hear that! 🙏
good video, dankeschoen!
Thank you so much! 🙏 so happy to hear that.
Most who have flow for awhile will have these extras, but I always check out these videos. I just went ahead and ordered the screwdriver. Hope I never have to use it. 😁
Well, a small screwdriver has many used outside of the drone world too ;)
@@leomannisto What would I do with that you. LOL. LOL LOL.
The screw driver I got fits better then any one in a set I've tested.....
Changing props.... During short flights, close to home, do the change at home. The screws are terribly small and dropping one often results in a complete loss....
About the mounting of the joysticks. Practise discipline, knowing they are easily lost in the vegetation. Mounting them: Between the thump and the finger, rotate the joystick counter clockwise as much as You can. Then screw it on as much as You can. Make a test pull before taking a new grab and be prepared for the joystick not catching the threads.
Dismounting the joysticks: Turn the joystick clockwise as much as You can and turn it CCW one quarter of a turn. Check if its loose or not. Take a new grab and do the same.
Also, changing the memory card. Use one nail, tool, whatever You like but use one finger that will make sure the card is not catapulting out into the vegetation. Missing to do so it took 30 minutes to find the catapulted card....
That catapulting card is something I’ve never even thought about! Thank you for your comment, I am sure it is valuable for many new operators. 🙏
Nice skies and all the best!
Never understood why the joysticks aren't fitted with bright orange rubbers.
That would be really nice!
@@leomannistoexcept for a color blind person like me 😂 if I lose something red or orange in grass, she gone.
They are not going to do cause that is not for them to do , you have to that for yourself cause when you lose the Sticks , that is money for them !
@@jeremyboyce1537 I want bigger joysticks, ones that we used to have back in the early 90’s 😄
@@timovehkaoja, I would like that too but they don't do anything that will satisfy us ! They do what they want and Force it upon us !!
Lol, great video. Don't lose that sense of humor.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Great video great drone. I have a mini 4 pro and love it. I hope 1 day I'll save enough money to get a bigger drone with more power to handle wind better, a mavic or air 3 maybe 🤔
Thank you so much! I am sure that the M4P is a great device and you will have fun with it 👍
I just use a nice case that holds everything for my DJI Mini 3 Pro.
Shock-let 😂 tank you 😂
Yes, I do have an accent :)
@@leomannisto great tips enjoying your videos 👍🏻
So happy to hear that, appreciate! 🙏
The 3 battery power bank is super helpful to charge 3 batteries at a time.
Oh and at least a 30 watt charger brick.
Oh yes! It is a necessity. I’d like to have 3 on the block but batteries alone are quite salty priced :/
4 extra batteries, one more micro SD and a lanyard for the RC controller 😊
That is some serious flight time with 3 extra batteries!
The lanyard sounds really handy. 👌🏻
All the best and have a nice flight!
I always keep a sandwich and beer in my sack just in case there is a nuclear war .
brilliant! even if there isn't, just a little snack and a brew would boost any adventure!
I couldn't agree more about the screwdriver, it's the sort of thing you'd expect in a McDonald's happy meal 😂
Haha that was a good one! 😂 good for everything else but as a screwdriver kind of useless.
@@leomannisto I was doing a video for a third-party once and the dam drone was acting unstable, after realizing it was the props I attempted to change them with that "screwdriver".... that's when I instantly bought a new one. It makes the world of difference having a real screwdriver with a magnetic tip
Nice & witty...also, bring always bring a standard sized chocolate bar so there is no temptation to eat the propellers.
Hahah love that! I have to put a Snickers in my bag, your tip is solid gold!
New Mini 3 pro owner. Leo. I love your dry humor. Are you a Fin or a German? (Both countries being famous for their contributions to comedy. Joo? Ja?) New sub from the PNW region of the US. DJI says you should change the screws with each prop change. I thought it was because they would shear off, but you indicate it's the chocolate heads. Delicious. Thanks for the video veli, bruder.
Thank you! Appreciate.
I am Finn but have been living in Germany for the last 13 years 😂
Yes please do change the screws! They are unbelievable brittle and/or soft at the same time! And as they come woth the props anyway it doesn’t save any money or so.
PNW is cool, I think there are even Finnish Communities in Oregon. They emigrated there at the beginning of the 20th century.
very funny video. Looking forwar to more.
Thank you! I’ll do my best to keep it educational and entertaining. 🙏
Battery pack. Fundamental to flying. Battery brick to charge from. Extra SD card.
Can’t have too many of SD Cards. Very easy to lose! Very easy.
Extra batteries
Extra batteries are always a good idea!
Carrying a ECOFLOW river 2 max
I had to google what that is, but it seems that you won’t run out of juice any time soon? ;)
I never carry joysticks because I have fitted domed nuts onto the controller threads instead.
Makes for smoother control inputs and they can live on the controller in the standard FMK bag without any problems.
One accessory I do carry is a small "Lens Pen" to keep my lens and filters clean.
That sounds sensible! Great idea.
Yes, it’s unbelievable how much dirt and insects you catch when flying around. Some cleaning items does absolutely no harm in the kit.
FMK bag for the win!
nuts are naturally domed.
I brought anemometer
That’s..good equipped!
I’ve been keeping about 8m/s wind a limit for my Mini3Pro, what kind of maximum winds do you still take off?
....or just buy a sunnylife case to carry your rc in with space to enable you to keep the joysticks always on the rc....
That’s a very valid option too!
I have a slightly limited space available sometimes so need to screw on and off. But that’s definetly a easy and cheap solution to the problem!
@Leo Männistö ...and they aren't made of chocolate 😁...had mine (3 of them, 1 for RC Pro. 1 for Mini 3 Pro and 1 for Mavic 3 Classic) for a while now, very durable...I don't work for Sunnylife but they are well known now.
You mean the Propellers or the joysticks? :) the joysticks indeed are sturdy but i keep dropping them due to my clumsiness! I’ll def have a look at the joystick guard, seems promising!
Ever tried to fly a drone without propellers?
I think it’s not a flying device but a real estate without propellers? Haven’t. Yet ;)
I never unscrew the joystick
Solid solution! If your bag allows it, even better!
I did that mistake and broke mine 😞 but I fixed it with a match!
Can’t do it on the RC controller though, the screws are on the controller ;)
But in an emergency you can fly without joysticks and use the stubs 👌🏻
Its "Three" not "Tree"
Thanks! Duly noted. My English is somewhat rusty and the pronounciation has always been difficult. Won’t stop me trying though ;)
are they really made of chocolate?
Indeed! They melt and break rather easily ;)
I Plan on taking a helo pad! so i can land more safely on mud and rocks haha
That is not a bad idea! When landing on sand or snow or similar, the propellers throw a good amount of junk in the air - which then directly will be sucked in the air intakes.
@leomannisto ya a nice folding one seems possible I'll let ya know the cons if I do haha
I can't think any other con than hauling it with you but I think they are quite light and small =)
So I have a folding mini table from uline!(it's walmart for industrial businesses lol) it worked perfectly on my last trip on a river bed !very light and I can carry a little tiny cozy chair from Walmart little baggage but amazing to set your stuff on while flying !
@@berrettgarrett not a bad idea at all!
Just add a cooler a couple of nice cold beverages and you will have a nice day indeed!
PD chargers as the goggle's batteries are not the best. I actually dont use the control sticks when using the controllers. You wont even notice after a couple flights. I have the good screwdriver and extra props, but I dont bring them for 2 reasons. 1. It keeps me out of the trees. 2. It was a bad day and I need to go strait to my room without dinner.
That's a really valid point with the trees! I usually break the propellers on my fingers when catching the drone at landing.
I have to try it without the sticks in place. Thanks for the tip and all the best!
I was sure it was going be stuff like ND filters and stuff like that.
ND’s are nice too but, well, depends. I mean if you are just taking photos then not an absolute necessity.
To be honest I find it a bit annoying to attach and detach the tiny NDs but maybe I’m just clumsy.
@@leomannisto Great vid BTW!
Oh thank you! Happy to hear that. So nice to see you participatong here in the comments too. 🙏
Lol..they are very teeny tiny bits even for my dainty small fingers.
And made of chocolate!!!!
Extra batteries.
Indeed!
An extra memory card in the controller.
That’s a really good advice for everyone! I have not once or twice to put the sd card back to the drone when heading out and the card in the RC has saved my day.
@@leomannisto It has saved me also!
Chocolate...hahaha
They are unbelievably brittle!!!
@@leomannisto I bought my M3P about 6 months ago and have hit a tree in sport mode, and a wall in the house. They are still okay but the tips are a bit beat up. But I did like the chocolate reference because they do seem delicate. I bought more because I knew it's only a matter of time...
I sliced one prop in half, length wise when I landed on my finger 😂
But the really delicate parts are the screw heads. That is unbelievable how soft they are. Some improvement to be made there, torx heads or something…
What the hell is a “shocklote?”
Chocolate from someone who ain’t a native english speaker ;)
255 sub
That is a huge number for me! Welcome and thank you, highly appreciated!
funny : D
XAXXAX SO GOOD VIBE VIDEO AND A LOT OF HUMOR ,ALSOVERY GOOD TIPS
Glad to hear you liked it! Have A Happy New Year!!!
I allways have some tape with me. Ducktape helps in many situations and weighs little..
Good tip! Some duck/gaffer tape around a paper clip and you have an useful key fob with tape!
