In NZ most cheesecakes are no-bake, and the cheap ones from the frozen aisles are usually either strawberry or passion fruit! It's so odd to see someone else so enamored with passion fruit when in NZ it's very normal hahaha.
I’m Australian and fresh passion fruit is a summer staple for me! Reminds me of Christmas time :) my grandmother would always have a big bowl of peaches and passion fruits for us to snack on while we stayed for the holidays! Amazing.
I'm not a fruit eater but since watching your fruity fruit series it's made me really curious about all these different fruits. We tried dragon fruit and rambutan. Now I'm always looking for different fruits to try, just for fun. I love trying new foods.
In Australia both cheese cake and Pavlova, passion fruit is a must. Pavlova is a giant meringue crispy on the outside set and fluffy on the inside, heaped with whipped cream and topped with tinned peaches, strawberries and passion fruit ... sooo yummy the passion fruit cuts the sweetness of the meringue.
I'm a little surprised that you only had passionfruit once before. But I am a fan of yours! I love how you show respect to everything you taste and eat.
Delicious 😋 With the leftover passion fruit shells you can make an incredible dessert, in Venezuela we call it "Cascos de Parchita" (Passion Fruit Shells) 😋😋😋
@@therealJamieJoy You can also make something similar with Guava Shells 😋😋😋 Both (Parchita & Guayaba) shells better eaten with lots of cream cheese and the respective fruit syrup.

Try making nieve de garrafa It’s a Mexican Ice-cream which uses more fruits and ice . (My favorite is mango and you can put Chamoy and chilly powder on top .or for a sweeter taste strawberry with honey for toppings .)
Today is my birthday, and this is the only "cake" I will see today. I'm fine with that, as any video from Emmy is a gift! Thank you, lovely, lovely Emmy!
I really thought that bigger yellowish passion fruit was rotten on the inside when you opened. I was scared when you went to eat it! lol My mom used to make no bake cheesecake but it was an actual no bake mix you can buy in the store. I think Jello makes it. It isn’t bad but it’s definitely not like real cheesecake. Zingy! I love the word zingy! 🔑
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A RECIPE LIKE THIS! EMMY GIRL YOU DID IT AGAIN. Love You So Much!! I'VE REWATCHED YOUR EPISODES SO MUCH RIGHT NOW THAT I AM DIETING FOR MY WASHINGTON TRIP next week.
Made this for a work potluck yesterday. Substituted the whipped topping for heavy whipping cream. And since I couldn’t find the fruit i went for the pulp ifound at the store and made a gelatin layer for the top and my goodness everyone at work LOVED IT.
Growing up in Australia Passionfruits are so common. I always imagined they were readily available everywhere. It’s so amazing to watch someone eat one for the first time when it’s such an everyday fruit for me. In Aus the small one is the traditional passion fruit (sometimes the outside is even darker and more brown/purple), we call the larger ones a ‘panama’ passionfruit and they also have varying coloured ‘shells’.
Passion Fruit (or Maracujá in Portuguese) with dark chocolate is a very popular flavor combination here in Brazil for birthday cakes and desserts. I have a passion fruit vine in my yard and it’s wonderful! The flowers are truly beautiful and each one grows into a huge fruit. The vine gets a lot of caterpillars hungry for its leaves and they eat so much that they stay in the vine till they become butterflies
Hi Emmy ! The large passion fruit here in Australia I’ve always known them to be called panama passion fruit. They do not need to be left to shrivel. They are far less acidic and sweeter. The smaller ones are so tangy if eaten unripe they will take all the saliva out of your mouth. They truely are delish . Love no cook cheese cake if your in a hurry but nothing beats a New York style cheese cake. Much love from Sydney Australia
Wow! I grew up eating passion fruit and have never seen any like those before. The ones I'm used to are a very dark brown on the outside and quite round, though they're about the same size as and have a pretty similar inside to the smaller one you have.
Emmy! The second passion fruit been like that in the middle is correct! They are supposed to be separated from the out side. In fact, my mom says that she can tell the best passion fruits by shaking them, you are suppose to hear it shaking inside! But i’ll admit that they look odd if you don’t know that. :) Love from Brazil!!
Seeing this brings me joy, aside from what is happening here in PR, specially because me and my wife made a white choco, matcha and passion fruit layered no bake cheescake about 3 weeks ago and was delicious, very unique flavour ❤❤❤
I always find it funny when I see videos like this because Passiomfruit are so common here. Although I guess everyone feels that way about their countries everyday food!🤷🏻♀️
@Ranch DuBois one of my Brazilian friend's makes passion fruit (maracuya or maracuja) mousse all the time. She always gets me the nectar juice and the tea every since she found out that I love passion fruits and other types of fruits.
I love passion fruit !!! So sweet and “zingy”😉. Fun fact! The flowers are traditionally used for stress and adrenal support ! You can make a tincture of the flowers by soaking them in alcohol, or steeping them into a tea
Here in South Africa passion fruits are called granadilla 😊 very popular to just eat with a spoon! My aunt has a tree of them in her garden and she regularly gives me a shopping bag full of them! I put them in fruit salads for crunch or I mix it with plain yoghurt for sweetness and flavour 💛💛
Being a Brazilian and a lover of passion fruit (or "maracujá" as we call the yellow variety here, as we don't really have the little green one) I approve of this message! Passion Fruit Cheesecake is THE BOMB.
In Dominican Republic we eat Passion fruit just split in half and sprinkle some sugar on it. You eat the inside mixed with the sugar. It’s like the quickest, most comforting dessert
My sister has a whole hedge of those. As does one of my nieces. Theirs turn purple (and wrinkled) when they are ripe. It is one of the most amazing fruits in the world!
I LOVE passionfruit! My favorite thing to do with it is to toss the contents of one passionfruit with a cubed melon. usually honeydew or canteloupe. It adds sweetness to the passionfruit and a wonderful tang to the melon! If you don't live in a quite tropical area, there's a passionfruit variety, passiflora incarnata or maypop, that grows well to zone 6 in the US that has the most beautiful honey-scented flowers and super tasty fruit! If it likes an area, it can be a bit of a pest, but it's gorgeous and delicious.
you brought me back home Emmy! In Colombia, we make many desserts from the fruit and of course drink it as juice. I remember having this cheesecake with passionfruit as well at a bakery and you made me miss home! In Colombia, we call passionfruit "Maracuya".
I had one of these growing in my backyard when i was a kid, i think my mother planted it when i was born LOL. The vines were climbing the mango tree we had and climbing the tree to get fresh mangos was so fun LOL I miss those times, really.

In Brazil we make something similar to a cheese cake but with passion fruit juice on the cream/mousse and a passion fruit sauce on top that is truly amazing
That "Passion Fruit" (especially the larger, yellow one) is called "maracuya" here in Peru. It's very common and is used for juice and in all kinds of desserts...especially as a topping for cheesecake. Well done!

I love the ice cream I used to buy from a guy that made ice cream from fruit when I was a child. Of course passion fruit (parcha) was the only one I would buy from him. One of many of the favorite things I loved from Puerto Rico.
We call them Maracujá here in Brazil, they're really good here. I love making a lovely Mousse with it, tangy, soft, delicious (make it as the filling of a dark chocolate bonbon, DELICIOUS)
In aus, people around me have passion fruit tress, and they have purple skins, but at the start are a bright green. Sooo sweet and yummy! So I grew up eating passionfruit
In Brazil we call it Maracujá, from the indigenous word for it. It's usually paired with dark or milk chocolate desserts too. And ours is the very big and yellow kind.
My great grandma, rest her soul, used to make no bake cheese cakes every thanksgiving and Christmas. Apple, strawberry, cherry and blueberry. They never lasted until the next day lol. Your looks exactly like hers and bet taste as good as hers. Thumbs up. BTW eating passion fruit always reminds me of eating tapioca. Texture anyway
Emmy, I grew up in Michigan in the 1970s, all if us neighborhood kids Grew up eating one of these three fried peanut butter sandwiches; fried dill pickle & peanut butter sandwiches, fried banana & peanut butter sandwiches, and fried peanut butter & marshmallow fluff sandwiches. We would make them like a grilled cheese, but we would put the those above Combinations in them instead. You assemble the sandwich, butter both sides of it, and then fry it in a pan - Like you would a grilled cheese. And we made it with Wonder Bread and Jiffy peanut butter. You should try making those on your show!
YAY!!! A Fruity Fruits video! I miss these! And passion fruit! I love passion fruit. I don't think both of those were P. edulis. I just found a whole field full of native passion flowers and fruit. Won't be ripe til late summer/early fall but I can't wait! Yum! You can use it to flavor water. Great video!
Here in New Zealand Passionfruit is quite common a flavor, you can buy premade Passionfruit Cheesecakes as well as Passionfruit yogurt, Passionfruit flavored ice cream topping syrup, and even Passionfruit ice cream.
My favorite fruit 😍🤤 it's called "parcha" in Puerto Rico. People make juice from it but personally i just cut it in half and eat it. I've loved passion fruit for as long as I can remember. I don't chew the seeds, though. I just swallow them whole.
Emmy the passion-fruit skins/shells make a delicious jam. Its very marmalade like but not so intense and the texture of the skin becomes like gummy bears.
In South Africa, we call the passion fruit a granadilla and the outside is a maroon/purple colour. They are mostly the size of the small green one and about as much shrivelled.
Hi, Emmy. Love your channel! Not sure were the green variety is from but the yellow one looks like the kind you find in Mexico, my home country! Yes, they are ripe when wrinkled but you have to tap it with you finger. If it sounds hollow it's on it's way out. Another trick is to feel for it's weight, if it feels lighter than it looks and sounds hollow pick another one.
Cheese cake & Boston Creme Cake are my favorite sweet things on this earth, and I can attest that Emmy’s cheesecake dance expresses the universal excitement, lol! Passionfruit sounds like the perfect accompaniment 😛 Zingy! I love the word Zingy!
I discovered weird fruits earlier today in the woods by a cemetery before I watched this video and we didn’t know what it was but now I know because they looked just like the ones Emmy is using😊😊

oh how lucky i am to have a new video to watch on my birthday ♥️ thank you emmy!
I have nothing clever to say.
Clever to admit it
the cheese cake looks delicious, thank you Emmy !
I'm watching this at 420am because I often have difficulty sleeping - and now my insomnia is worse because I've started craving cheesecake!
Cheese cake is my favourite! White chocolate is my favourite! That looks delicious!
*"I licked the beaters after I got done beating."* Story of my life, Emmy.
I LOVE adding half of a splenda to my passion fruit! Also, the membrane is edible. - a caribbean
I love the word zingy !!!! Yum recently tried passion fruit after your video definitely trying this 😘😘😘
Aahhhh I got so excited to see a new fruity fruits video!!!!!!
I discovered weird fruits earlier today in the woods by a cemetery before I watched this video and we didn’t know what it was but now I know because they looked just like the ones Emmy is using😊😊
Love these vids! In South Africa we call them granadillas.😊
Yummy and delicious 😋
The crunch from the seeds is prob so good with creamy cheesecake
Crunching the seeds is no fun.....
@@wcallisa22 how so? It's a textural variety with a tangy flavor that compliments the cream cheese
