  • Former NFL football player Travis Rudolph stands trial for allegedly opening fire at a group of people in Palm Beach County, Florida in April 2021, killing one and injuring another. Rudolph faces one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder. The former Florida State University and New York Giants wide receiver unsuccessfully tried to claim a “stand your ground” defense in the first-degree murder trial. Authorities said the shooting happened when four men confronted Rudolph at his Florida home following an alleged fight between the footballer and his girlfriend. Two of the men were shot: Sebastien Jean-Jacques was killed and Tyler Robinson was hospitalized but recovered.

      1. Why didn’t Travis shoot them when they first came if that was his intention
      2. There were a few other times he had the chance as well but refrained.
Could it be that he thought he saw a gun and panicked ?
Could it be that him shooting at them made them so shook they were more focused on escaping than shooting back at that point ?
Could he have been so pumped full of adrenaline and fear that he convinced himself they wanted to turn around and retaliate ?
There’s a lot of possibilities. But I don’t think he just up and decided he wanted to end them all. That seems a stretch and it feels that there were some extenuating circumstances that we are not fully aware of due to poor investigative work.

We had two high profile cases in Ohio where both defendants were found not guilty because of a corrupt prosecution and incompetent police. Just like this. The prosecution suborned perjury.

Clearly you didn’t watch the whole trial, or didn’t care enough to listen! They didn’t shoot right away because they saw the cameras on the house and thought they were recording! Also, the reason why Travis got his gun was because those guys were attacking DJ…..you probably don’t know who that is based on your opinions of this case so far, so FYI, that’s Travis’ brother! The reason Travis ran down by the car was because that’s where they were attacking his brother and just because someone is driving away possibly, doesn’t mean that the two other men weren’t pointing their guns at Travis at the same time!
Finally, clearly the jury didn’t agree with you because Travis, the innocent man, is out enjoying his life like he should be….because he did nothing wrong!
The 4 other men and Dominique, the girlfriend should have charges against them because of what they did! Also, the lead detective should be ashamed of herself for not doing her job and the prosecutors should also be ashamed for bringing this case to trial!

Several guns against his handgun may of only heightened the situation. He knew the only way to scare or get them away was to use the big gun.
